have never met such a pooey girl (no offence, MissRee: perhaps Freya was not "on form" when I met her?). There were bits in it again, almost as though she makes solid food in that digeston of hers! Have I given birth to a cheesemaker?

("Blessed be the cheesemakers")

Sorry for TMI, but one "bit" looked like chopped green pepper, although it smeared when I poked it, and lost its square shape.

I know I ought to be disgusted, but am kind of fascinaed....

Sorry to hear your back is still bad, DSM. I had a weirdly light feeling across my shoulders and shoulderblades after yoga the other day, and realised that the stretching must have really helped, as that area is constantly feeling strained. Is there a mother and baby class you could go to? DD seems to enjoy it (it is pretty funny, seeing twenty ladies standing on one leg each, and the baby is used as a weight in some exercises, so there's some swinging about for her, too).

Rashkakeller, what a sweetie! Smile

LittleMissFlustered · 15/05/2012 11:03

No weaning here, just lots of shouty octopus as I'm not always on board with his theory on feeding. Apparently me not wanting to sit and feed him aaaaaaall day is just mean and nasty:o

He is currently shouting at the electronic babysitter while I wonder what happened to my house >_

plutocrap · 15/05/2012 11:18

Octoboy is missing a trick there. He ought to be cooing delightedly at the "babysitter" and fostering competition between you and it.

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 15/05/2012 11:51

Plu I looked around for one. There is none in my or surrounding areas Sad I try and go swimming once a week to stretch my body.

Sorelip · 15/05/2012 12:06

I just got headbutted in the mouth by DS. I cried.

Hi Plu!

plutocrap · 15/05/2012 12:07

I know this is something one must only whisper, but

Failing that, if you have any local friends with babies, you could always contact a yoga/pilates coach (e.g. one who does sessions at your leisure centre, but at inconvenient times) and get her (him?) to do sessions for you all at home, a bit like a mobile hairdresser.

plutocrap · 15/05/2012 12:08

Sore lip indeed! Sad I don't wonder you cried. Well done for covering your teeth with your lip, though. That's motherlove...

jigglebum · 15/05/2012 12:22

Morning - sorry to hear about the hospital trips, houses falling through, families being annoying etc.

Was meant to be swimming with f this morning but she hadn't had a sleep so decided not to risk it and then of course she stayed awake for the next 45 mins so we could have gone!

was very ill yesterday - thumping head, shivery and felt so sick. Phoned DH at work and he had to come home to look after the DCs. I retired to bed and left him to it - too ill to even give instruction. all credit to him he was great and kept to F's routine really well. Made me realise, however I much I moan about him he can be great!

Quick question for FF ladies who are weaning - how much milk does your LO have? F is now on 3 meals a day (just veg, fruit and baby rice and not loads of it) but is still pretty keen on on her milk and hasn't really reduced her milk intake much at all.

Right I am meant to be finishing the hoovering..

LittleMissFlustered · 15/05/2012 12:25

I just got a sainsbury's thingie through the post, lots of money off coupons for weaning bobs and bits. Marvellous

So, this is me typing on a laptop. From now on you're all going to have to play a guessing game. Is it a typo or a wonderfull Banbury-esque auto-correct?

I love keeping you all on your toesWink

Right, Octoboy has admitted defeat and is asleep in his pram, wrong way up of course, so I am away to make a bacon sarnie and start ripping the bunch of Harry Potter audio book CDs I have piled up in my kitchen. It is such a glam life is it not? Go on, admit it, you're just green with envy and jealousy aren't you?:o

Sorelip · 15/05/2012 12:39

Does anyone want a jumperoo? We've got a walker now, and the jumperoo isn't being used. I'm in south east London.

Sorelip · 15/05/2012 12:40

Also I have a couple of lightly used breast pumps that I'd like to shift. Free obviously, will advertise on freecycle if no one wants it here, but thought I'd offer first refusal to you lovely ladies.

MissRee · 15/05/2012 12:47

Hoe much for thejumperoo sorelip? I'm just the other side of the m25!

Sorelip · 15/05/2012 14:16

Free, MissRee, I just want it out of the flat as quickly as possible as it's taking up too much room. It's the Luv U Zoo jumperoo.

MissRee · 15/05/2012 14:24

I'll take it off your hands please! I've been desperately searching for one for Freya at a reasonable price but they're SO expensive! Can you PM me your address pls?

Thank you so much!

Figgygal · 15/05/2012 14:53

Mini rant alert!!

i went for a meet up with some mums from babygroup today and we were all talking about things we've sold on ebay, given to charity shops i said id sold my maternity clothes and they had all kept theirs for baby no.2 when i said i wasnt planning on dc2 there was an audible gasp from 4 different woman. Honestly it was open mouths all round like id just fed lo spam!! i didnt think there was such a stigma about single child families these days.

OiMissus · 15/05/2012 15:00

Spam. ha ha ha! Grin There's nowt wrong with a bit of reconstituted meat product in a tin. However, only thinking about having one child, well, how could you? How very dare you? Don't you think about the manufacturers of double buggies? Think about all those people in China. Or something. Wink
Maybe they were all very broody, planning whole netball and football teams, and the gasp was accidental/unintended.
Will they let you go to babygroup again?

plutocrap · 15/05/2012 15:25

Audible gasp - hmph. Did you try the ol' "Did you mean to be so rude?" number on them?

seven77 · 15/05/2012 15:56

Welcome back plu!

Well done to all of the sleeping babies.

jiggle Eva is on 2 meals a day (porridge for breakfast and veggies for lunch) and hasn't reduced her milk intake at all. She has 4 8oz bottles a day and generally always finishes them unless she's eaten more solids than usual beforehand.

figgy how bloody rude!

Difficult day here, DD has been refusing sleep but has now finally given in, and DS must be starting to feel better as he's running me about and seems to Wang something every time I leave the room. Our flat goes under auction tomorrow, I'm very nervous!

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 15/05/2012 17:41

Jiggle Sky has veggies for lunch & porridge for tea and 4 - 5 x7oz bottles a day.

Had a very busy day. Swimming, sensory & meeting at work...sort of decided my hrs when I go back to work in October, just has to be agreed by the partners and we are all set. Have Sky down for the nursery so no worries there, just need to get in writing now. Also going on a conference in June am looking forward to that.

Have banging headache now tho so chill out night to catch up on silent witness.

LittleMissFlustered · 15/05/2012 18:01

LittleMissFlustered · 15/05/2012 18:59

Sounds obvious, but take some paracetamol or ibu if you're able :(

Feel better soon.

Boychild is still bouncing. Two doughnuts appear to be the same as a couple of nuclear reactors in the energy stakes >_

Sorelip · 15/05/2012 19:07

Seven hope all goes well tomorrow.

Mopsy I hope you feel better after a decent sleep.

Mmmm...doughnuts.

Well today has been a bit of a clusterfuck. Due to a strange ongoing issue with the inlaws, and a screaming match on the phone with step-FIL, I have cut MIL and step-FIL out of my and Ellis' life. It's a child protection issue, I am not deliberately being a dragon. Poor DH is caught in the middle of it all. I got so angry I cried properly. Apparently I'm a 'bigot' and a 'fucking cow' for not wanting someone that has been accused of sexually assaulting a child near my child. Ha fucking ha ha.
