Ahh cute shoes klou!!!! Is he doing more steps now? Not a bad price either.

Violets bad chest started on Saturday so she was grumpy and out of sorts all day. No birthday cake for her!!!

She's still not right, unhappy most of the time, off her food, so unlike her!

What are you all doing at the weekend?

KLou111 · 29/07/2012 14:02

Aw poor violet Liz has she some teeth coming is that why she's off her food too perhaps?

Had some friends round last night and had a fab night.
Got some more friends coming in a min.

Euan went to my parents yesterday morning so I had a whole 24 hours away from him which is the longest ever. Missed him so much. I put a blue bow on his trike while he was gone and i just burst into tears!! I think mainly as he wasn't there, but also cos he's gonna be 1 soon!!
We've got him the trike, some ball pit balls, paddling pool, bath toys, tamborine and a maracca thing, do you think that's enough? I can't get the mega bloks workbench but have seen a build a town table but thought could get that for Xmas.

We're taking him to the zoo on his birthday, and in September we're off to legoland!!! Some friends had some free tickets but its midweek so they can't go, excited muchly :)

lizandlulu · 29/07/2012 16:38

Yes klou, I think that's plenty!!! Good that you had a good night, it's nice to be child free for a short while.

I went out last night on the English hen doo for he girl I went to benidorm with, was dead good. Chris was racing so mum and dad came and stayed over!!!

Yes I think she is getting more teeth, her cheeks are hot today, she's been dribbling loads, but can't see any about to break through.

She's a lot happier today than she has been, hopefully her cold is clearing up and her chest too!

lizandlulu · 30/07/2012 22:10

Klou, need your help. Wat are you feeding Euan? Violet has gone right off savoury foods on a spoon since she's been poorly, so been giving her finger foods, but apart from sodding sandwiches and pasta, I have drawn a blank. She's not keen on pasta up to yet.

Do you have any suggestions?

KLou111 · 31/07/2012 08:44

Tbh Liz the only thing Euan will let me spoon feed him is yoghurt!!
He has either a sandwich at lunch (dairylea, jam, marmite, peanut butter) or a 2 egg omlette done in

OP posts:
KLou111 · 31/07/2012 08:54

butter. Yoghurt, and a biscuit or raisins or rice cakes.

Mid afternoon about 2.30 he has a small scone or half toasted teacake.

Tea he has chunks of chicken or fishfingers (3) or chunks of beef or pork.
I do sliced peppers, or peas, sweetcorn, carrots, green beans etc with either pasta like macaroni or a jacket spud without the skin, or a boiled spud chopped up.
He had a burger off the bbq in a bun with tom sauce and some cherry tomatoes and liked that.
Or sausages with no skin is a good one (3 of).
Then a yoghurt then strawberries or kiwi or banana etc.

If he's really hungry he'll let me feed him Lasagne or chilli con carne and rice or something like that. We had black bean Chinese chicken and rice last night so have some of that today :)

I do find it quite difficult to vary it though.

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 31/07/2012 09:06

Does he chew the meat all ok? How many teeth has he got now?

I did do her scrambled egg on Sunday as I make it quite firm and she liked that.

Anything that's mine, she sits at my knee like a dog waiting for me to give her food! But if she sees it's her food in her bowl with her spoons she won't let me give it to her.

I tried giving her breakfast out of my bowls, but still used her spoon and she was having none of it, even tho it was normal weetabix and banana.

KLou111 · 31/07/2012 13:04

He started wanting to feed himself about 2 months ago and he only had 4 teeth I think, 5 and 6 are through but taking ages. He chews fine, you just have to chop up the meat like if you'd get it in a Chinese so quite small chunks. Fish just falls apart so that's ok a bit bigger.

For breaky i give him shreddies and milk, and a slice of toast with butter.

He ALWAYS wants some of ours so if we eat we have it the same time as him but mostly when he's in bed.

lizandlulu · 01/08/2012 14:24

Her tea last night was fish fingers and peas which went down quite well. I don't want to get stuck in the trap of feeding her crap tho, I think she's defiantly going to be chubbier than lulu as lulus diet was very old, she loved nothing more than a plate of plain rice or egg white, and I want violet to eat a more varied diet that lulu did, which I think she does already!

But on the other hand, I don't have the time to cook her food from scratch every night, so need quick but healthy ideas.

It's my first weigh in tonight at slimming world, last week I wore crop trousers as it was red hot, and tonight might wear jeans, which will make a pound or two difference, but will let you know how I get on

KLou111 · 01/08/2012 17:08

That's great Liz glad she ate it.
Good luck tonight :)

I made a shepherds pie last night and Euan let me feed it to him so that was good as he's got it again tonight lol.

Just waiting for him to be dropped off, he's been at the in laws as they've got robs nan and grandad there this week.
He's been a bit restless in the night for the last 2 nights for a couple of hours. Tooth 7 cut yesterday, bottom left so may be that. Don't miss that I must say!!!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 02/08/2012 19:23

Wow tooth number seven!!!! Violets still only got 4!!

Been to the library today and saw an old school friend who has 2 girls, the youngest being 15 months old. I couldn't believe the difference between her and violet. She was walking and running all over the place, and she was dead tall. Violet looked like a bit dropped off!

I have been round a mates house this afternoon and a few other ladies was there and there was about 12 kids between us, but the ice cream van came past and they all went out to get one, but I didn't get violet one as she'd just had a push up one, so all the other kids had one, and she threw an absolute fit cause she didn't get one! She ended up having one that the other kid didn't want and it mus have kept her quiet for about half an hour! She sat on my knee and are it so I could control the mess, but loved it all!

Oh and lost 5 pound in my first week at slimming world! Was dead impressed ith myself! But then, I am eating my own weight in fruit!

KLou111 · 02/08/2012 20:26

Put Euan to bed an hour ago, still crying....... Not a happy chicken :(
We've been out all day so he's not slept much but had an extra hour this morning so he's either over tired or his teeth.

Liz well done with the weight loss!!! Good on you!!!
violets such a dainty thing bless her. My friend said Euan was like a toddler the other week. There's a week between hers an him and hers is still a 'baby' by comparison lol!!

Best go, we're having a fit up there now, I can hear banging!!!

OP posts:
KLou111 · 02/08/2012 20:57

Been quiet for 20 mins, fingers crossed......

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 02/08/2012 21:58

Violet is the same tonight

We have been out nearly all day, she had half an hour in the car, and could have sleep while we were out but was too nosy. She went to bed at 6 like normal and went straight off, but woke about 8 and is still not asleep. She's not screaming, just moaning.

lizandlulu · 06/08/2012 09:04

Morning all, how's your weekend been.?

Lulu went fishing yesterday with her dad! She's been wanting to go for a while but he's always been too busy, but took her yesterday and she loved it. I went to meadowhall with a friend and violet, got back at 5 and they still wasn't back, they went at 9 . She didn't fet bored or whingy all day and caught 21 fish! Chris only caught 7.

Rehune · 06/08/2012 16:18

hello everyone, have been away from the post natal thread after being quite active on the ante natal one. Had Raya on 7th August 2011 right in the middle of the riots. Not literally. She was born after a loooooong no drug labour (the no drug bit was not by choice!) at Queen Charlotte and Chelsea hospital birth centre in West London. She is going to be a year old tomorrow. I really can't believe how fast it's come about. Been going through some of the thread and hopefully will catch up with some old buddies soon xx

Iwish · 06/08/2012 20:18

Hi ho all!!

Sorry I dissspeared yet again!

Glad Lulu enjoyed fishing liz. Did u get anything from meadowhall?

How are you klou?

All is good here. Joshua is good, took 1 step yesterday!!! I had another sodding illness last week, staryed feeling awful on monday night so was off work on Wednesday but Joshua was in nursery do I stated in bed till lunch time. I'm better now but have a barking cough.
Nick left his bloody car open again last weekend and some f7£ker stole his sat nav, work tools and work phone. He has left it open twice in 3 years and both times things have been stolen! We live I'm a lovely area but the scruffs come from another area and try their luck.

Iwish · 06/08/2012 20:19

Sorry rehune welcome to our lovely little group xx

KLou111 · 06/08/2012 22:07

Oh no iwish that's awful with the car!!! What little wankers!!!!
Hope you feel a bit better soon, coughs are the bloody worst!!
Well done Joshua on his step!!

Good on lulu Liz outfishing her dad!! She enjoyed it then :)

Well, not sure if you've read my fb post, but apparently Euan has been walking for the last week lmao!!
I thought walking was walking when bubs like walked across the room or something. But he's been doing 4 or 5 steps every day about 10 times but I didn't think that was classed as him 'walking' iyswim?
It's so lovely, but I'm yet to catch it on camera.
Can't believe he's 1 a week today!!!

Hi rehune, I remember you from the august 2011 bus lol!!

OP posts:
Iwish · 07/08/2012 20:44

I know klou!! Was v pissed off when we saw the little muppet on camera. He came back a second time a bit later too!!

Wow can't believe he's 1 next week!! Our babies are growing too fast! Joshua is 1 6 weeks today.

Can you believe it, Joshua has a friggin viral rash now!! He is completely covered in red dots!

KLou111 · 07/08/2012 20:53

Oh no iwish poor little fella, hope it clears soon. Is it bothering him?

Well Euan did his best ever walk today, and my mum and dad were here and saw it too. He was a lot more balanced and did about 7 steps Grin He was holding onto the sofa, and I could just tell I could get him to walk. I held his toy so he'd walk to it and I kept moving backwards so he walked a bit more.
I STILL CAN'T GET IT ON SODDING CAMERA!!!
And bought him another pressie today, it's a 'flippin puppy', I had one when I was little, and I was keeping it for Euan but when we moved there wasn't a lit left cos the mice got it :(
It's one of those dogs that barks, sits and flips backwards.
Bought my friends little girl a kitten one for her birthday the following week.
They've got bunnies and pigs too, got it off amazon :)

lizandlulu · 07/08/2012 21:48

Evenng all,

Hiya rehune,

Well done Euan and Joshua!!! Both little stars!!

Hope your feeling better now iwish.

Fucking scum stealing your stuff. You. Ant leave anything open nowadays. I am quite lucky as no one in their right mind would come down our lane where all these travellers are and rob down here! Which is why I love it, all the scum go into the towns to rob as they can disappear a lot easier. Have you reported it to the police? Can you claim off insurance?

KLou111 · 08/08/2012 13:19

Finally caught the little fella on camera. Posted to fb :)
Just sitting having a cuppa after swimming. God thus place is a shithole!! Thank god they're building a new one!!!
