I tried adding banana but that didn't make any difference. Just feeding him now, tried giving him a bit of yoghurt just before but he just wanted boob. Will try again tomorrow am.

Bloody hell that was a good sleep!! Joshua's sleep was crap. And he was up at 5:50 for a feed then didn't go back to sleep. He was crying from 12:30 till 2:35 (with a few 10 mins sleeps in between) when nick brought him in our bed. I was shattered so at 8:45 nick took him downstairs and I went to bed till 9:50.
We just went out to the shops. Got to the first shop and took Joshua out of the car. He had done an explosive poo that had come out his nappy, ruined his vest and soaked through his jeans!!! We had a spare vest and a sleepsuit but the sleepsuit was 0-3 so too small haha!! Had to just put it in his legs as normal and put his tshirt and cardi back on which luckily didn't have poo on. Delightful child!!

Hey liz! Crap that it rained! Did it rain every day? How was your mummies day?

He quite often does big explosive poos lol. He did it again today and ruined a nice pair of dungarees and a top.

Tried Joshua with some food today and still didn't want it. Tried before his feed so he was hungry but he didn't want it. Tried rice again and some yoghurt. He will happily drink water out of a sippy cup tho lol. We have pear purée and porridge for tomorrow.

Can you help.... Joshua's current milk times are below. What time would you do his meals. Just 2 for now. Brekkie and tea.

7:30
10:30
1:30
4:30
7:00

Oh and mil is a cock. Joshua was sick (as usual) and I gave her a muslin to clean him up, a bit went on the floor so nick went and got her tissue to clean the floor. A bit later he was sick again and she cleaned him up and when she thought I wasn't looking she cleaned the floor with the muslin!!! She then kept hold of it and would have used it again on my poor boys face but I took it off her and said I'll take this because you can't use it to clean him now. Aaaargh!!!

Am at the end of my tether!! he will sleep happily 7:30 till 10:30 ish has a feed then sleeps maybe 2 hours but then screams and screams for hours until I bring him in our bed. Last night he fed at 11:50 instead of 10:30 but was then up screaming from 2:30 till 4:00 when I fed him just to make him sleep. Put him in bed at 4:30 and he was screaming at 5:30 so I had to bring him into put bed and he slept till 7:35. :( please just shoot me now :(

BANG>>>>>
Bet you're feeling awful iwish hope youre ok though.
With food, i think I used to do after Euans 11am feed, so your 10.30, and bedtime after his last feed. Just keep at the morning one, he will get there. Just a thought, are you feeding him in the high chair?. I started Euan on my lap, then bouncy chair after a couple of weeks, then eventually his high chair. Might be worth trying to sit him somewhere different.

Sorry it rained Liz, hope you tried to have fun anyway. Weird how different the weather is everwhere, it has been lovely here.

Had a lovely day yesterday. Went for a lively walk in the morning, then went or lunch by the river, was gorgeous weather, Euan wad good as gold. He had his first taste of milky bar, i had ran out of buscotti things, and the shop didn't have any so bought him that, he loved it obviously. Only had a bit though.
Been out again today too, been a lovely weekend :)

Thanks klou he ate all his pear this morning Grin. He had it at 11:30 because he fell asleep. I tried his tea at 5:20 (a bit behind after his morning nap) anf he would eat rice or porridge. He falls asleep at his last feed so no chance of giving it to him then. I have been feeding him first like the gona ford book says but he must be too full afterwards. Even if I stop him feeding rather than letting him unlatch.
Yeh he sits in his hight chair, he loves it in there. I tried him with a yoghurt on my knee after he refused his baby rice and porridge but wasn't interested. Just had a bit more boob.

Awww sounds like you had a fab day yesterday. And bet Euan loved his chocky!

What does Euan usually have for brekkie, lunch and tea?

Yeh mil is an arse wipe!

Poor littke poppet has had the cough for ages hasnt she liz hope it gets better soon and she sleeps a bit better.
Most of the time he goes back to sleep but wakes a hour later. So I've had about half a hour sleep by the time he wakes up. It's driving me crazy.
Yeh I might try 5:30. I did try a hour after his feed on Saturday but he wouldn't take it then. I'll just keep trying.
How was your mothers day?

was it mothers day???? only jokingGrin i got 2 homemade cards, lulu did one at school and violet did one (or had one doen for her!) from nursery, then got 2 bought cards and a cupcake shape money box that said special mum on it. and that was that.

Lol liz Awww I can't wait for homemade cards. I got a card, mug and some retro sweeties (I love sweeties). Spent the whole day running around to our parents houses tho so didn't really have my own mothers day. Just a mothers half a hour I had lol.

Joshua was a shit again last night. He just cries and cries. All he wants is me to cuddle him. If I take him to our bed he falls asleep strait away and sleeps for hours. I don't sleep properly with him in our bed so last night I just kept goin to him every so often to reassure him but the first time he screamed for 1 hour 30 mins and the second time he screamed 1 hour 10 mins. I'm shattered again.

Joshua just polished off 2 cubes of pear and almost half a yoghurt Shock that was after his milk. Not all of his milk tho.

That's a lot of crying iwish :( bet you're all shattered.
Glad he ate his food ok :)

Well, after reading your comments about the poos yesterday, I was puzzled as to whether it may have been the nappies failing as I've never had it. Li and behold, I was cleaning the bathroom, Rob came up with Euan saying he stank, took off his trousers, and lo and behold poo everywhere!! Just glad it wasn't me :o

It is a lot of crying klou! He just wants to be with me all the time. I felt awful letting him cry but I have to stop him from needing me overnight!

Haha at the poo!! Grin It's awful isn't it. Hopefully when his poos go a bit more solid we will have less leaks. BF poos are v v runny lol.
How did rob get on with it? Nick leaves it to me.

Let's hope he eats his tea tonight. Not managed tea yet as he keeps refusing it. I don't know what to do for the best. Milk then food or food then milk. He won't take a lot of milk if I give him food 1st tho... I'm thinking of doing it an hour after milk like liz said.

It's nice and sunny here today. Shame I can't go out, waiting for a parcel.

iwish is it your milk he wants to be near? i would presevere with going to him tho, you cant have him in your bed if you can sleep with him there.

lulu used to come in our bed once we put her in her own proper bed and i used to let her stay, took years to get her out of it!

and its not just bf babies that have runny poohs! violets have always been runny and very yellow!

and i have been thinking about swimming cossies with swim nappies in! i took one at the weekend for the baby, brand new and when it coems to putting it on, i thought, what if she poohs in it, how would i get it off without getting it everywhere and ruining the costume? what a bad invention! so need to get one without the swim nappy part in it

Report
Iwish · 20/03/2012 19:45

I'm not sure liz. He doesn't settle with nick so it could be. He sometimes crys now when nick has him and I leave the room. Hmmph.
It's lovely that he likes to sleep with me but I'm just on edge all night scared that one of us will squish him.

Yeh it is a stupid invention stitching the swim Nappy in. Joshua wore a disposable nappy then a reusable nappy then his all in one lol.
I wonder if the nappies will contain a runny poo....

Joshua had a bit of porridge tonight. Not much tho, he kept pulling at my top for boob instead haha. Think he had about 2 baby spoonfuls. Better than nothing I suppose.

violet isnt doing well with her savoury food at the mo, since being poorley she still isnt back to eating how she was, and it totally off her savoury. the only thing she will definatly eat is a cow and gate jar of orchard chicken. i have tried loads of other stuff, but she takes one spoon then spits it back out.
i want to try savoury finger food but am at a blank as to what to try. i give her toast but hardlly any goes down, most of it just gets dropped on the flor and she loses interest in it.
