Woooooohooooooooo! Bed at 7:20, feed at 10:30 and 3:30 then up at 7:30 AND NOT A PEEP IN BETWEEN!!!! I feel human Grin

lizandlulu · 21/03/2012 08:14

yeyyyyyy!!!!!!!!

Iwish · 21/03/2012 08:24

liz maybe try adding a bit of gravy to the savoury stuff you have to make it a bit different? What about giving her a square of sandwich? Or some pasta?

KLou111 · 21/03/2012 10:44

Woohoo iwish fantastic!!! What a great night.

Liz agree with the gravy, Euan loves it, also have you tried spaghetti bol? I did it for Euan for the first time last week, and he loves it!! Think it may be the tomato as it's a new flavour. But he does love casseroles too which I make with baby stocks :)

Well, am very proud this morning. Got Euan up from his nap, and as I was pulling his covers back, he sat up :o
I was actually quite shocked! Rob was in our bedroom, so I called him, lay Euan back down, put his teddy in front of him and did it again! (Obviously he has a pillow though so not totally flat)

Off to finish our bedroom, bit more painting. Swimming tomorrow, agent here fri for photos :)

I was so happy with his sleep klou although I did wake up a few times Hmm

Aaah well done Euan you clever boy!! He will be crawling before you know it!!

Tried Joshua with some mash this morning. He pulled some faces and coughed a little it he ate about 1 1/2 cubes. And he's just had done milk now.

lizandlulu · 21/03/2012 13:32

just wondering, when you think about the babies age. do you go by weeks or months? like, violet was born on 21ts july, so is she 8 months on 21st march, or 32 weeks?? cause it doesnt add up to meHmm

Iwish · 21/03/2012 14:48

I go by months now. I used to go by weeks until he was 6 months because 6 months is 26 weeks if you go by date but 6 months works out at 24 weeks. Joshua is 6 months, 26 weeks.

lizandlulu · 21/03/2012 15:58

right, so shes 8 months today!! is it bad that i only just realised its the 21stBlush

well shes been asleep for 2 hours this aft, i just went to wake her cause i thought that was long enough!! even managed to get my ironing done is peaceGrin

mums picked lulu up from school cause lulu said she missed her nanny and seeing her on a saturday is not enoughGrin so just waiting for a phone call ,then i am off out to see if i can get a new camera, mine is broken, then pick her upabout 5ish

KLou111 · 21/03/2012 16:00

I go by months, have done for about 3 months now. Couldn't tell you how many weeks Euan is, but he's 7 months, 8 days :)
Why'd you ask Liz?

Sick of friggin painting now!!!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 21/03/2012 16:02

just wondering, me and mum have disagreed about it for a while, and shes bloody right!!!!

have you seen this? like you would Grin

oh and shes started to chuck herself out of the blow up ring...tsk you think you can put her somewhere safe for 5 mins!!

Iwish · 21/03/2012 17:23

Awww bless her missing her nanny liz! Did you manage to get a new camera? Lol at the video.

Have you got a lot to paint klou?

Just given Joshua his tea. He had 2 big tablespoons of porridge (before I added the water) and a cube of peach purée. He absolutly loved it and demolished the lot. Then he had 1/2 a yoghurt. He's just having his milk now. What a good boy :)

lizandlulu · 21/03/2012 21:13

wow iwish hes making wonderful progress!! it took violet a good 2 weeks to get hte hang of what she was supposed t do with the spoon!

she slept for 2 hours this afternoon!!gave me a chance to do the ironing in peace, the pile was overtaking the dinner table (not as bad as you tho klou)Wink

yes got a camera, £60, plus £12 for an extra cover, i dont usually get cover with electricals, but with this, in 3 years, if i break it in any way i can just go and get a new one!! (must remember in march 2015 to drop itGrin

Iwish · 22/03/2012 11:33

He's doing really well liz. He's just had 2 cubes of mashed potato, 1 cube of carrot and a full yoghurt for his lunch then his milk!!ol you should put a reminder somewhere to break the camera Grin
How was your poo explosion? Did it ruin her clothes? Joshua's are soaking in the sink.

He slept ok last night too. Bed at 7:20. Milk at 12:20 and 5:15 then up for the day at 8:05. He did have a cry at 2:00 but went back to sleep after 15 mins.

Had him weighed today and he has lost 1oz in 3 weeks. Hv wasn't concerned tho.

lizandlulu · 22/03/2012 19:23

no the pooh was so pale, i think it will jsut wash out. i am a little concerned about her, since the pooh this morning shes been ok all day, happy as larry, then tonight, gave her tea and 30 mins later brought it all back up, then gave her bedtime bottle and that came straight back up too, so shes gone to bed on an empty tummySad but is pale pooh normal?? shes had 3 pooh explosions in the day too, leaked all 3 timesSad but still happy so wasnt worried.

oh and have written on the calender what date the camera cover runs outGrin

Iwish · 22/03/2012 21:34

Poor little poppet. Maybe see what she's overnight and if you are still worried call the doc. I'm not sure about poos. Joshua has had allsorts, brown, yellow, green. Maybe she just has a little tummy upset. I thought it could be her teeth with her having poo explosions but being sick makes me think tummy upset.

Just made Joshua some chicken dinner purée. Hoping he will like it :)

MadKatz · 22/03/2012 21:51

Evening Ladies,

Sorry....again :-( I just don't know where the time goes lately. Have been organising Sophie's baby naming celebration party which is a week on Sunday as well as doing cards and jewellery to sell.

Hope you're all well. Sophie's been poorly for 11 days now, started with constipation and now the opposite - sickness & diarrhoea :-(

x

Iwish · 24/03/2012 10:36

Hey madkatz welcome back. Poor Sophie feeling ill, hope she's better soon. And hope you enjoy the naming ceremony.

Well Joshua slept well again last night. In bed at 7:30, milk at 12:00 and 4:30 then up at 8:10. AND NO RANDOM SCREAMING IN BETWEEN!! Woohoo!!
It's his christening tomorrow so just making sure everything is sorted. Eek!!

How is everyone else?

KLou111 · 25/03/2012 13:27

Hi all, sorry not been on for a couple if days. Our internet has been very random, and for some reason would only work on the apps on my phone, not the actual net. Back on now :)

Hope you have Ab absolutely fantastic day iwish, the weather is perfect for it!!!
So glad Joshua starting to sleep better, I wonder if it is his food?

How's violet now Liz? Is she feeling better? Have you been using your new camera??

Great to hear from you madkatz. Hope Sophie gets well very soon. Do you know what's caused it? Enjoy your planning :)

Well, all good here. Euans 2nd tooth has finally cut, and he has been waking a few times, but not crying. We don't know if it's his tooth or what!
Got the in laws coming tomorrow til thurs, boy have they picked a good week weather wise!! Hope Euan sleeps better while they're here.

Had our first bbq last night, and felt pissed as a fart! Rob kept topping my glass of cider up lol. Not really used to drinking a lot, but I wasn't ill with it as I stopped drinking in the end.
Anyway, off to enjoy the sun, and Rob going to light the bbq in about an hour. Have a good one all, and iwish lots of piccies please :o

not really been using the camera too much, apart from did manage to take pics of all the stuff i ebayed. i am really suprised at how good it is for £60. hardly any delay from the moment you press the button to it actually taking the photo, which is what i wanted.

madkatz hope shes better soon, everyone seems to have something at the min.

and stil lno sing of teeth, or crawling!

Iwish · 26/03/2012 19:14

Hi ladies.

We had the most lovely day yesterday. The sun was shining, the service was lovely, the do was lovely and Joshua was an absolute angel. He didn't cry all day.
And he sat up on his own for the very first time today for about a minute before he fell over. V proud!!

Is this too much? He's just had 3 massive spoons of porridge before I added the water with 2 cubes of apple mixed in then he had 3 cubes of pear for afters!! But didn't have milk after like he usually does. Is that ok? We are in week 2 of weaning.

Did you enjoy your BBQ klou? How's Euan?

Glad Violet is feeling better liz is she back to normal today? Have you been out in the sunshine?

MadKatz · 27/03/2012 22:08

Glad you had a nice day yesterday Iwish

Sophie is getting better slowly. We had checkup at the docs today who confirmed her urine sample results showed an infection so she's antibiotics for 7 days. Anyone had to take a urine sample from their baby before? -- What a faff!!!

Pretty much organised for Sophies celebration party on Sunday, only a couple more bits to do. Was going to do them today but had a bombshell dropped on us - letter arrived from letting agency saying our rent is going up by £40 a month and they want £125 to renew our contract!! We can't afford this so panicking at the mo as we don't know what we're going to do. Going to see the housing association people tomorrow to see if they can give us any help. Trying to stay positive but its hard. Just looking forward to Sunday and don't want anything to spoil it.

Iwish · 28/03/2012 08:30

Poor Sophie madkatz. And how the hell do you get a baby urine sam

Iwish · 28/03/2012 08:34

Poor Sophie madkatz. And how the hell do you get a baby urine sample?? That's awful of them putting your rent up then asking you to pay money a new contract?! Like you said dont let it ruin Sophie's day. Bet her do will be lovely.

Went to my friends yesterday and our babies played in the paddling pool lol. They loved it!

MadKatz · 28/03/2012 21:56

The nurse gave us a kit which consists of 2 pads (they look like small sanitary pads) a syringe and a urine sample bottle.
You have to put a pad in her nappy first thing in the morning and check every ten minutes to see if she's wee'd. If she's pooed we had to throw away the pad and start again - thank god she wee'd first time!! You then have to hold the syringe at a 45 degree angle and embed the end in the wet pad and syringe off wee and put it in the sample pot. The instructions said for a baby, you may have to syringe off up to 8 times to get enough of a sample. Half and hour later and god knows how many times I'd syringed the pad, I had 1/3 of the sample bottle full Hmm

We saw a housing and homeless officer at the council today. He took one look at the paperwork and couldn't believe what they were proposing to do. He phoned them but didn't get anywhere. He's told us to sit tight and do nothing at the moment. If we don't accept the new terms we're basically agreeing to give notice and voluntarily making ourselves homeless which means the council can't help us. And we can't afford to pay it. So he said just do nothing and see what they do/say. It may be they back track and if they do serve us 2 months notice, it will push us up the list with the council. Concerned about doing this but we don't really have an option at the mo. Going to try and put it behind us now until after the weekend so we can enjoy seeing friends and family and Sophie's do.
