KLou111 · 13/07/2012 21:06

Has it??? Will let Rob know, he's meant to be going to that!

Are you mental??? 4???

Re birthday stuff, got that water thing from mothercare half off so £6, ordered trike, going to get paints, bath stuff, megablocks work bench table, sand pit, sand pit toys and don't know what else yet.

It's great buying stuff for the little man, love it :)

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 14/07/2012 07:46

Blimey klou, that's a lot of stuff!!! He not remember it you know!Grin

I am going to get violet 2 at the most, just one of them bth toys and something else, not a lot, she don't need owt.

Saying that, I just got back from the next sale after spending £180! Got a lot of stuff for the kids for next summer tho, shoes for lulu, a kettle, 2 watches for me,all sorts!!

Yes the belvior cla fair is cancelled, that is the one he was going to isn't it

KLou111 · 16/07/2012 09:27

Sorry, I wrote a huge reply on sat, internet crashed, then haven't had a chance.

I know I know he won't remember lol, but I will! Wink
The parents are getting some of it :)

Good going on the sale, sounds like you got some great bargains! Still think you're mental getting up at 4!!

All good here, painted the lounge yesterday back to cream from royal blue! 3 coats and you can just see blue so got to do another when Euan has his nap at lunch time. Our sofas are on the landing, rest of stuff in guest room (lounge and guest room on 1st floor).
Looks so much nicer than that nasty blue. Got to get some blinds or curtains next then that's another room done!

Tooth 5 came through Thursday eve, top left, then 6 yesterday, bottom right. Very random, I thought the 2 at top would come first as they were both there, couldn't even see the bottom one. Now can see the other bottom one too. Thank god they don't seem to be bothering him though :)

How's everyone else x

Hey all.

How are you?

I'm on week 3 of work now. Not been in today but am in tomorrow. Poor Joshua seems to sleep worse the days I've been at work, wonder of he's missing me?
Joshua has 6 teeth and keeps sinking them into my fingers or toes lol.

Wow you got loads from next liz! I love next but can't be arsed with the sales. Have you got violets birthday prezzies sorted?

Can't believe howuch stuff you are doing in the house klou! How's Euan?

lizandlulu · 17/07/2012 19:17

These kids are getting loads of teeth aren't they!! I can't believe Joshua has 6, or was it 8? Poor old violets still only got he 4, although for the last 10 days she's done nothing but slobber on everything, it's just running out her mouth! So I presume more mush be on their way.

Well it's her birthday Saturday, Chris was ment to be borrowing a bouncy castle from a friend, but no sign of it yet, and was ment to be having a BBQ and asking friends over, b don't know what the weathers going to do so hard to plan for it.

Royal blue sounds abit much klou! Maybe on one wall as a feature? But cream is so much better. Have you seen yor neighbours?

Iwish · 17/07/2012 20:17

Yeh 6 Liz! Not sure if he has any more on the way, daren't put my fingers in to check lol! Awww bless her, bet she has more on the way since she's dribbling everywhere. That's what Joshua was like.
Has she got her bottom front 2 and top front 2?
Joshua has 2 bottom front and 4 top ones.
Hope the weather will be nice, last thing you want it rain when your planning an outdoor party.

Have you way he'd that programme on bbc2 about taking your babies to work? Omg I'd be running around after joshua, not doing work!!

lizandlulu · 17/07/2012 21:02

I did see abit on the news about it this morning, they showed a couple of mums with babies about 9 months old, and the company provided play pens to put them in while they got on with work. It would be fine for an emergency, but I can't see it working in the long run! Like Å·ou say, you would forever be checking on them, not to mention feeding changing. I didn't see the whole story tho, I might be getting it wrong.

Yes violet has 2 top and 2 bottom teeth.

She's also got thrush on her bum, I thought it was a patch of nappy rash, just raised and red, but then it turned abit pimply, like red dots. I mentioned it to nursery and the owner had a look and said it looked like thrush. So got some low dose thrush cream that will hopefully clear it up, metanium usually clear up nappy rash in a couple of days and it's not touched it. Hope this cream works.

KLou111 · 19/07/2012 09:46

Meant to be brightening up now Liz, fingers crossed for violets birthday. Has she cut any more teeth after the slobbering?
What have you got her for her big day?
Is her thrush clearing?

Don't know how these parents could go to work with their little uns, I barely get a moment to go to the loo when Euans awake!!!

How you getting on iwish? Is going to work getting easier?

Day off painting today, got to do the whole house cos of dirty fingerprints and where they've moved out etc. Should only need 1 coat though so should be easier than what we've done so far.

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 19/07/2012 15:38

Yes she thrush is clearing up nicely, it's not half as red as what it was. I didn't think it was thrsu at first as, being a woman, my thrush has always had white discharge as one of its symptoms, sorry if it's just too grosse, but she doesn't have any white at all, it's just the redness and pimply appearance, but I did google image it and it's exactly the same as most of the images.

Incidentally, you should just type nappy rash into it and look at some of the awful states some babies bums are in!, made for shocking viewing for me!!

For her birthday I have just got her 2 lots of bath toys, a scootery ride on thing, shaped abit like a trunki, but hollow and a helium balloon and some normal balloons to play with, I have got a lady making her a cake in the shape of a 1 and some cupcakes.

Klou, question for you as you might know, this ppi that everyone's going on about, is it only for people who have had loans? I was going to look into it as I originally thought it was a load of cobblers, but a few friends have had a few quid back from it, but I have only ever had mortgages, never loans. Is that different?

KLou111 · 19/07/2012 17:38

Glad the little lady is looking a bit better Liz :)

Basically from what I understand ppi was the extra payment you paid on a loan so if you lost your job and couldn't pay your monthly payment, it was paid.
A friend we saw on Saturday got a couple of grand and her brother got 12!!
I semi had a go at her as I had a car loan at 18 and fully understood the ppi thing and I didn't pay it. It really really pisses me off cos it was clear as day yet you can claim it back??!!!???
Obviously there are some people who knew what they were doing and yet have gone to claim and still got it back.
If you can get some back, fair play I suppose, but it doesn't half annoy me cos we all end up paying for it somewhere!!!
Rant over!

OP posts:
KLou111 · 19/07/2012 17:40

Oh, I think it was just loans not mortgages, as I don't think you can get ppi on mortgages can you?

OP posts:
KLou111 · 19/07/2012 17:44

Me again, just looked, you can get ppi for mortgages, didn't know that. You can claim it back but it was apparently more clear in mortgages than loans, but worth a try I suppose if you had it

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 19/07/2012 21:08

I don't undersstand it, if you did agree to it at the time, how do they know if now you say you didn't know? I don't get it.

On one hand, I agree ith you, it's this whole, claim for all you an get, artitipude that's put this country in a sodding mess, but on the other hand I think if the bank is going to give me abit of the massively over charged money back then I should get it.

My first mortgage was 12 years ago with brittania building society, so don't know how to go about it, but on a different view, my dad has to pay around £1800 a month just to draw cash out of the bank to pay our customers. Which is fucking wrong, but cause its business, all bloody banks do it!

So if they try and get as much out of us at every possible turn, should I try and get abit back???

Oh I don't know if I can be arsed to try! It's just something else to add to my list of things to do

Iwish · 22/07/2012 19:31

I'm so crap at keeping up!!

My mum and dad got money back from ppi liz. They got about £1500 and said they didn't have to do much.
How was Violets birthday? Hope you had a good day and that she got spoilt.

How are you klou? Have you done more painting? How's Euan?

We have been to the park with Joshua today and yesterday we went to toys r us and got a couple of prezzies for Joshua's birthday. Feel shattered today. Sodding alarm went off on the movement sensor again be ause he was squished at the top of the cot and I had already woke up a few hours earlier so didn't sleep for longer than 2 1/2 - 3 hours at a time.

lizandlulu · 22/07/2012 19:42

Violets not been very well, she woke up on her birthday very very grouchy, wheezy and snotty. She just wasn't well and was very Mardy and clingy with it, so she was in bed early, no candles, no BBQ, no evening meal out, just take away when she was in bed.

Today she's been about the same.

But we have been to meadowhall today to get lulus ears pierced. We had to wait in a que and she was getting more and more nervous, but we got to the front of the que, nearly in tears, the ladies did it and one didn't go in properly, so they hod to do it all again! She burst into tears saying she wished she didn't have it done! It stung for a few mins, but after about an hour she was fine.

How's everyone else's weekend been? It's set to get warmer!

Iwish · 22/07/2012 21:19

Oh no, poor Violet! I hope she gets better soon. Did she get lots of prezzies? And poor lulu getting upset. At least she was ok after a while tho.

I hope we do have a proper summer now, it's nice to be able to go to the park etc instead of staying in because of rain!

lizandlulu · 22/07/2012 21:43

She got a few but not a lot, mum nd dad and my mate didn't know what to get her as she has everything she needs and no point spending money till she needs something.

She did get 4 helium balloons that she liked swatting about.

Yes I don't mind the nice weather, as long as it doesn't get too hot, like today if perfect, not too hot and a nice breeze.

Me and the kids are going to centre parcs on Thursday with 2 of lulus school friends and their mums as one of hem can get free entry so hope it's nice for then. We plan to go swimming in the pool in the morning, then lunch and park in the afternoon. There is a manmade beach there too so should be nice.

lizandlulu · 22/07/2012 21:45

Oh and ment to say, been to meadowhall and agin, not bought anything!!! Apart from £2.70 for some wardrobe scent things in the sale from Laura Ashley, and a coffee and doughnut. But all them shops and nowt in them!!!

Saturday we went to sainsburys cafe tho, and saw some lovely clothes but didn't get time to look as we had to be back, so might see if I can get one night after work

lizandlulu · 24/07/2012 16:17

Im melting!!

Been to take violet to he docs again cause her bad chest is no better, just said the same thing, keep using her inhalers, but like to get her looked at rather than sit at home worrying about it.

What's everyone else been up to?

Klou, your kebabs look delish, and we don't even own a proper BBQ!

Iwish · 24/07/2012 20:06

It's bloody warm isn't it! I've had a dress on today which is very rare lol. Forgot to shave my legs tho, oops lol.

Poor violet, she's not having much luck with her poor chest. Better to check on the safe side.

Have been to the park with my friend and her daughter today and had a bit of a picnic then just went to matalan for a nosey round.
Oh yeh went to docs with Joshua this am, he's got conjunctivitis and eczema. Soooo he's not alowed to nursery tonorrow because of his eye so nick has booked the day off. Should be fun, he's only ever watched him for about a hour!!

lizandlulu · 25/07/2012 16:28

Ahh poor lad, nick not Joshua!!! Only playing!! Hope they are getting on fine. Has he got some cream for his eyes? Are they really gunky? I hate it, must feel awful for them.

Has he got eczema forever? I mean, it is going to be there forever, or just for now? Will he grow out of it? Is it a lot or just a patch?

Violets still not happy, I am trying to use her inhalers more but it's really hard to make sure she gets a breath of the spray when she's crying and thrashing about.

I am joining slimming world tonight, don't want to but got to do something to make me stop ramming my mouth full of food. I have kept off the stone I lost before my holiday, but not eating well and can feel my clothes eating tighter again. Would like to lose 2 stone for Christmas.

Iwish · 25/07/2012 19:13

Nick did ok with Joshua today. Said he was a bit whingy and wouldn't eat his lunch but was ok all in all.
They have given me a prescription for him but said to try with cooled boiled water first for a few days. I've just put a pic on Facebook, he looks awful. When you wipe his eyes the gunk is back after 5 minutes

They didn't say if he would have it forever, just said use this cream lol.

If u want violet to breathe in just blow in her face and she will breathe in.

Oooh are u going to the meetings or joining online? I'd love to loose weight but I love food too much lol!

lizandlulu · 26/07/2012 20:58

I have to give these inhalers through this sort to pump, like. Mark I hold over her face and pump the spray so it goes into the mask. It's bloody hard!

Good for nick! Was he knackered at the end of the day?

I went to join a proper meeting, I went with 2 other girls, neither has as much as me to lose, but all want to lose some. I am 15 st 11 and want to get down to 12 eventually, but firstly I would like to lose 2 stone by Christmas.

We have been to centre parts today, violet was thoughly unhapY all day and had 2 lots of calpol. I think the pool area was just too hot for her, but it wasn't too busy and was a lovely atmosphere. Apart from one old bloke, he sat on his chair, about 12 ft from the pool and was sick where he sat! Just sick, there and then?? I was go smacked and felt quite Ill! To make it worse he just sat there for a good ten mins, didn't do anything. I had violet asleep on me so I couldn't tell anyone. But he got up and walked away and didn't do anything!!
Then 2 mins later, a family went to the table and chairs to sit down, the bloke walked in it, realised what it was and told a assistant.

There's me just sat there, can't believe what I am seeing!!! And it's a lovely clean pool and pool side. Or it was!!

KLou111 · 27/07/2012 15:58

Helloooo ladies!!! Sorry not been on for a while!

Poor little babies you've got :(

Glad nick got on ok iwish he can do it again and give you a day off Wink now he knows what he's doing.
Hope Joshua clears up soon poor fella.

That's bloody awful Liz that bloke being sick, dirty bastard!
Hope the little lady gets well soon.
Good luck with the weight loss. I've still got a baby belly I can't seem to shift, but at least I've not put any weight ON lol.

All good here. Must say it's lovely being back around friends. Went out to a friends baby shower on Sunday, was great as not seen her for years!!! Anyway she's due her little boy, Jake, on 11th Aug, so a year between him and Euey. She's also got a little girl whos 3 in Sept, nd we're going to a soft play place on Monday as long as she hasn't sprogged!

Got some friends over tomorrow aft forthe night. My parents have got Euan for 24 hours from tomorrow morning. they had him last sat night too, nd we asked robs mum and dad if they'd hve him this sat but his mums a bit wary bout an over nighter yet. So they had him weds forth the day. Weird having time to ourselves.

Ordered Euan his first pair of shoes today. His toes are scuffed like mad where he's crawling outside on the patio nd he sslit his toe the other day too. The measured his little feet in clarks (brought back memories!!) but they don't have his size so I've ordered them and should have them by weds.
Have ordered ones he can use to walk in as well as crawl as he's really getting there now. It's really weird as he just stands in the garden playing, where's my baby gone!!??!
