How are we all today, looking forward to another week :)
Well, had a feel and still can't feel the tooth! Will have another looksie when the little fella wakes from his nap. Currently have dye on my hair lol. The flaming blonde that I coloured it with before I had Euey keeps coming back through when I put my normal colour on top. Doing me flaming nut in, so I've bought a different one, hope my hair doesn't go green!! Looks ok so far.......

OP posts:
KLou111 · 05/03/2012 13:21

Well I didn't go green lol, but the bottom half is an ashier colour than the top (it was slightly blonder at the bottom) got it up, read on the net should be ok after a few washes. Doesn't look TOO bad though.
Anyway, had a little feel in Euans mouth before lunch, and can feel his tooth slightly :) He was being a fussy bugger at lunch, and wouldn't eat his mac cheese, but had some cheese on toast. Must've wanted something hard. Gave him a bit of rusk too, and he had that and a yoghurt.

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 05/03/2012 18:42

evening all, did you all have nice weekends?

klou i would imagine that euan has all the nutrients he needs from your cooking, he eats alot of different foods doesnt he, and the yoghurt had calcium, so i wouldnt be too owrried aobut it, if he didnt eat alot, or only a few foods (like violet) then yes i would be concerned, but he loves it doesnt he.

well violets been abit poorley since saturday. she was sick at dinnertime saturday, thne tea time, but was ok if abit mardy yesterday. she wouldnt be put down and had to play iwht her and hold her all afternoon.
when i went to her this morning she had been sick in the night but i mustnt have heard, and she ahd it all round her neck and headSad it must have come up when she coughed, cause i heard her coughing, but not being sick.

but she seemed happy enough so took her to nursery where she was fine till the afternoon when she was sick all over the carer.

shes also started to gag on savoury food, not sweet thoHmm i gave her a jar of sweet and half a rusk for her tea, just to get something nto her as she hadnt been interested in her dinner, and shes had a bottle and gone to sleep ok, but still keeps coughing.

hope shes over it tomorrow

KLou111 · 05/03/2012 21:24

Oh no poor violet Liz :( poor little thing. Is it still from the chest infection she had a couple of weeks ago? Hope she's ok very soon x

Yes, Euans still loving his food, even though he has been fussy today.
I used the doidy cup today and seemed to prefer it even though a lot got spilt.
I made him a banana 'milkshake' this evening with 1/2 a banana and his milk in the blender, and gave him that in the doidy, and he loved it! Got the milk in lol!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 05/03/2012 21:55

no i dont think its from the chest infection, she seemed to get htat all cleared up. there is alot of bugs going about, i think its a bug, everyone i know has something!!

what a good idea about hte milkshake!!i would have never thought of that!!

KLou111 · 05/03/2012 22:18

Has she got it from nursery?

I was going to make one with yoghurt to get the flavour, but he already had 2 today!
Looked nice actually, bit thick for his bottle, but ok for his sippy cup, but he wasn't interested in that, just the doidy.

Aaaargh what the hell has happened to my immune system??!! Not had a cough, cold or sickness for years until after I had Joshua and I've been ill about 4 times in the past couple of months. I've been up throwing up in the middle of the night and can't keep off the loo now. I feel so sick and my tummy is really sore.

Poor violet liz! Bet she has got it from nursery. Strange that she gags on savoury food but now sweet.

Good idea with the milkshake klou. I wouldn't have even thought of it. Bet it was a nice new taste for him.

lizandlulu · 06/03/2012 21:59

do you feel any better iwish? i hate being sick, really really hate it , i sit any cry sat in front of the toiletSad i hope you are feeling better now. maybe you should take something to strenghten your immune system? i have a syrup called sambucol which is a black elderberry extract (i think) and take one spoon a day. and its quite nice too. its a tenner from halland and barret, but seems to work. apart from a slight cough i haveGrin

Iwish · 07/03/2012 11:23

Hey liz I feel better thanks. Tummy is still a bit funny but no sick etc now. I hate being sick too. It really scares me. And am the same - sat there crying in front of the toilet :(
I'm going shopping with my mum on Friday so might go in there. I'm fed up of getting everything. Do t know how I get it all as I rarely see people lol.
How are you? Do you think you got your cough off violet?

Monday night Joshua was really good. Bed at 7:30, up at 1:30 for milk then didn't get up till 7:10 for milk!! He must have known I was sick. OR luring me into a false sense of security because last night was crap. Bed at 7:30, whinging at 11:50, up at 1:00 for milk, whinging at 3:30, whinging at 5:15 and wouldn't settle so brought him in with us to feed him. He fell asleep strait away but woke crying at 7:20 until I cuddled him then wanted more milk at 8:35. SHATTERED.

KLou111 · 07/03/2012 13:18

Hiya! Sorry, bil here yesterday so didn't really get a chance to write :)
He was in Wales with work, so stopped here yesterday, and overnight, was nice to see him.

Sorry you're feeling shite iwish not nice :( I hate being ill. Have you been ok feeding Joshua or have you been able to express some so nick can help?
Great night for Joshua the other night, just a shame he won't do it all the time!!

How are you feeling Liz? Hope you're ok, and violet.

All ok here. Euan sleeping fine, but now he won't eat, really frustrating!! He's gone like violet Liz, sweet stuff, fine, savoury, a struggle!! Was determined he wasn't going to have a sweet tooth!!
He will have his morning bottle, fine, when a bottle goes near him in the day, he throws his head back, pushes it away and starts to get all upset. I tried the milkshake again, not interested. He will drink juice fine, as soon as its milk, spits it out!

I spoke to my mum this morning as they're off on their hols this aft, and asked her opinion. She said it could be just a phase so she wouldn't worry, but if it goes on, call the hv or something.
I'm hoping it's just his tooth. It's very strange! I started getting concerned he was going to wake hungry (very selfish I know), as I haven't fed him past 6.30 since before Xmas, but mum said he should be out of that habit now it's been so long that he has fed overnight.

It's just really worrying that he isn't getting enough of everything. I think he's having about 8-10oz, plus yoghurts etc. He's still his happy self though :)

Off to plant my hanging baskets, have a good afternoon all x

OP posts:
Iwish · 07/03/2012 15:01

Yeh feeding is fine - that's when he's quiet lol! I do ever express because I'm lazy lol and it's quicker/easier feeding him myself Grin

Poor Euan. Isn't it strange he's going off things. I bet it is his teeth and maybe some things affect it more than others.

Enjoy doing your hanging baskets :)

Iwish · 08/03/2012 16:06

Would love to go to bed right now. Had 2 hours sleep last night :(. Am shattered and currently keeping myself alive on caffiene. Coke and chocolate lol.

In better news; our rings have been made and nick is collecting them tonight Grin

KLou111 · 08/03/2012 17:49

That was quick with the rings iwish, very exciting!!!
Bleugh on the sleep!

Well Euan's back on the food, phew! Was starting to get very worried! Still off the milk though so bought a tub of custard powder today and made some with his formula, which he's had fine.
Can really feel his tooth now, it's taking ages. Still only one.

Been out to water babies today, was really good, and packed! Teacher said it's been worse over the last couple of weeks. The guy that Rob usually sits with waiting for us wasn't there, but turned up just before we left, he was saying they came 2 weeks ago, and got bounced to the next class for 1-2 year olds because there were so many! So they've stayed doing that one as only 4 or 5 people in that class versus about 12 in the other one. It's the same teacher.

Just sitting watching a bit of tom and jerry :)

OP posts:
Iwish · 08/03/2012 20:52

Well nick got there and it's only 1 ring :(. It's mine tho so all is good hehe :)
He had better bloody sleep today, I havnt been so tired for a long time.
I'd love to go to a water babies class because it's a proper class isn't it?
How did u get on with your hanging baskets?

liz how are you?

I'm gong to bed at 9:00, can't keep my little eyes open much longer. Going shopping tomorrow with my mum to get some new shoes for the christening and some kind of jacket or cardigan.

Iwish · 09/03/2012 17:36

Yet another shit night. Got 5 hours (broken) sleep tho. 7 hours in 2 days, woo :(

I went shopping with my mum and got a cardigan type thing for over my dress for Joshua's christening and a pair of shoes. And my mum bought me a dress Grin

lizandlulu · 09/03/2012 19:07

evening all,

whens the ciristening iwish ? sorry if you have alreadt said!

klou i know exactly what you mean about being selfish not feeding them in the night. i took violet to the docs with her bad chest again and the said its not what she had before and nothing they can give her for it, so she cough cough cough at night and has been waking herself up coughing, then deciding shes hungry and crying till she gets fed, not alot, about 2-3 ounces, then back to sleep. its happened the last 2 nights and really dont want to become a habit Sad

she has been quite ill this week, really not hrself, shes been off her milk and food so thought that is why shes hungry at night so not alot i can do about it, i cant force her to eat. yesterday i had to give her some calpol and she just laid in the sofa sucking her thumb on her side watching micket mouse

shes seemed better today and took her to nursery where shes been fine, but still off food. i would have had the day off work, but chris has gone to benidorm on a stag doo so dad would have really struggled on his own, and mums ill tooSad

all of this is cause mil took violet to their house when we was in eurodisneyAngry

Iwish · 10/03/2012 19:35

Hey liz the christening is on 25th of this month. Got a small problem tho, his outfit is 6-9 months and is a little big. Will need a couple of inches off his trousers and a bit off the sleeves of his shirt. Don't know how we will manage the shirt lol.
MILs just don't listen do they??!! My mil does my fookin head in!!
How is violet today? He's she eaten a bit more today?

How are you klou?

Crappy sleep yet again! He just wants me to go in and hold his hand while he sleeps! Wtf??!!
Gave him a rusk to suck on tonight and he seemed to like it, got upset when he dropped it lol. Although he was hungry as he was due his milk. He's in bed now, he went up at 7:10!

KLou111 · 10/03/2012 20:19

Evening!! Sorry, I haven't been able to get on, kept bloody saying try in a few minutes!

Oh Liz poor little violet :( has she got something for at least her cough? I really hope she gets better soon. Your flaming mil was bang out of order, I hope you have dropped hints thats she's contributed to violet being ill!!
I actually get on with my mil tbh, think I'm the daughter she never had lol!

Sort your baby out iwish or I will send Euan round!!
No seriously, he sounds like he's started his clingy stage! Euan is the same, but because me and Rob are both around equally, he has us both to choose from. Funny, as I actually had that.conversation with Rob this afternoon!
Are you getting excited about the christening? Can you fold the sleeves of the shirt?
When are you planning to start his food?

Had a very scary incident this afternoon. Gave Euan a biscuit in his high chair, we were all at the table, and Euan all of a sudden went bright red and looking at me stressed, he wasn't breathing! I had to lean him forward and smack his back, and he sicked up his biscuit. We were in total shock, and it really scared us. Euan was fine after a drink. Made you realise why they say you shouldn't leave them when they eat. Made us feel ill tbh.
He's been ok since.
Still off his milk, but enjoying his custard :)

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 10/03/2012 21:42

god klou i bet oyu was bloody terrified!! touch wood nothing had happened like that to us, lulu never chocced either, but its agood job cause i am useless in a crisis! i am the sort of person who stands there flapping rather than doing something (not that i would if it was my own child, but you know what i mean!)
violet does a slight chocking thing every now and again, but she always is only making outHmm not really sure whats going on there, she does it on lumpy foos sometimes, or just when shes had enough food full stop.

shes alot better than she was, quite happy this morning, smiling and chuckling like usual, but then dad rang to say he wasnt going to work as hes got a sickness bug, can i go? so mum came round to have kids while i went to work till 3, so i went, and mum rang to say after abiout an hour that she was crying and hadnt realy stopped since i went, shed had calpol but had no effect. she walked her to the yard and i fed her, then she was ok. i wonder if she wasj ust missing me?
she slept from 6pm to 7am this morning with not a peep inbetween, thank god!

iwish is there no way you could exchange the outfit for the smaler size? altering it sounds difficult

Iwish · 11/03/2012 13:20

He is being clingy klou he screams the second I walk out the room unless nick is with him.
god that sounds scary! poor Euan. I wouldn't know what to do if Joshua was choking. How was he last night.
We will properly start him next weekend. Nick wants to help so waiting till weekend. He will be 6 months then.

Can't really send it back liz. We got it off eBay (a shop) but we got it about 2 months ago.um is good at that sort of thing tho.
It does sound like she missed you. Sounds like a bit of separation anxiety. Poor little madam.

Joshua ended up in our bed again last night. He woke up at 11:50 for milk then crying at 12:30 and 1:30. When he woke at 1:30 he was still screaming at 2:15 and nothing would settle him so I had to bring him in for my sanity. He slept till 5:15 had milk then slept till 8:30.

Iwish · 11/03/2012 20:01

I have to share this. It's about breastfeeding but I read this and it made me cry! So beautiful.

KLou111 · 11/03/2012 21:17

So lovely that iwish God I miss Euan being that small, but obviously wouldn't change him for the world :)

Yes, was petrified yesterday, but instincts just kicked in and knew what to do. He's been fine today :)
Have ordered an amber anklet, as though his tooth has been ok, his cheeks are red, and seems to be a bit uncomfy at bed time when I give him the teetha granules.

Hope your little uns have been good today. What you been up to?

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 11/03/2012 21:36

stupid question, but is the anklet for you or him?? if its for you, isnt it abit gross for him to be chewing something near your foot, and if its for him, is he going to be comfy chewing it round his leg? or am i completly missing something??

we have been to lincoln, wanted to return something to primark and ended up spending £48 in there, and got loads form debenhams too!! tey got some lovely girls stuff and they had 10% off too. primark is cheap crap but lulu stains everything anyway so i dont mind, and good for pants, vests and socks too. got the baby some socks from there, £1.50 for a pack, not sure if there is 3 pairs or 5.

had to take my cardi off!! its been so warm, then tried to weed the garden, but violet got mardy outside os stopped.

KLou111 · 12/03/2012 08:16

Lmao Liz the anklet isn't for chewing :) it's meant to soothe somehow. A couple of friends have mentioned them now, so have ordered one from www.amberpumpkin.com was only about £6 inc delivery. I got the screw one in rare green.

Glad you had a good time shopping, I love clothes shopping, esp for Euan :)
It's been very warm hasn't it! We may move our tv back in the conservatory today :)

OP posts:
Iwish · 12/03/2012 09:40

I know klou. Seems like only yesterday they were tiny! They grow up way to fast.
I've heard good things about those anklets. Hope it world ok on him.
Is it sunny near you? It's a bit grey here. Was lovely yesterday tho.

liz glad you enjoyed shoppin, spent a fortune lol! I love shoppin for Joshua but hate looking for myself (prob cos I can't fit in anything!)

When do we start using suncream on them?
