I put suncream on Euan on hols and all fine, he was 14 weeks then (if you mean age) of if it's hot and sunny and they're out I'd put it on just to be safe :)

Thanks klou i will have 2 go and buy some.
Been to my friends today for a few hours, Joshie loves her daughter (she is 3 months older than Joshua). He sits there smiling at her and talking to her but she just looks at him lol.

Joshua slept rubbish-ish last night, went to bed at 7:30 up at 10:30 For a Feed then up crying at 2 o'clock resulting in him coming in with me again. Up at 5:15 for a feed then up at 7:45

lizandlulu · 13/03/2012 19:54

evening all, chris is back, at least i got a good prezzieSmile

i ahve been offered to go to benidorm in july with some friends, (i only really know 2 of about 12 going) but am very very tempted to go. my mum thinks it is terrible that i 'keep wanting to leave my kids all the time'
er cant actually remember the last time i went anywhere with out at least one of htem, apart from evenings!

Iwish · 13/03/2012 20:35

What prezzie did u get liz?
Oooh holiday!! Ive not had one of those for 3 years lol. would be nice to have a holiday Grin how long is it for?
Leaving the kids all the time? You've not been anywhere have you?!

Well we havnt done anything today. Up at 7:50 and at 11:10 Joshua was tired so I wrapped him in his blanket and we cuddled up on the sofa. 1:50 he woke up and I slept for a hour or so too!! Then we went for a walk about 3:00.

lizandlulu · 13/03/2012 20:43

he bought me a swarovski crystal teddy trinket with a pink love heart on it, only tiny but very pretty. i collect it (alonmg with a whole load of other stuff i am convinced will be worth a fortune one dayGrin)

no, apart from eurodisney, where i took lulu and left viole,t i havent been anywhere at all. evening out with friends 3 weeks ago and cinema last week, and again tomorrow night, but the kids were in bed then! i was TALKING about going to london with my best mate for the night, but thats not happening now.

i just think it wold be nice to get away and totally relax, its not like its forl ong, or that i go away all the time!! its alright for chris to go away when he doesnt see much of the kids anyway, but i want to go, and i spend ALL my ime with them, and its wrong.

to be fair she doesnt think its right that chris went, but if i dont mind, i dont see why she shouldHmm

lizandlulu · 13/03/2012 20:44

joshua slept for 2 and a half hours!!!!!! lucky sodGrin

Iwish · 13/03/2012 20:55

Awww that's a lovely prezzie! Swarovski do some lovely stuff.

I think you should go for it if you want to! You need a break sometimes and you can totally relax if you are child free. Like you said chris has his breaks and so should you!

I love his long sleeps! He wouldn't sleep as long if he wasn't cuddled up to me tho but at least I get a sleep too Grin

lizandlulu · 13/03/2012 21:15

i was on about arranging a wekend away with my mate and she was well up for it, then this other set of friends said they were already booked to go n july and we were welcome to go with them, now shes saying she cant afford it. i dont know if its cause its with people she doesnt really know. the more the merrier for meSmile but then i feel bad going if she doesnt go.

violet has been up in the night for a bottle for hte last 2 nights. shes stil lnot 100% bac to normal with her food, so putting it down to that, just hope it doesnt last longSad

oh and chris has got the sickness and diahorrea bug that everyone seems to have. touch wood, me and lulu havent got it. yet.

KLou111 · 14/03/2012 09:45

Morning all :)
Sounds lovely your pressie Liz bloody hell what's wrong with him lol?!
If you want to go away, I'd go! You're still human afterall! That's one of the reasons we want to go back to the midlands do we can have some 'time out' so to speak. Go have fun with your friends!!

Bloody dying for a holiday. Our house has been put back again to next try for photos, going up for definite the following week. Next doors house having the finishing render put on this week, so hopefully scaffold down next week. Also our grass is really starting to grow now, so fingers crossed next week it's really come out.
We've said if our house goes quick, we will go back to the midlands, look at dome houses, dump the dogs, and go on hols, so hopefully.....!!

How's Joshua been overnight then iwish any more sleep throughs??

Well, bit ashamed of myself. Euan still not into his milk, now refusing custard (smart kid knows exactly what I'm doing lol!) Anyway refused blank his bottle yestrday afternoon, so in sheer desperation, I put some nesquik in it Blush and the little bugger drank the lot!!! Now I don't know what to do, as I know he will have it, it's so tempting to keep doing it, but its so bad for him!! I need to get some more formula tomorrow, so I may get a different one. God I'm bad!!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 14/03/2012 12:32

how much did you put in? look at the label, is it really that bad for him? surely if hes only having a traspoon full or so its not that bad? or maybe it is ifs its more than once a day. wonder why hes so off milk? little monkey.

how was last night iwish my vi was up at 12, yet again, and only settled with bottle. i can see thiss becoming a problemSad

chris back to his mardy self. what a suprise

KLou111 · 14/03/2012 14:46

I put a scoop in a 7oz bottle. But have just made one with 1/2 scoop, so will see if he takes it. It's just the sugar that seems to just stand out to me, but I suppose there is sugar in his yoghurts too.
Going to change his milk tomorrow.

Have you tried water instead Liz?
What's wrong with chris?

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 14/03/2012 14:53

no i havent tried giving her water. dont have the heart for it yet as shes still not back to normal yet, shes mardy again today, just not herself, so will just keep hopping its not going to last.

what milk are you changing to? babies have juice too, there must be sugar in that? compare it with juice

i think both me and chris might be on PMT week! i was having a go at him last night, turned out wasnt his fault, never mind.

we are going away in the caravan this weekend although think chris is going to take us fri after work, him comeing back to go to work sat then coming back after work, we arent going far and going with 3 other couples with kids so should be fun. just cleaned out the caravan found SOMETHING in the fridge. seeing as we havent used it since last september, im not too sure what it was. i THINK it might have been some carrots and salad, but soemthing else in a veg bag that i could tell what it was!! needless to say i have jad to scrub the fridge out and put a freshner in itBlush

honest to godi am not safe to be let loose on my ownGrin

KLou111 · 14/03/2012 15:52

I'm not sure which to change to. He's on c&g, and has been since he started formula. I threw the aptamil I had away (the very first tub of formula). May have a look online.
He took the half scoop so that's better.
And eww eww eww at the something in the fridge!!! But sounds a fun weekend :)

OP posts:
Iwish · 14/03/2012 20:07

You could try hipp organic klou I've heard that's ok. And I'm sure the small amount in there will be ok. Imagine what our parents fed us when we were tiny and we are ok.

Lol at the food in the fridge liz!! That's gross. poor violet, hopefully she will take more in the day again so she won't wake for it at night.

Joshua slept a bit better last night. Bed at 7:30, milk at 11:30. Small cry at 1:30 ish. Milk at 4:00 and I fell asleep while feeding so he stayed in our bed haha. (I feed lying down in bed) I put him in his bed at 7:00 and he got up at 7:45.

I'm trying to motivate myself to express some milk so that I have enough for his rice this weekend. I CAN'T BE ARSED!!

KLou111 · 14/03/2012 20:33

Lol iwish do you leak the one side when you are feeding on the other. If you do (I did loads!), catch it with some breast shells, and you won't have to pump :)

Ill have a look at the hipp, thanks for that. I had a carton of pre made and gave him that tonight to see if it was a dodgy box, and was just the same, put a bit of nesquik in, gone! Getting a water filter aswell though tomorrow I think.

OP posts:
Iwish · 14/03/2012 20:48

I'm not sure if I do klou. I' never notice. I'm thinking about using full fat cows milk instead. Using formula is pointless because I'd waste more than I'd use I think.
It sounds like Euan doesn't like the taste of the milk doesn't it. Maybe a change of brand is a good idea, might taste different.

KLou111 · 14/03/2012 21:24

Do you mean cooked in sauces and stuff?
I use just normal milk for cooking. I didn't think you could use it 'uncooked' though ie in cereal etc til they were 1. Don't quote me on it though, as I just use formula as I have it. Just assumed couldn't use milk.

Have got to make the next batch of Euans food over the next couple of days. Can't believe it's come around already!! I think I made 5+ weeks worth last time.
He's been having what we have the night before too, but totally out, so need to make some.

OP posts:
Iwish · 15/03/2012 10:01

No aparently it's ok to use in baby rice too. I presume i wpuld just heat it up and add to the rice. I've just expressed 3oz (woohoo) ahead of the weaning on Saturday. Only took a few mins off the side he just fed off Grin think I will just do that every morning and see how I get on.

Going to a friends today. What is everyone else doing? Joshua is currently sleeping do I'm getting ready and doing my hair etc

KLou111 · 15/03/2012 19:17

That's good then iwish, saves you getting some formula. Glad you managed to express some :)
Hope you had fun at your friends.

Had a busy day today. Been swimming, shopping, had the most gorgeous thick hot chocolate, with cream, marshmallows, and a flake :)
Going to the next swimming class from next week now Euan is bigger and more confident. Also there was about 20 of us today!!
Went to get Euan the hipp follow on, and Tesco was out as it was on offer. Bought some premix of it instead to see how he gets on. It tastes creamier, and he drank it ok, so we'll see :)

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 15/03/2012 19:57

i didnt think you could give them cows milk til lthey were 1 either. i checked last week, just cant remember what i checked it onHmm double check iwish

klou good news on the swimming, sounds like he enjoys it!

i am on a strict diet , since monday i have lost 3lb!! not that i keep checkingBlush but have decided to go to benidorm in july with some girls and they are all slim, well smaller than me anyway, so got a goal of 2 stone off before i go.

KLou111 · 15/03/2012 20:46

Well done on your diet Liz! You go girl!!
I have so got to diet, I am heavier than after I'd had Euan!! I don't feel fat, just heavy. Really need to kick my arse into gear. Got a wedding September, so will aim for that (unless we go on hol before!)

OP posts:
KLou111 · 16/03/2012 19:40

Well, I think tooth number 2 is on its way, ugh. Been a bit grumpy today and cryey too, which is odd, red cheeks, so had a look, and can see something next to the first tooth but not quite cut. Bloody first one still only just above his gum.

What you up to this weekend?
Off out in the morning to get a few bits, then back for the rugby, then f1 and rugby Sunday too, so not a lot going on here.
Oh, the in laws coming week on Monday, normally stay 2 nights, but they said would stay til thurs, as one night they want me and Rob to go out and they'll babysit, RESULT!!!!

OP posts:
Iwish · 17/03/2012 11:38

Morning all!!

Well done on your diet liz! I will be dieting as soon as finished BFing.

Aww klou poor Euan. Must be horrid when the teeth start poking through.

Just tried Joshie with baby rice - fail!! He wouldn't take it. He had his milk 1 hour before so thought he would take some and he wouldn't touch it.

KLou111 · 17/03/2012 15:32

Just keep with it iwish, he'll soon get the hang of it. Might be worth mixing a small bit of fruit in to flavour it a bit.

Well, had a faaabulous sleep last night. Was expecting to be up due to Euans tooth, but he stirred at 6.45, then I had to wake him at 9!! He was flat out!
Back on the milk too, so that may have helped him sleep longer perhaps (and I haven't had to flavour it either). Bought 4 boxes of hipp today, as they were on offer and the last ones on the shelf.
Got some free chocs in town in a guess the hamper value competition for mothers day :)
Sun is shining too, which is lovely.

KLou111 · 17/03/2012 15:34

Oh, and Rob gave Euan a bottle about half hour ago, Euan grabbed it off Rob and did the last bit himself!
