So you would own 20% of the old house and use the rest of the money to buy a new one? Wow I didn't even know you could do that!! It takes abit of getting your head round doesn't i!! Fr me anyway.

Violet keeps having unsettled nights too. For the last 2 nights. She's been awake at 4, only settling with a bottle. She does go straight back off, but not sleeping through like she was.

KLou111 · 05/04/2012 09:12

Yes exactly Liz, we would just take the rest out of it that we don't have a mortgage on. We only have a tiny mortgage on this, so we can still get quite a bit out, but it all depends what the mortgage company value it as, which is usually a bit lower than an estate agent.
So basically if our house is £100,000, and you've paid off £50,000, you can take out £30,000 as you leave 20% in. You can remortgage for more, just depends on how much the mortgage payments go up, and how much the mortgage company want you to leave in your existing house. Think ours is 10%, but don't want the mortgage too high.
Have I confused you??

So if you say had £100,000 spare, you could potentially buy 10x £100,000 houses with 10% deposit on each :)

It's shit this sleeping stuff isn't it?? I got up 3 times last night as Euan was lying across his cot and stuck. Wonder if you can buy square cots??? Hmmm......
Is violet still rolling on her belly?

OP posts:
Iwish · 05/04/2012 12:49

Omfg Joshua had his last feed at 7:00pm and didn't have another feed till 7:15am!!!! He was whinging/crying every 15 mins from 10:40 till 12:30 so ended up in my bed tho.
Had him weighed and he's 15lb 12oz now! Nearly 1lb on in 2 weeks Grin

Hope you lovelies are ok today x

KLou111 · 05/04/2012 20:46

Woohoo, holiday booked, 30th April, holiday village, sharm, Egypt! Can't friggin wait! Only 'downer' is Euan will be in same room as they didn't have any seperated rooms left, but we got it at such a bargain, was worth it! All inc 12 days, so won't have a kitchen, and will have to take jars for Euans meals, which I'm a bit hmm about, and will have to take some Milton.
So excited. A friend went recently and said it was great :)

Euan has his party to go to tomorrow, nothing else planned this weekend.

What you lot up to?

OP posts:
KLou111 · 05/04/2012 20:47

And good going on the feeding iwish!!!

OP posts:
Iwish · 05/04/2012 20:56

Holiday sounds lovely klou bet u can't wait. I don't think we will have a holiday till Joshua is older!
Awwww bless him, is it his first party?

I was v happy with him going over 12 hours with no feed, just need to get him to do it in his own bedroom and without waking up for any other reason lol.

I'm going out with my mum tomorrow and we have friends coming over on Saturday which should be nice. Nick is off all next week too so hopefully have a few nice family days. Swimming, park etc.

lizandlulu · 06/04/2012 17:48

klou holiday sounds lovely. wont you be able to get food for euan at the hotel? i presume it must be a buffet style? bet you cant wait!!!

iwish well done joshua and you!!!! yeyy!!!!klou if violet does roll on her belly she doesnt wake like she used to, she just stays asleep. if she is in her cot for her daytime sleep, she usually sleeps in the same position as me, on my front, one leg up kind of thing, but she sucks thumb, i dontGrin

KLou111 · 06/04/2012 19:21

Lol Liz thumb sucking!

That'll be nice iwish, having a week with Nick and Joshua :)

Well back from party, was really good, and boy what a cake!! I've put a piccie on fb.
Was nice for Euan to play with some other little uns, even if he did at one point pull the hair on one of them!!
He was so good. Bit tired though so he didn't have his bed milk.

Yes, there's a buffet Liz and also one catered just for kids, and it is a family resort so you can prepay £50 for a highchair, buggy, sterlizer, bottles, blender, changing mat etc etc, but I'm just a bit wary how it has been prepared as Egypt hasn't got the best reputation for sickness and diarrea.
They've also got a 0-2 'kids club' where you can leave your little one, and they give you a mobile phone if any probs, so may do that a few times. A friend went in Feb, so it was her that recommended it to us esp with Euan.

No, can't wait, diet started today, which was a bit gutted about with all the cakes etc at the party! But all I've had today is weetabix and banana, bag of crisps, 1/4 tuna sandwich, 1/4 ham sandwich, small sausage roll and a spoon of potato salad, oh and a small slice of cake. Beans on toast for tea as neither of us can be bothered to cook.
Want to lose 1 stone ideally by hol :)

OP posts:
Iwish · 07/04/2012 07:50

Lol liz at thumb sucking. Grin how was she last night?

Awww bet he was tired kloi does he still sleep the same even having no milk? I need to diet, but can't really till I've finished BFing.

Guess what.... JOSHUA SLEPT THROUGH LAST NIGHT!! 7:30 TILL 7:20! SO FRIKKIN HAPPY!! Grin Grin

KLou111 · 07/04/2012 21:42

Yeeeey :o did you sleep too? Or did you keep waking lol.
Hopefully the start of things to come :)

Euan slept the same last night despite lack of milk (he actually woke at 8.45am, was 9.05am I woke him the morning before!) he woke twice in the night as he'd spun around again. Seriously need to strap that boys legs down as he wouldn't wake otherwise ha ha!
We put him to bed at 6.20 tonight as he was shattered, hope he doesn't wake earlier!

OP posts:
Iwish · 08/04/2012 08:25

Yeh I actually slept! [bugrin] it was great!! I woke a couple of times but went strait back to sleep.
Lol at strapping his legs down!! What time did he get up today?

Joshua was in bed at 7:20 yesterday but was up at 5:15 for a feed then back to sleep till 7:45. Not bad really [busmile]
Had some friends round yesterday with their little girl. Had a lovely day.

KLou111 · 08/04/2012 12:13

Happy Easter all [busmile]

Glad you got some sleep iwish he's certainly getting better at it.
Photo of Joshua and his 'girlfriend's is so cute!!

Had a good night too, put Euan down at 6.20, he woke around 12 as he'd spun totally upside down, and again at 5, then he woke chatting at 8, got him up just after. So have decided to put him to bed earlier from now on as we don't mind 8 :)

He's just had a small choc egg, went down very well. I've resisted and very proud of myself lol.
I've lost 4lb too [bugrin]

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 08/04/2012 19:51

Evening all, how good am I, not had any chocolate today!!!! Chris has bought me one,cut I won't eat it till, maybe, ummmm end of junecwhen I have lost as much weight as I can ready for July holiday!

Well done Joshua! Good lad

We went to the boxing last night in town, it was bloody brill, I got a tiny bit merry and was only out the house 4 hours, mum and dad had the kids, violet was in bed but as soon as we went out she woke and didn't go back to sleep till 8.

Been a boring day today, Chris went racing and took lulu so only have the baby with me and went to nandos with some friends, had wrap, chicken, rice and coleslaw, then mango sorbet for aftershave, been very good!!!

lizandlulu · 09/04/2012 22:27

Well another washout of a day. Went to selby show and it never stopped raining, would have lovely if it was nice.

What have you all been upto?

I have had another shot at making food for the baby, well 'making' involved whiz zing some rhubarb up and putting a dollop of custard on top Grin, did it after she was in bed tho so still need to see how it goes down. My spaghetti Bol wasn't a hit even tho she likes nurserys!!

I was going to have an early night tonight, but pearl harbour is on, I can never turn it off it's such a good film

KLou111 · 10/04/2012 10:02

Watched pearl harbour too Liz but I fell asleep 30mins from the end!! I always miss the end of films lol!

Lol at the spag bol, did you make a baby one? You should ask nursery for their recipe :)

Not stopped raining here til now.

All good here. Euan getting more and more mobile, he doesn't sit still!!
He is in all sorts of positions in his cot, but his sleeping is better with it.
He's got one of those lightshows that automatically comes on when he makes a noise or moves a lot (not good in that respect!). Anyway last night about 10, it came on, I went in his room to have a peek if he was awake, and he was widthways with his legs up the side of the cot fast asleep!!
I've put a pillow ......hang on

Omfg!!! Euan down for his nap, just started yelling, he is SITTING at the base of his cot holding on to the bars trying to stand up!!!!! We've dropped the base to the middle setting, think we need to drop it to the bottom at this rate!!

As I was saying, I've put a pillow by the left side of his head as he spins that way so his head doesn't get jammed which is better. Should get a bumper really.

It's times like this I wish we had one of those video monitor things! I spun him round this morning at 7 when he woke as was upsidown, and within 5 min he was yelling, he was back upsidown on his belly!!

OP posts:
Iwish · 10/04/2012 13:18

Well Joshua's sleep has gone to shit again. Whoever said that food makes them sleep better is sooooo wrong (usually my stupid mil) he's waking randomly crying again and won't go to sleep without me. He's also being really clingy during the day, cries when I go out of the room, even when nick is there. He ends up bringing him to whatever room I'm in.

Made him some roast beef dinner last night and froze some. He had some for his lunch today and it went down a treat, he loved it.

Omg klou he will be stood up in there in no time!! We have dropped Joshua's cot too but he can only just sit alone lol.
Well done at losing 4lb too Grin

Lol at the food liz picky little monkey. Shame the weather ruined your day yesterday too :(

Omg I had a dream last night that I was pregnant again and it TERRIFIED me lol

KLou111 · 10/04/2012 17:42

I said that too iwish, Euan slept so much better on solids!
Do you think he may have tummy ache? When I first started, I had to keep changing the times so he could get used to it and so it was digested properly before bed (I was doing it quicker than my book so it was my fault lol!)

Sounds like a bit of separation anxiety there perhaps?

Lmao at your 'nightmare'!!!

Euan is such a goon, he sits and plays lovely, but has started to spend most of the time now trying to get on his belly, and once there, he doesn't know what to do and wants to sit up again, and shouts for us, then it all starts again.....!! I don't know if I wish he could crawl or not, he's going to be trouble then I just know it!!

OP posts:
Iwish · 10/04/2012 19:38

You lied to me then klou lol!!
I'm guessing it's more like separation anxiety than tummy ache because he is usually ok when he gets into my bed. It's driving me insane tho. Would love for him to sleep through all the time. He was in my bed at 3:30am and was up at 6:30!! He never gets up that early. He wanted boob but then didn't go back to sleep.
My nightmare was scary, I want another baby when Joshua's 2 but I'm scared to death haha.
Awww bless Euan. He really sounds like he wants to get crawling. Does he pull his legs up into the crawling position then get stuck? Joshua can crawl with his legs but his arms dont do anything so he just scrapes his face along the floor lol. Did he like his chocolate the other day?

Joshua is down to 3 booby feeds a day now and maybe one over night. It's really started to upset me. Must be my hormones (as bloody usual) but it really makes me sad that he doesn't need me for milk as much. It even upsets me that my boobs don't fill up at the times he has his solids any more. :(

KLou111 · 10/04/2012 19:53

Aww bless ya. Are you carrying on bf for a while?

Euans the other way round, he tries to crawl with his arms, and gets somewhere as it's wood so he can slide his legs. He puts his bum up but he does a 'frog' it looks like and slides his knees out to the sides. I took his trousers off to see if he'd crawl easier, but not yet.
He just wants to get moving, and he wants to walk too, as he's moving his feet forward when he stands and he bloody let's go of you and stands for a couple of seconds on his own, then lands on his bum :)
Loved his chocolate, and had some mini marshmallows yesterday, they confused him I think!
Did Joshua have any?

OP posts:
Iwish · 10/04/2012 20:04

I was only going to bf for 6mo but I can't stop, I love it too much. I think I'll carry on till he's 1yr. He only really has boob 7:30am, 2:30pm and 7:00pm which the occasional night feed and I'm guessing he will drop the 2:30 one by the time I go bk to work do I'll be able to do morning and night.

Joshuas 'girlfriend' does a similar thing. She's like a sniper and pulls herself with her arms. Makes me giggle. You should video him and put it on FB. Glad he liked his chocky and lol at the marshmallows. Why did they confuse him?
Joshua hasn't had chocky, going to keep him off if till he's about 1, he's already showing a strong favour to sweeter things like yoghurt.

Took my car in fit mot today and it bloody failed. Going to cost me £215!!

KLou111 · 10/04/2012 20:20

How bloody much, good god!!!
Marshmallows were squishy in his mouth, also just melted so quick, he didn't know where they'd gone :)
Euan only takes 2oz at 2.30 if anything. I didn't even bother giving it to him today.
He has 7oz in the morning, 2 on his cereal, and 7 at bed. He has 2 small yoghurts too in the day so getting milk there.
Will try and do a vid. X

OP posts:
Iwish · 10/04/2012 20:41

I know!! Nick thinks its my own fault for having a 'boy racer car'. Sooo I've been having a look for sensible cars on the Internet. Just need to persuade him to buy me one lol.

Yeh Joshua has 2 little yoghurts too. He absolutly loves them. In fact I was eating my own yoghurt and he wanted that too. I gave him a little bit but he cried when i finished it lol.

lizandlulu · 10/04/2012 21:14

Evening all

Wow Evan is growing up really quick!, violet has never pulled herself up! I haven't moved the cot down yet, she's still on the top level. She's rapid at moving on the living room floor, just not crawling, she just sort of rolls to where she wants to be. She's got the leg action ok, just not the arms. I am like you klou I don't know if I want her to crawl now or not!

I wish, shame his sleeping has gone downhill again, maybe it's just a growth spurt and might go back to sleeping through, heres hoping

A lad who works for us, his misses has just had her 6th baby tonight, crazy cray people. She's got the group b strep so has to be induced, but even then, once her contractions started, took only about 2 hours. Madness!

lizandlulu · 10/04/2012 21:15

Sorry, I mean Euan. His bloody iPad try's to predict words and put them in when you dont want them!

Iwish · 11/04/2012 09:41

Wow liz baby no 6!! Are they mad lol. Have you attempted any more homemade food for violet? Roast dinner went down a treat here.

Omfg. Joshua went to bed at 7:15 last night. Made a little noise at 5:00. Woke up at 6:00 for boob then slept til 8:50!! And he slept for about 3 1/2 hours yesterday daytime. Am v pleased with him today.
I've also noticed that when he's whinging/crying in the night he kind of says 'mamamamama' sounds like he's shouting me lol.
