Cheers YF.

Put Evie in her cotbed last night for the first time. She looked so tiny in it. I left the doors open and had the baby monitors on as well, woke up at 7:45, panicked as she'd not stirred. Checked on her and she's till asleep!!

YF and Elf they are adorable - must have a look for those links for camereon. Elf hope things get better!!

MB - well done Johnny - your a wee star!! and poor you MB for missing it after all the effort you put in.

Elf bet you and Evie start having better nights sleep now as she has a big comfy mattress to snuggle into.

Cameron been sleeping better the last few nights again - not wakening until 7/7.15am. He now has a lunch and dinner and I swear he would eat me out of house and home if I let him - he just wont stop - he would keep eating if I let him - he gets so excited when he sees his spoon and he even tries to shove the spoon in his mouth himself.

Still trying to put him on his tummy and role him about - I think he may be starting to more interested in it now and he likes holding things more now I think he may even be beginning to like my singing Grin

YOKEFLEET · 05/03/2006 09:26

elf did you sleep well yourself? I was up and down like a yo yo for the first couple of nights but on the 3rd night ds slept through until 9.30 (usually between 5.30-6.30) and I didn't wake until he did. I felt so guilty....for about 30 seconds!! Wink

nervousmum · 05/03/2006 18:11

Where did you all get your baby passport photos printed? We took a picture, as per passport office specifications, on the digital camera this morning, but now not sure where to get it printed! Tesco don't appear to do it, any ideas? Cheers x

YOKEFLEET · 05/03/2006 18:46

nervousmum I don't really know but do you have a Kodak shop nearby?

ponto · 05/03/2006 19:40

Nervousmum - funnily enough I have just been looking at Tesco's online photos and they will print you 8 ID pictures for £1.25. The link's \link{http://www.tescophoto.com/wpp/tesco//pricing.jsp\here}

mawbroon · 05/03/2006 21:01

NM - we got ours done at Asda.

Elf - sorry to hear that you have had a pooey weekend. Hope you get your car fixed soon. We had to wait for nice weather to get our windscreen repaired as they can't do it in the rain. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long. Shock re Evies Granda and the chocolate buttons.

Johnny rolled over again and I saw it this time. Yipeee

Well 3 weeks to go, to go back to work, is it tomorrow youstart elf?

Elf1981 · 05/03/2006 21:55

RTL - what a terrible weekend you had, you can have the crown of the crappiest weekend, so glad your little one is better now. I remember taking Evie to A&E when she had bronchitis, I felt awful seeing her on the bed. Grrr at the evil doctor, I wonder how some people manage to stay doctors without a sympathetic bone in their body!
As for work, I start back on the 21st March. It's my 2nd anniversary so didn't want to work it, though Dh is not off work! (Think he's trying to book a few days before plus the 20th so we can spend the day together, it's Evie's first day with the CM full time). Not looking forward to it, start getting bad stomach pains when I think about going back! I'm still a bit peeved that they haven't told me about whether they have sorted out a room for me to express in, though they have sent me a new contract due to change of work hours.

MB - glad you got to see your DS roll over! Evie managed halfway in the cot last night, she was asleep and I spent half the night tossing and turning panicking that she'd roll onto her face in the middle of the night.

YF - I was awake at 7:00 as thats the time she usually wakes up. I was kind of drifting into sleep and awake, then it got to about 7:30 / 7:45 and I panicked and rushed in to see if she was okay. Its silly, I miss her but she's only in the next room, with the doors wide open and baby monitors on, just in case!!

My Tesco shopping came today, loads of bags full of fruit and veg for Evie. I'm going to prepare a load & freeze so I can pop one in for when she goes to the childminders. I have got carrots, avacado, mango, melon and a load of other stuff. She hates baby rice so I have given up with that! (it does taste gross, and I do make sure I test everything she eats first to make sure it's to an acceptable standard, she had apple and blueberry the other day it was gorgeous!!) So my thick question of the day is... can you freeze avacado? I know the flesh discolours fast if not used, not too sure how the freezing would go.

(Sorry for the mammoth post!)

MG - think you are right about the big snuggly mattress, I had a good feel of the cotbed mattress while making it up yesterday, it's much nicer than the crib. IIRC the moses basket mattress was about the same as the crib, the cotbed is probably three times the thickness, plus its roomy as it's a cotbed.

Here's dd \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?rn=98504&topicid=1700&threadid=152428&redir=98504\here}

YOKEFLEET · 06/03/2006 07:50

RTL sounds like an awful weekend, hope your dd is on the mend
Thomas rolled over for the first time yesterday afternoon Grin and my parents were here to see it to which was nice as they go on holiday on Wednesday and I was sure he would start whilst they were away. The only thing is, this morning whilst I was getting dressed he has started rolling over in his cot and getting stuck!

Elf1981 · 06/03/2006 12:26

Yay YF and the rolling over.

I'm sure Evie is going to do everything at the childminders house in some bizzare punishment system for me leaving her!!

OP posts:
mummygow · 06/03/2006 12:34

RTL how is LO doing?

YOKEFLEET · 06/03/2006 14:40

mg he really is a show off!! my parents have seen most of his firsts! Wink

mawbroon · 06/03/2006 17:04

RTL - what a super cute pic of your LO. I hope she is back to normal. I think the doc must have been off the day that they taught bedside manners.

Today has been a disaster in terms of Johnny sleeping. For some reason he would not go to sleep for his nap this morning. Bedtime, getting up time and morning nap have been pretty well fixed for weeks now and it's the afternoon that is a bit of a hit or a miss, but today he just would not sleep when I put him back to bed. So, he's now fast asleep and I am going to have to wake him or else he won't sleep at bedtime. I also have hideous cracked nipple pain on one side. I dug out the pump and steriliser just in case I need to use it. I haven't used it since just after the New Year Shock HOpe I can remember how!!

Piggiesmum · 06/03/2006 21:43

RTL - sorry to hear about your weekend and what a stupid doctor. I agree with the others on your thread about complaining. Your dd has got a lovely smile. :)

Elf - Shock at Grandpa. Evie is a little cutie though :)

MB and YF - Congrats on your lo's rolling over. It must be catching. Ds rolled over for the first time on Saturday. We both saw it and must admit we got a bit over-excited. Ds must think he has a couple of loonies for parents. He gets himself stuck occasionally and puts so much effort into rolling over that sometimes he makes himself sick which seems to bother me more than him.

I am trying to get ds to sleep through the night. I'm fairly sure he could and is only waking out of habit at 3.00am because when he wakes at 7.00 he won't take a full feed. Trouble is feeding is a bit of a struggle at the moment so I don't know how successful I'll be, but I neeeeeeeeeeed some sleep :(

mummygow · 06/03/2006 22:20

Another roller - well done piggiesmum's lo.

Elf1981 · 07/03/2006 08:24

cant believe all the rolling around :)

Evie had the giggles yesterday, she was laughing at everything. DH thought it was really funny when he got home and was holding her and she was laughing at his glasses, when he tickled her, the sofa cushions...

YOKEFLEET · 07/03/2006 09:39

babies giggles are the best sound ever!! Grin
Thomas is now singing along to his lulaby night light in his own way!!

mawbroon · 07/03/2006 09:53

Oh dear. I sense another disaster sleeping day coming on. I'm thinking of moving Johnny's morning naptime from 9am (which has been very successful up until the last couple of days) to 10am. He is wailing the house down at the moment. Sad He is knackered. He NEEDS to sleep but I'm sure there are other things that he would rather do. Oh well, just have to play it by ear again today....

mummygow · 07/03/2006 10:23

mb has he went to sleep yet? Hope your daye gets better Smile

YOKEFLEET · 07/03/2006 10:35

mawbroon hope Jonny has settled down

mawbroon · 07/03/2006 12:05

He finally went to sleep at 10.10am for a whole 25 mins. We have had some tummy time and then a long feed. Thats the end of tummy time though because he just flips over onto his back now. I love the way that he tips his head over and uses the weight of it to help him over. He obviously has a good understanding of physics already. WinkGrin
