Jnice · 20/04/2012 04:46

Oh no Scheh Sad did they assume his nights were sorted and it didn't matter? So sorry to hear the sleep has regressed, hope they can put him back in the nursery again.

MrsH - we have a few days away planned next week, Leo is 6m on Sunday but I want to wait until we are home as BLW in a hotel could be difficult!

Penelope1980 · 20/04/2012 06:46

Jnice I think that your baby may be a bit younger? We should put the baby birthdays on FB, I always forget apart from those who were around the same time as me. I know we had the stats page but can't remember where it's gone!

scheh that's so annoying ...

We went swimming today, A loved it! I am going to try and go weekly now, work willing. It's tough logistally though with all the changing and changing again and both of us getting wet - any seasoned pros got any tips?

strawberrypenguin · 20/04/2012 07:54

scheh Sad did they tell you why they have done that? Can they give you some help to settle him in your room, tell you how they do naps in the nursery etc. hope he settle soon

mrsh W hated baby rice, refused to eat it, might be worth getting a few jars of fruit purée's to try as well so you can see if it's food or rice that is being refused! Rusk mashed with their normal milk is quite good to it has a bit more flavour but is still a gentle start. Sorry not trying to tell you how to do things saying what worked for us.

Would someone be able to add me to the FB group? Been meaning to ask for ages but keep forgetting Smile

BB3 · 20/04/2012 09:05

Scheh - don't flame me now but I can kind of see why they put him back with you. Maybe it was a space thing but maybe they want to prepare / help you for those rougher nights when you're home and he is not able to sleep in his room alone. I might be wrong though. Hopefully it will just be the one night an he can go back in so you can all sleep x

Oooh sassy for me it's tommy Lee and johnny Depp - I like the messy hair, rough round the edge look - not that you would ever think that when you see my husband (who actually is not 'my type' on paper!)

My babies are 7 months old today - that's it they'll soon be 17 and leaving home... Sad Wink

FuzzzyDuck · 20/04/2012 09:09

bb3 happy 7 months!! That comment made me Grin. Just thinkin back to this time last year, I was about 16/17 weeks preg. It's incredible Smile

Scheherezade · 20/04/2012 09:42

Bb3- he'll be going back in his own room at home.

It's because they've got a new admission so they needed the bedroom he was in. I said there was no point putting him in the one room left because what happens if there's another admission? They only put one baby in the nursery at a time and the twins are in there. So I'm seeing the doctor today and going home.

MamaMaiasaura · 20/04/2012 09:52

bb3 happy 7 months! Lol at the leaving home comment. Johnny drop lives nearby in lymington, he's very phwoar. Ds1 has already said he has no plans to leave till he's at least 30! Lol how's your ds doing? Had preschool parents eve and dh went. Ds2 settled really well, seeing dr in may re markers for autism but looks like even if he has, he'll cope at school. Got our first choice school too and he will have his friends with him fx

scheh did they not give you any warning? Have they changed care plans or just not enough space in nursery? It might be as bb3 said and they are preparing you but Sad at not being able to settle him. It's like you were encouraged to wean and ff and now they've thrown you in the deep end. Have they got a discharge plan in place? They really should be agreeing a care plan with you not on their own without discussion. I've been both an inpatient in an MBU with ds1 Sad and then a MH nurse till I had ds2 so know a little from both perspectives xx

Jnice Jessica only started solids because she was grabbing my food off my plate and shovelling it in, so "dainty" Hmm lol. Don't worry L not started yet, they'll all be eating in a year a few weeks now makes no difference. Where are you going again? If you did want to let him try, a bread stick isn't too messy, or a chopped pear or soft carrot. Just have pack of baby wipes and a sense of humour Grin. I can't believe our babies are almost 6 months already!

sassy I still have my levellers "cassette" I need to get a cd, they still gig around here but I feel so old lol. Dh was out at percentage evening and scouts and didn't get back till gone 9 so felt a bit mean not to clear up Wink

cheshire mmmm muffins Grin I'll have peak later. I made banana bread on Wednesday but J wast in any kind of mood to try it yesterday.

Meant to be at baby signing today but J temp over 101 again and she's fast asleep so laying in bed with her seems much better option. She's hating her medicine Sad so hard to give it her and takes forever as she then spits it out.

Aww ds1 (12) school called as he'd forgotten his mobile and didn't want me to worry about him. How sweet. Grin he is such a softie

MamaMaiasaura · 20/04/2012 09:54

X post scheh Smile great news you are going home x

MamaMaiasaura · 20/04/2012 10:00

sassy34264 · 20/04/2012 10:03

eva was 6 months yesterday- i thought it was today, so thats why i didnt say yesterday! Blush
has anyone else got brain fog as bad as me? im starting to think this is it forever............Hmm

bb3 my dp isnt my type on paper either, a bit too good looking, and clean cut- he only shaves for work cos he knows i love stubble. But i find him very fit! its the bod and the rough edge he has. Grin

sassy happy 6 months Eva :) had baby brain for so long I don't know what it's like without one Wink

sassy34264 · 20/04/2012 10:24

thanks mamma im the same. im more worried than im letting on. i just cant remember things!

scheh i spend so long writing and deleting stuff to you, cos im a big insensitive- skin like a rhino person and i worry you will misinterpret it. i mean this to be helpful- have you thought about when you put c in his own room and he does wake up in the night? you seem to be saying that you have no means of settling him now you've stopped bf,. but there will be times when he'll need settling. are you ok with that?

OP posts:
sassy34264 · 20/04/2012 10:52

im beginning to get Envy at dp.
not discounting the fact that he gets to go out the house everyday and come back to everything done.
so far this new job has give him a toyota avensis (whatever its called), a laptop, 5 weeks in italy (i WILL be going) and talk of training in germany and an ipad and then last night he came home with his company phone, the newest make of iphone!
do you know what you come home with in the teaching profession? a bloody headache and a pile of marking! umph!

I can't beleive it's been 7 months since your post about your waters breaking bb3. I was sooooo jealous at the time ... I am find myself reminicing alot about those days before A was born and the first couple of months he was alive.

strawberry am not sure how to add you sorry but someone else will know .. ??

sassy34264 · 20/04/2012 11:01

im a bit rubbish at technical/computer stuff strawberry. it's penguin who usually does it, but if you pm me your name on fb and i'll see if i can do it. :)

BB3 happy 7 months Smile

sassy happy 6 months for yesterday Smile wow your DH landed on his feet with that job didn't he Grin think I would be a bit Envy too. Thanks I'll pm you hopefully I shouldn't be too hard to find on there.
shech how do you feel about going home? (if I'm being insensitive please tell me I don't want to upset you, sometimes I'm not sure if I should ask these things or not but if seems worse not to say anything to me)

strawberrypenguin · 20/04/2012 11:34

pene thanks Smile know what you mean about looking back to their first few months, was going through photos yesterday and the ones from when W was born look like a completely different baby Grin

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 20/04/2012 11:56

Wow sassy what job has dp got and how do I get one?

sassy34264 · 20/04/2012 12:18

ed the money isnt brilliant. bit of a pay drop from navy. which is why he is at other interview now.

just put twins in cot for nap and forgot that jacob has managed to climb out this morning. he was out before i even got back downstairs! now what do i do?! chloe never climbed out.

OP posts:
FuzzzyDuck · 20/04/2012 12:21

sassy tie him down..? Grin. I remember my mum telling me about the first time I got out my cot. She said she woke one morning and I was standing at side of bed just staring at her! Said she jumped out her skin! My brother taught me all the tricks Grin

Job sounds great! I done my application last night, just need to read over it later and email back. Sometimes I hate new beginnings Confused

sassy34264 · 20/04/2012 12:36

i was planning on doing some housework (no, really) after being motivated through reading the top tips for housework thread. instead im sat on couch stuffing pringles in my gob and worrying (there is no gate on their room or the top of the stairs) and running up and down to put him back in (4 times and counting).
im hoping that with all the crying he is doing about being put back in, that he might exhaust himself soon. or he might wake eva up and then ive got no chance anyway.
see, this is why i do tough love- its just such a pain in the bum otherwise.
