figgy you're making me hungry! doesn't take much

I thought of you too dsm when I mopped my floors and disinfected the kitchen sink this morning!

Fairly good night, had to get up to settle DD twice, then feed at 4 and awake at 7. Not too bad at all.

Have physio coming this morning for my split stomach muscles. Sometimes she gives me a back massage too but not sure I'll be lucky enough today.

Took DH to see the house I liked on Saturday and he was even more enthusiastic than me! Still not sure if now is the right time to move though. Our childcare costs will double when I'm back at work in Jan so our income won't actually change that much when I'm back at work. So much to think about!

HoneyLovesCake · 14/05/2012 10:33

Drum roll please ladies!!!

Rocco is crawling Grin

Lol @ LMF; put him up for his nap on our bed & surrounded him with pillows although he is barely crawling, caterpillar style 7 it'd probably take him a week to get to the edge of the bed!

NC sorry about your wknd...that's rubbish :(

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 14/05/2012 10:53

Figgy Enjoy the next 6 weeks.

I don't think Darcie is aware it SATS week tbh. I think they kinda do it in a way like it's a pop quiz so not to much pressure.

Good to see some of you are channeling me and housework obsession Grin I will be putting that to good use in a mo, when I blitz Darcie's bomb has hit it of a room!!!

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 14/05/2012 10:55

NC Hope your DH runs around after you at the weekend!

AWomanCalledHorse · 14/05/2012 10:58

Also 'Leave that alone'!

Have a great 6 weeks Figgy!

DS is doing an odd lifting butt in the air & worming backwards 'crawl', one day he'll realise he can move his hands...

Northen, hope this week is better for you. x

Sorelip · 14/05/2012 11:02

NC your DH owes you big time!

Honey that's great! My mum says that when they start crawling is when putting nappies on gets a lot harder :) I'm not looking forward to that, Ellis is already enough of a wrigglebum!

HoneyLovesCake · 14/05/2012 11:15

AWCH that's how Rocco started. Yesterday he started consistently rolling front to back. This morning he was going backwards a bit with bum in the air, 5 mins later he managed to do a 180 shuffle then started pulling himself forwards while putting bum in the air for a caterpillar crawl. it's happened so fast; I haven't babyproofed yet Shock

GeeandTee · 14/05/2012 11:21

DD has only rolled once and that was when I had popped out of the room for a few minutes! She is sitting quite well when propped up though, and likes to sit in the high chair next to DS and watch him eat!

I shouldn't have wished for a massage from the physio. Ouch! Most painful massage ever!

Well done Rocco!

Couple of weaning questions. 1. When is it ok to introduce meat? I'm going to asda tonight and need to buy a few jars of baby food. I don't have time to be doing much pureeing at the moment, nearly all the jars have milk in them or gluten so there aren't many options if I try to avoid meat as well. 2 I know gluten advice is 6 months but will one week do any harm? 3. (mostly for aethel) when is the best time to try re-introducing normal formula to see if she can have foods with milk in them?

Figgygal · 14/05/2012 11:37

Crawling!! Very jealous Danny hasn't even rolled yet though this weekend is looking nearer to it. I must make him do more tummy time see if that helps

LittleMissFlustered · 14/05/2012 12:31

seven the jars for their age with meat in contain very little. I'd avoid the wheat as a bigger priority as it tends to trigger more problems than meat would. If that makes sense?

Also, the pouches as opposed to jars tend to be simpler fare. Ella's kitchen have some fab tastes from memory:)

seen the FB post Air - I do not know what to say, other than well done for remiaining calm. I'm not sure I would have.
Pompoms for Rocco!
Boi rolled from back to front on Friday for the first time, and now he won't stop! He's pushing his bum in the air and "frog-legging" but not getting the push. he's aklso started lifting himself with his hands - but not at the same time. So hasn't actuially moved anywhere yet. However, last night in the bath, he was practically crawling - getting all the coordinates right. If it moves as quick as you say hlc, he's probably showing off his new moves to my SIL and I'm missing it!!
Nah. He'll save it and keep it secret for me, won't he?

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 14/05/2012 13:03

Air Just seen your FB status and it is Shock Well Done on remaining calm, not sure I would of been.

LittleMissFlustered · 14/05/2012 13:11

That post is why I have nothing to do with certain ex family members. They're oblivious to lines.

Not on FB so no idea what's going on!

I'm sorting out DD's passport and EHIC card today and various other bits of paperwork. Boring!

KateM77 · 14/05/2012 14:14

aethel no more luck here so far. Day 3 and still total failure on the bottle front. He just won?t even suck at it. I was thinking I?d try water in a sippy cup and see how he finds that, and had been thinking to try something similar to what you suggested if we had any success there. Meantime, I?ll keep plugging away each day and see what happens. At least DD will be at nursery tomorrow so won?t be around to ?help?.

Sorry to hear about the crap weekend Northern

Well done to Rocco!

Figgy Daniel?s not rolling either yet. He just about gets onto his side, but that?s it. He mostly just does crunches, trying to sit himself up.

Not a great day here. I was getting DS out of his highchair and didn?t realise DD was hanging off the side of it. As I lifted him out, DD fell flat on her back with the big, heavy highchair crashing down on top of her and hitting her full in the face. She?s napping now, but I think she?ll have some quite spectacular bruises on her nose and cheek Sad. On a more positive note DS sat unaided throughout most of musical minis this morning Smile

AnAirOfHope · 14/05/2012 14:17

What really gets me is the fact i have told them repeatedly and that they did it with air. I just cant trust them to looksfter my children and now i have no childcare. I have to take air to school settling in session and hope not allowed. Dh off today but next week she will have to go with me or we dont go.

Its my 5th wedding annariversary today im not sure if there will be a 6th :(
