EdwardorEricCantDecide · 19/04/2012 12:02

M has been sleeping till 9am-10am most mornings, she usually wakes for a feed at 5am then get up with C at 7am but I'm now struggling to fit all her meals in before bedtime again. I'm thinking I'll need to wake her earlier? But feels wrong to wake her when she looks so peaceful.

FuzzzyDuck · 19/04/2012 12:13

Our day is roughly..
6.30/7 wake
7 milk
7.30-8ish sleep
8.30 breakfast
10.30/11 nap
11.30/12 milk
1.30/2 lunch
3.30 milk
4 nap
5.30 dinner
6 bath
6.45 milk
7 bed

It is all rough though. Yesterday she slept at 10.30 then again at 2 so she was gubbed by 5.30pm and bed time couldn't come soon enough!! She has dropped to only 2x30 min naps so I try to have afternoon one after 3 at earliest otherwise she is a mess by dinner time! If only she could understand sleep is good Grin

sassy34264 · 19/04/2012 12:22

fuzzy isobel is fine. i found out why she was sick. i had a asda delivery on wed and they sent me bread with 2 days left on it. i didnt check the date and gave it her 2 days later. i dont think ive ever bought bread and it have mould on it 4 days later, so it didnt occur to me. not sure why jacob was ok- iron constitution i think.

the early starts- i remember it well from having the twins- bout the only thing i do remember! everyone went through it on my sept 10 thread too. it takes a while to adjust their sleep time so that they're not getting up at 5am. everyone was particularly pissed off about that one. my mum said i used to sleep 5pm-5am every day. at the time i remember thinking that was bliss as i couldnt get jacob to go to sleep before pigging midnight and then isobel would be up at 5! oh god, its all coming flooding back- i was the walking dead.
you have to fiddle with naps, feeding putting down times till you get it right.

ed i dont like waking them either, but if i want them in some sort of loose routine, i have too. ive woke eva twice yesterday and once the day before.

OP posts:
sassy34264 · 19/04/2012 12:30

eva's routine is:

7am- breast feed
7.30- sleep (this is the one i usually have to wake her for)
10- breakfast and milk
12.30- nap ( till 3 and i have to wake her sometimes!)
3-lunch and milk (stays awake now till bed, but if tired i will give her an hr)
6- dinner and milk
8-bed

OP posts:
FuzzzyDuck · 19/04/2012 13:00

A 3 hr nap midday!!! Ah, one can dream lol. Think S is missing the nap gene Confused

Scheherezade · 19/04/2012 15:10

Hi all, remember me?! Haha.

Cyrus' routine is;

6.30 wake up & bottle
7.30breakfast
11 bottle
12.30 lunch
3.30-4 bottle
5 dinner & pudding
6.30 bath
7 bottle & bed.

Nap times are all over the place, but he sleeps 10-12 hours every night without fail. He used to wake every couple of hours when he.was sleeping in the same room as me, but literally the first night he went in the nursery he slept through. Sometimes he stirs in the night and wakes up but I just ignore him and he goes back off.

MamaMaiasaura · 19/04/2012 15:20

fuzzy sorry your ex is such a pathetic prick. Fwiw you are a brilliant mummy and if he can't be there for her , he doesn't deserve her. On the routine front, I think Jessica's is closest to yours.

For all of us we have tea at 5pm so we eat together, dh home by 4.10 as leaves early and only 15 min away. Bed for ds2 and zj is 7 and ds1 is 8.30 lights out at 9 now he's 12 and teenagerish Wink

J slept and cried all day. Gave her 5ml
Calpol as will be 6 months on Sunday. She's got her 2nd tooth thro as well today so been a full on day for her, poor girl. Ds2 been so good tho, but he's running a temp now too.

sassy eek with the head, but chocolate is magic. Everything goes in slow motion doesn't it? Heads make me paranoid as I fractured my skull falling from bedroom window on to concrete when I was 2. My whole childhood meant my mum was hugely protective of me injuring my head again as I have internal bone scarring and risk of epilepsy. In my teens/twenties I did fair amount of wrecking/moshing tho and I'm ok Grin

Re CC not for me, but I don't have pressure of making sure they can settle without me

sassy34264 · 19/04/2012 15:34

Grin at moshing mamma i remember it well!
bloody hell, no wonder you're worrying about head injuries. i'll be worrying about yours now! dont be telling me you're going bungee jumping or anything, cos i'll have to tell you off! Smile

OP posts:
sassy34264 · 19/04/2012 15:37

i wouldnt think cc was for you mamma you sound like an earth mummy type. (and i mean that as a compliment) im far to selfish and havent the patience. Smile

OP posts:
FuzzzyDuck · 19/04/2012 16:20

Aww mama. Maybe some calpol will help her along. Thanks for comment re her dad. Yes he is a prick Angry. sassy glad to hear you found out what caused I sickness Sad.

I lay down with S when she nodded off at 3.30. Hoped that if I was next to her she might go longer, but nope! How does her body know to wake after exactly 30 mins?! It's amazing!! Milk then I'm off to make chilli for our dinner, nom nom nom Grin

FuzzzyDuck · 19/04/2012 16:34

Scrap the chilli, didn't leave kidney beans soaking long enough. Will need to wait till tomorrow now. What to have tonight... Will have a look at blw website and see what I can throw together for S Smile

Engelsmeisje · 19/04/2012 19:20

nom nom nom is the one sound guaranteed to get giggles out of M every time Fuzzzy (he's a greedy pig like his mummy Grin )

MamaMaiasaura · 19/04/2012 19:50

Ended up at drs as her breathing was so noisy and she's got chest infection so on antibiotics. Glad j and ds2 asleep
Now (in my arms as I'm playing on phone). Bath time ds2 face planted on bathroom
Floor, poor boy. He cried and J joined in, tho to be fair she's cried most of day. Dh and ds1 at scouts. I want to untangleyself and eat my Easter egg.
sassy no offence taken at earth mother
Grin. So you liked indie/rock/metal too? I was never into dance/house whatever. I used to be a goth one night a week and indie/hippy others except on
Sunday's was biker night and Monday rock night Grin. I could wear dm's for all outfits tho lol.

enge Grin @ nom nom gettig giggles. Ours is "gooooo toooo sleeeeeep".

fuzzy sorry if I overstepped mark, it's just so unfair how he's treated you both x

MamaMaiasaura · 19/04/2012 19:52

fuzzy apparently sleep is around 30 mins and they usually wake but then fall back to sleep. j wakes up and I pretend I'm sleeping and she drifts off again.

strawberrypenguin · 19/04/2012 20:01

Hey scheh good to see you, how are things? C sounds like he's really got a good routine going
mama no wonder you worry about head injurys! I cracked my head when I was 2 as well, no where near as bad as yours though. I fell onto my rocking horse rocker, have a scar on my hairline, far enough up that it's covered though so not visible unless I show someone.
sassy good that you worked out what made I sick, glad she's on the mend
fuzzy did you find something yummy for dinner?
You all seem to have really set feeding routines I'm a bit more lax here Blush bottle when he wakes up, food at 9ish, 1ish and 5ish and bottle when he asks during the day before his last bottle at bedtime. He seems to have settled on 4 6oz bottles and 3 food meals as standard though

strawberrypenguin · 19/04/2012 20:03

mama x post. Poor little one hope the meds help. Hope ds2 is ok and you get your Easter egg soon xx

sassy34264 · 19/04/2012 20:31

god mamma its one thing after another! hope antibiotics kick in soon, poor j. hope ds2 isnt too injuried.

oh yes, i was an indie kid. i didnt wear dm's they were far to popular for me. i wore steel toe cap boots and yes i wore them with dresses!
i went to sheffield for uni days and spent a lot of time going watching indie bands. placebo were a favourite. but black grape were the best to watch. i liked nine inch nails, pj harvey, carter the unstoppable sex machine (saw them in birmingham) oh there were loads but i cant bloody remember them- damn my feeble brain!
i bloody loved any guy with long hair too- slash from guns and roses and sebastian something or other from skid row. first boyfriend had long hair.
oh i could reminice all night. Grin

OP posts:
sassy34264 · 19/04/2012 20:35

funnily enough im not mad keen on any music with a guitar in now. i like the script, kings of leon, feeder and the foo fighters and thats literally it.
i LOVE dance music.
i also LOVE men with shaved heads. i would be in heaven with shane ward and jason stratham.
go figure!

OP posts:
MamaMaiasaura · 19/04/2012 21:29

sassy mmmm long haired men when I was young. Not so keen now either. My absolute fav live bands were levellers, chumbawumba and this really famous band and I can't for life of me remember Blush I remember the concert and showmanship. Ditto dresses and very short shorts with tights and fishnets. I lol at the girls prancing around in them like they're new fashion Grin. I painted my dm's. Loved them. Had a leather jacket too with piglet painted on the back. Those were the days eh?

Got j on me asleep poor baby, woke up crying again. Never for Easter egg as house was a complete state and to be fair dh clears up most nights. Still was arsey when he got home tho Blush

sassy34264 · 19/04/2012 21:53

levellers-loved them. still got their album. guy from pearl jam had long hair and was a bit gorgeous.
sod dh, j is ill. x
i said to dp today, that i'd thought (whilst bathing all 3 babies by myself) that wouldnt it be nice to come home to happy babies that were fed, bathed, in clean, dry, ironed pyjamas and my dinner cooking in the oven.

OP posts:
FuzzzyDuck · 19/04/2012 23:43

sassy the family I worked for before S, I had then fed, bath, pjs on, hair brushed and dried for parents coming home!! Would be lovely to have someone do all that for me!!!
I'm enjoying this blw part, but by god the mess!! Swept and moped kitchen floor 3 times today!!! Ended up making courgette and sweet corn fritters for dinner but S got it everywhere!! Think it will be back to spoon feeding tomorrow Wink

CheshireDing · 20/04/2012 00:34

Flipping heck Mama hope things are better tomorrow Smile

FD I posted a muffin recipe on fb - P loved them. I did not make them though, my Mum did (I hate cooking, can't be arsed).

Today P has had (in various quantites depending on how much she liked it) yoghurt, porridge, banana, raisins, muffin, rice cake, satsuma, apple, bolognase, pasta, cheese sandwich, cucumber and bf. I clean our dining table now more times than I have ever cleaned a dining table in my whole life!

I said to DH yesterday that as I am now in charge of his and my money maybe we will be able to save up for.....a CLEANER. Now that I would love to come home to.

Jnice · 20/04/2012 00:59

No time to catch up just now Sad but a quick question. Is Leo the only one left not eating solids?

Scheherezade · 20/04/2012 01:17

I'm so fucking pissed off I'm literally shaking with rage. Theyve made me bring him in my room to sleep, so hes back to waking every 2 hours. And as im not bf I have no way of settling him back to sleep.

MrsHende · 20/04/2012 03:36

Oh Scheh, why have they done that? He was doing so well sleeping in the nursery. Sad

No Jnice, you are not alone! L is still EBF...however, after two or three days of feeding every two hours I'm beginning to think she's hungry and I've bought some baby rice. I was hoping to wait till 6 months but she'll be five months and ten days if I start herthis weekend.
