I would love to do a marathon one day, don't know if it will ever happen though as am scared my old running injury will come back Sad

What are the distances in a sprint tri?

I have been doing the plank while hovering over A, he loves it

Jnice · 23/04/2012 03:03

Pene I have never managed more than 10k without injury Sad

That's why I liked training for the tri. The sprint did was 750m ocean swim, 20k bike and 5k run. In hoping to get back into it next year as I really got the bug!

Jnice · 23/04/2012 03:11

Cheshire hugs to you and DP - you must have been so shocked. So glad all is well x

Jnice · 23/04/2012 03:14

Mama I feel old too. Turning 40 IN 2 weeks :-o

Leo also turned 6 months today but overshadowed by Felix's 5th birthday party (5 on Wednesday). I have some photos of him on the couch in a sleeper but nothing at all ceremonial Sad Blush

Jnice · 23/04/2012 03:23

Apologies for all the individual posts (iPhone appSad)

Scheh - I'm glad to hear that your getting some rest with MIL. It sounds like a tough situation being in the MBU. I hope you are feeling stronger by the day x

Jnice · 23/04/2012 03:24

Sassy I am in awe of you and 'the struggle'. Wow! I must get done air in my tyres and get out on the road again.

CheshireDing · 23/04/2012 05:35

No more screaming from P for a bit thankfully. If officially sttn is midnight-5am than P has just managed it Smile, give or take a couple of minutes.

Happy 6 months L Smile

Penelope1980 · 23/04/2012 06:00

Jnice maybe a sprint tri is what I should think about then, to avoid injury

cheshire just saw your earlier post - A often wakes screaming about 40 mins after he's been put down as well. No idea why! Kepping the hall light on helps sometimes, but not always so haven't really a clue

sassy34264 · 23/04/2012 07:23

. fun2tri

ive done the cheshire and the north west one. i loved it!
the age range and ability range is massive. its definately for everyone, regardless of how good you are. you are staggered throughout the day (you dont all set of at once) so no one knows where you have come.

I'm doing the south coast tri on there sassy!

FuzzzyDuck · 23/04/2012 10:03

How u feeling today bb3? Did you make it to work?

BB3 · 23/04/2012 11:33

No I am at home today off work. Still feeling pretty crap, but better than yesterday. I am still in my PJs. I really should get dressed, it always makes you feel a bit more human. Taking tomorrow of too!

BB3 · 23/04/2012 11:33

How about you?

FuzzzyDuck · 23/04/2012 12:08

Yeah, I'm not to bad. Just all stuffed up! S seems to have escaped it though fingers crossed.
Have a lazy day (well as lazy as you can with 3 kids Grin!!)

MamaMaiasaura · 23/04/2012 13:42

bb3 andfuzzyduck I hope you are all better soon.

I ache a bit from yesterday especially my bottom and shins. Just wondered, if I take up running and my knees give up, will I end up horribly obese? Confused

Got all 3 dc home, ds1 sore throat and earache, ds2 coughing all blinking night and Jessica joining in every now and then. Actually been nice tho, all in pjs. Ds1 and ds2 played lovely together, Lego, cars magnetix and they're now watching dinosaur movie with popcorn (which I partly burnt so house stinks Blush), while I'm in bed with Jessica for her third feed/nap today. She's been grumbling alot for bfeed and nap but over weekend I didn't "click" that's what she wanted. Made for quite a whiney weekend and stressed mummy. Oops.

MamaMaiasaura · 23/04/2012 13:43

jnice happy 6 months to Leo for yesterday Smile

elgoldenflower · 23/04/2012 15:18

Sorry to hear of lots of poorly mummys and LOs!

HV confirmed Lincoln has a milk allergy so we're being prescribed special formula Sad Dannid was it you're LO that had a milk allergy?

Cheshire Lincoln goes through phases of waking screaming, think they are bad dreams myself as he really needs a cuddle to calm down.

MamaMaiasaura · 23/04/2012 15:41

elgo how come hv px formula, thought you bfing still. Sorry he has milk allergy, Sad my nephew does as affects so many foods. Can't have chocolate even.

elgoldenflower · 23/04/2012 16:19

Hi mama yes BF but missing 2 or 3 feeds (he's still a frequent feeder despite weaning) each work day and worried that my milk supply was dipping as I can't express at work. Tried formula to see if we could replace 1 feed. Apparently they mostly grow out of milk allergies fingers X Confused. Have a dwindling stash of EBM in freezer for now.

FuzzzyDuck · 23/04/2012 16:32

el glad to hear you got milk! Fingers crossed he does grow out of it. A friend of mines dd had allergy till around 15 months then was ok Smile. It is dannid but I don't know that she comes on here much. You could post on fb group and she may reply there

Does anyone know if cupoftea is still around? Can't find her threads on little bea

FuzzzyDuck · 23/04/2012 16:42

I found her thread. So glad to read little bea is still going strong Smile

Jnice · 23/04/2012 18:07

el sorry to hear about the formula / milk allergy. Glad you have px formula option (yay NHS - it costs a bomb over here). I know lots of kids through DS daycare that had milk allergy as an infant and grew out of it by 3. Fx for L. It's very different to scary peanut allergy.

Engelsmeisje · 23/04/2012 18:35

Wow, you guys are chatty. It'll soon be time for a new thread!

Had a good run Sunday, though rained for the last 2k (needed it to cool off my tomato face Grin ).

Lots to catch up on, so will go back and have a read Smile

CheshireDing · 23/04/2012 21:06

Pene and Golden what time is bedtime? The reason I am asking is because I have since been Googling the screaming thing and as P has a nap around 12.30pm and 4.30pm, then it's dinner and getting ready for bed at 6pm it seems her 4.30pm nap is possibly too close to bedtime and that actually she is waking from a nap (rather than bedtime sleep). I am just wondering what time your bedtimes are to see if my theory is correct - otherwise it's back to the drawing board.

Also somebody asked about swimming the other day and getting changed afterwards (I think). When P was really little I used to get her dried and changed first but since she is more robust now I strip her nappy, wetsuit etc off near the pool then lay her on her change mat with a towel over her. By the time I am dressed she is dry and she just enjoys lying there kicking whilst I get ready.

Engels how far did you run? I have just been for a run but then stopped at the shop for cookies, so bit pointless really Grin

FuzzzyDuck · 23/04/2012 22:06

Was just reading all our ante-natal/post-natal threads. Actually had a tear in my eye!! I'm so glad all those months are 'documented' to read back over. One day I'll copy them onto computer to keep forever. God, makes me want a tiny squishy newborn again Shock

That was all! Grin
