mrsh I usually start the bath/dress around 6.30 and then bottle about 7.15ish. She is then into cot and usually sleeping by 8pm. She wakes around 7.30am but is good in that she lays there till I get up and open blinds after 8am. Honestly don't think I could cope getting up any earlier Confused. I see what you mean though about wanting to have her up so dh can see her, can you try push last nap a bit later so she isn't so tired?

bb3 sounds a lovely day! I'm loving that all the shops are getting their spring/summer things in. Really must not spend any money though. She has enough clothes to last till she is 3! Huge boxes onto of wardrobe stuffed with stuff!! 0-3 things starting to get a little small now, but 3-6 clothes still look huge! She is just being so awkward Grin. I'm looking forward to seeing her in little t-shirts with bare arms and no socks and shoes on. God, roll on the summer!!!!!

CheshireDing · 26/02/2012 00:28

MrsH since we put P in her own room she is down by 8.30pm at the latest - usually 7.30pm-ish. She will wake before we go to bed though, so I suppose theoretically your DH could see her then.

You could try what FD suggested about a late nap. Naptime is very random in our house though Blush

No rolling here :(

Had a sleep in the middle of the day today, feel more knackered now (I never daytime sleep) and spotty :O

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 26/02/2012 00:34

Well M wouldn't take the bottle from DH Sad on the bright side he said she's been relatively settled despite not having any milk from 6pm till now.

Hen night was good except there was a palm reader there and I got a reading for a laugh, she asked if my mum or gran had passed away I said no so she changed the subject and asked have I been left a ring, again I said no, she said I will be left a ring and it's very precious so look after it! When I was a little girl I always admired my gran's sapphire engagement ring and she always said I'd get it Sad my gran hasn't been in good health for years and it was her who bought me my new car yesterday, so I'm now wondering if she did this because she feels she won't be here mug longer Sad
I really hope the palm reader woman is just a scam artist or something as other than my kids my gran is one of the most important people to me!

Sorry Fr the me me me post feel I need to tell someone and can't really talk to family about it!

Jnice · 26/02/2012 00:58

Oh ed, don't think about it, most women our age have very elderly grandmas and they usually have lovely rings Smile I honestly think palm readers etc are just very good at reading people, they will say something vague and then judging by the reaction they develop their story. It's nonsense honestly.

Please don't worry.

Jnice · 26/02/2012 01:06

Here comes a me me me post!

Sorry I haven't been contributing much - Ido love reading about you all, I just he bored of my own little gripes and feel like I'm always moaning, so better to be quiet sometimes.

Anyway, on the plus side L only woke once last night. We've had weeks of nighttime hell so this was a welcome break. When he did wake he was up for 90 mins though, a bit hard for me to get back to sleep.

Today I get up an discover both DSs have fevers Strep again it seems - DH has been to urgent care with them and oldest is on IV for dehydration - he just can't keep anything down when he gets strep Sad

I'm gutted because I had to cancel my hair appointment - so selfish when my boys are sick but I really needed the break. -sigh-

I am starting to wonder about hygiene and immune issues thinking why do they get so sick? Last time I boiled their toothbrushes, I didn't want to throw them away because they are electric heads and were brand new and expensive. I shouldn't be such a penny pincher Sad

Anyway, on the plus again I gave in and bought a new bumbo and jolly jumper today, was trying to get them secondhand but failing to call anyone fast enough. L loves the bumbo. Trying the jumper again later. Need to sell his swing and make room!

LittlePebble · 26/02/2012 03:45

Oh Jnice don't apologise! I felt the same the last few days but haven't had things as tough as you. Poor boys hope that they'll be better properly soon.
Fingers crossed L gives you a good night and hoping you have a better weekend sending a big hug x

LittlePebble · 26/02/2012 03:48

Ed totally agree with Jnice, think she was fishing as most woman will have lost a grandmother and often inherit a ring, don't let it worry you she'll have gone quiet while she thought of what to say next that's all.

LittlePebble · 26/02/2012 03:49

cheshire I'm spotty too Confused bloody hormones still!!

BB3 · 26/02/2012 05:14

Jnice - I really feel for you, ds has never been a sickly baby gets a really bad virus once a year and that's it, however he's been constantly sick since October last year with cough and colds then hospital stays for bronchitis, Edie-may got bronchitis shortly after and I was also wondering what I was doing wrong but dr said they'd not had winter of viruses this bad for a long, long time so it's nothing we've done just too many bugs flying around and not just in the uk x i hope ds's get better ASAP xx

AngrySad about your hair appointment I'd have been upset too so don't feel bad.

Ed x Sad hugs, give m and c big kisses and cuddles and try not to worry about the predictions. Enjoy spending time with your grandmother!

Well my later to bed, later to rise plan failed miserably - Edie was up and awake at 4.44 this morning. She is smiling at me now like butter wouldn't melt... It's going to be a looooong day xxx

Fuzz, I know I cannot wait for their first summer x

Jnice · 26/02/2012 05:54

Oh no BB3 such an early start! Sometimes L wakes then and won't go back, until around 90 mins - I hope you get a bit more sleep. Thanks for the perspective on the sickness Smile

supergirl1 · 26/02/2012 07:44

pops in....

i think all the viruses are due to the unseasonably mild weather. (know the past two weeks have been quite cold but before then. we've had it too and generally are pretty immune! :( poor kids and poor us.

mrs hende, e had a hair wrapped round his toe a few weeks ago. was horrible, couldnt get it off and it was cutting into his skin. eventually did manage but cut his poor wee toe in the process. had visions of us turning up at casualty with the most ridiculous ailment ever, but it was so sore for him. luckily didnt have to go!

pops out....

my hair is falling out in handfuls though (cant remember who else this was happening to) so scared it will happen again!

supergirl1 · 26/02/2012 07:46

pops out was supposed to be at the end! silly phone!

Jnice · 26/02/2012 07:57

Argh, my hair is coming out in handfuls too. I check L for hairs every time I dress or change him - the hair tourniquet is a really common thing so if you do have to go to hospital don't worry about it! They have seen it before for sure.

MrsHende · 26/02/2012 08:28

My hair is falling out too! We're going to all end up balder than the babies Wink!

Well, going to bed an hour earlier worked a treat, she slept later! I'll try again tonight and see if it was a fluke.

Ed that's such a pity that M never took the milk, but I'm glad she was ok. Ignore the palm reader - load of rubbish! (But I do understand how unnerving it is when they seem to know stuff!)

Off to my mum's to stay tonight then I'm bringing her back with me tomorrow to stay with L while I go for a smear, great fun!

Have a good Sunday everyone!

FuzzzyDuck · 26/02/2012 09:00

jnice I second what was said, I know you are further away but I think the mild weather this winter has made all the bugs come out to play big time!! Can't be much fun seeing your ds ill all the time Sad. Fingers crossed it clears up soon and stays away Smile

ed I had the same sorta experience, was told a grandparent was 'on the way out' and to save the £ I was to receive wisely. Well, 6 years on and they are all still going strong!! My grandad is still very generous with his money, but I feel it's more a guilt thing as he has never meet me or my brother (my dads dad who left the family when my dad and his sisters were young). I wouldn't worry to much. Easier said that done though.

I got my letter through for smear too. Must book app for it this wk. cheshire did you hear anything else back about yours?

BB3 · 26/02/2012 10:30

Urgh I have my smear next week, haven't had one in a few years. Deep joy!!!!

PenguinArmy · 26/02/2012 10:41

Another one struggling here. I'm OK if DS does one decent sleep but his sleep is getting worse by the day. Saying that he's down at the moment and I'm hiding in the bedroom as need some me time.

LittlePebble · 26/02/2012 10:54

Penguin what's happening with DS's sleep? Sad
I was searching through various sleep threads last night trying to decide which route to go down to get E to self settle has anyone tried the no cry sleep solution?
Glad it's not just me going bald...spotty and bald Hmm how attractive!

Engelsmeisje · 26/02/2012 10:55

Morning all!

mrs h M goes down between 6.30 and 7pm. Kept him up later on Friday as DHs cousins came over to see him, but made no difference to wake-up time. He normally wakes up between 7.30 and 8am.

No rolling here either Cheshire though M managed a 360 degree turn yesterday Grin
Spotty here as well. All the lovely pregnancy hormones are leaving my body Sad. When I was pregnant my skin was the best it had been since I was in my early teens. Time to go back on the pill I think ? it?s the only thing that keeps my skin under control. When we were ttc, my skin got so bad one of my colleagues asked me, ?what?s wrong with your face?? (Dutch diplomacy, gotta love it).

Sending you a big hug ed. Try not to worry about what the palm reader said. I agree with what lp and jnie said, she was just fishing. Enjoy spending time with your GM. Saw my GPs last weekend when we were in England. My GF is crazy about M. I always feel a bit Sad not knowing if they?ll be there the next time I go back to the UK (they?re in their late 80s), so I make the most of the time I can see them ?even though my GM is a very crotchety old lady--.

jnice sorry to hear you?re having such a rubbish time of it. It can only get easier! Hope your poorly boys get better soon.

Finding my hair all over the house. Am constantly hoovering or should be constantly hoovering Grin . (spell check keeps changing hoovering to hovering?must think I?m a witch!). Speaking of which I need to MIL-proof my house. She?s a very house proud SAHM who cleans as soon as dirt appears (which is why my FIL doesn?t wipe his feet properly when he comes in my house and leaves a trail of footprints in my kitchen?he used to MIL running after him with a mop!). I, on the other hand, practice what DH likes to call ?English cleaning??i.e. I am a slob. She?s going to have a field day!

no shame in hiding in the bedroom pa Grin

CheshireDing · 26/02/2012 10:55

Well Jnice I reckon things can only get better for you :) fx I went a few times to Psychic type people years ago - one group even locked us in their church and started singing about Jesus and death. I can laugh about it now Grin I think what she told you could apply to lots of people if they choose it to, I could probably interpret it for my Gran and her jewellery so I would not worry. As others have said.

Scheh P did poo on me once :(

I think my hair is definitely thinner than it used to be but I hate the fact that my nails keep breaking more at the moment. I guess that's why in the old days they used to say your teeth fell out!

FD I have to wait for a phone call with the results, which is not for about another 2 weeks.

Have got DH babysitting again all day today (excluding feeding). I am definitely going to keep this idea going once a week. Recommend it :)

CheshireDing · 26/02/2012 10:56

What is no cry sleep solution Pebble?

strawberrypenguin · 26/02/2012 11:01

We start bedtime at around 7:30 with W's antibiotics, some bottle then bath, book, bit more bottle and bed. He's usually down by 8:30 sometimes he wakes at 4ish for a feed sometimes not. Usually wakes around 6/6:30

LittlePebble · 26/02/2012 11:31

It's a book about how to get babies to self settle and sleep through without leaving them to cry ... Wondered if anyone had tried it as we're deciding today what route to go down with E in next couple of weeks

PenguinArmy · 26/02/2012 13:40

I've heard good things about it pebble Think I'll see if it's in the LLL library next time we go.

DS I think is growth spurting. Fed every 90 mins last night, two hourly the night before. It doesn't help that he no longer really sleeps in either the buggy or the car. If you do get him to sleep he is difficult to put down and you don't know if it will be 10 mins or more than 90 mins. When he is awake he's quite unsettled so don't get any hands to myself or time with DD which is affecting her behaviour. If I get one good sleep in the day, which afaic is a 30 mins while being put down then I'm OK.
