Morning! Well I did Kate evening shift so got to bed at half 11 which was pretty good. However I got woken about an hour later not by the LO but by some delightful boys and girls outside screaming and shouting at one another and walking up the middle of the road causing the cars to sound their horns! DH wouldn't let me call police so just had to vent silently until eventually riot van etc appeared. What a lovely place we live, thank goodness someone wasn't worried about 'getting involved'!

DH has now just got up to do the next feed, bless the LO going nearly 6 hours again so I'm just off to try get some more zzzz!

bennybenbear · 28/01/2012 04:15

Late not Kate, who's Kate?! Lol!

Morning

Well he's gone from about 11 to 5 again which is fab need to bring his bedtime forward me thinks as he's been up at 5 since Monday. Well technically I heard him kicking around his basket at 4 then must have fallen asleep again. It's strange he doesn't cry in the night fir food yet does all day and evening if you can't get it down him quick enough.

plutocrap · 28/01/2012 05:29

I'm sure night feeds used to take less time than this. I've just finished all but the last episode of MAS*H, and am pretty ssure DS was about 3 months before I reacged this point with him!

plutocrap · 28/01/2012 05:30

Congrats, figgy, what a good boy! Smile

hawthers · 28/01/2012 05:36

Ds has just gone from 12.30 to 4.40. 4 hours of continuous sleep - praise the lord. Now if only I could stop worrying that he has gone too long I'd be able to enjoy it!

In other news ds1 is having some slightly better times. Had to put him to bed whilst bfing ds2 last night a Dh was out and told him he was gorgeous, his response was no mummy gorgeous we Grin

plutocrap · 28/01/2012 05:45

That's brilliant, hawthers. It'xslovely to yhear you sounding happier Smile

DarcieandSkysmum · 28/01/2012 07:34

Well Done Air Smile

Hawthers That is lovely Smile

DP went out last night for a friends birthday. Darcie was at my mums for the night, so was just me & Sky. She had a feed at 8pm slept to 12:30am. Didn't drink much of her bottle then and woke at 4:30am finished 4oz of next bottle. And slept till 7:15 this morning. Now if she'd of finished her 12am bottle she would of slept thru, so we are getting there ladies Grin

LittleMissFlustered · 28/01/2012 07:36

High: there was no more vomit:o

Low: there was no more sleep:(

There may be a nana nap happening later:)

aethelfleda · 28/01/2012 09:34

DS finally dropped off at 5.15 ( having continuously fed and grumped since 3 something): but then slept until 9 so made up for it a bit (I slept, unfortunately dH was woken by the crying And couldn't get back to sleep)

Bear in mind that he's still only 3.5 weeks, so not going to go as long as your bigger LOs... Thank crunchie it's Saturday so I didn't have to get up for school run!!

LittleMissFlustered · 28/01/2012 09:43

aethel feeling the lack of sleep pain. Octopus boy has yakked up his milk twice since my last post. He is acting very like he was at birth, quite content, until hungry - then yakking up what he has taken. I'm hoping it's because he has a cough, but have to admit part of me just wants to run to the doctor with him as I'm paranoid his sugars are dropping again :(

HoneyLovesCake · 28/01/2012 09:51

Morning All

You ladies are amazing. I am embarrassingly knackered. Honestly, I don't know how I'd manage if I wasn't co-sleeping. I can't think of anything worse than getting out of bed in the wee hours. For the 1st few weeks I did get up for nappy changes but now I just do them in bed [lazy mum emoticon] Last night was a bad night for us as DS woke more often than usual but I honestly don't know how often as I just shove a boob in his direction & try to get back to sleep...you lot put me to shame Blush

LittleMissFlustered · 28/01/2012 10:12

I couldn't co-sleep if I tried. I hate sharing my bed, it's my space. I'd much rather get up than have to deal with having someone in bed with me:) Plus, when kids are yakking, it's much easier to change crib/cot sheets than bed sheets:o

HoneyLovesCake · 28/01/2012 10:34

Have to admit I could happily kick DP out of bed some nights; he takes up far to much room Grin but I love sharing with DS; he's lovely & snuggly & keeps me warm. We sleep on a little towel or baby blanket with a spare in the bedside crib in case he's sick. After all the trouble I went to to get the gorgeous BabyBay it's become an oversized bedside table Blush

LittleMissFlustered · 28/01/2012 11:10

Heh heh heh. Octopus boy has a crib and when not ill is starting to sleep ok in it:)

I just got some laundry out, it's quite bright here at the minute. Have got the stuff from last night in to wash right now, the delightful cottage cheese-esque stuff that my beautiful son yakked up for me is currently doing battle with the non-bio and a 50 degree wash:)

sevenswansaswimming · 28/01/2012 11:49

Morning.

Glad some babies are getting the hang of night-time sleeping. Eva had a feed at 12.30 then not again until 7am where she had 240ml!! She was asleep on me on the sofa from 3.30 though. I just need to find a way to make her more settled in her crib then we'll be there.

Going out for a friends birthday dinner tonight, the first time I've left Eva longer than going to the shop. I wonder how long it'll be before I'm desperate to get home!

NorthernChinchilla · 28/01/2012 12:02

HLCC I'm the same...DS is currently waking every two hours or so (after a three hour grump/yell/squirm-a-thon which is making the evenings SUCH fun at the moment) and I wouldn't cope if we weren't co-sleeping. It's just us two however, as OH is a smoker so can't share. I just look at the time, sigh, and shove a boob in DS's general direction...

He's still full of snot (or 'post viral mucus' in your lovely Doc's phrase!) so that's not helping either.

And can someone tell my DP that when you have a 6.5 week old child, that your partner is sleeping with and doing all of the night feeds, and she hasn't had more than four hours unbroken sleep since last year, and is currently getting two hours at a go and has been wearing child in sling since 8.30am when he woke with the snot-grumpies....
...that sleeping in til 11.15 am Shock and then coming down claiming to be knackered Shock is NOT ON, no matter how crap a day at work you had.

The only reason I didn't kick his arse out of bed is that I couldn't be bothered to trudge two floors up wearing DS (and I had the first of the new Time Team series to watch)

Glad you're sounding brighter hawthers and that your DS is coming out with some accurate pronouncements! Smile

aethelfleda · 28/01/2012 12:28

Hooray for those mums getting some sleep and for all of us with not so much yet!

We have a moses basket on the floor next to the futon (which is very low) so actually I don't need to get put of bed in the night unless DS needs a change or I run out of water (2 pints a night required at the mo!
And sometimes we cosleep too, albeit with an enormous bath towel on the futon to guard against leaks!

mopsytop · 28/01/2012 17:10

About five hours on and off last night so
Not that great. Feeling quite tired! Oh my god, poo explosion earlier! How can one small baby contain so much
poo?!

MissRee · 28/01/2012 17:19

I have decided that pampers nappies are RUBBISH!!!! Huggies are much better when it comes to leaks. Freya had a teeny poop earlier and the pampers still leaked Sad on our third change of clothes today!

sevenswansaswimming · 28/01/2012 17:34

missree asda have a baby event on, huggies newborn £8 per box and huggies SuperDry £11.98 each or 2 boxes for £14! Free delivery from asda direct when you spend over £15 on baby stuff, enter BABY12 at checkout.

MAJOR STRESSY MUM HERE!!

Saul is still only taking around 100ml a feed (he is 8 weeks now), i tried him on 4 hourly feeds yesterday to see if he would take more, but he didn't :(

Really worried about how little he is eating
GP and HV were crap, and didn't listen to any of his symptoms
Now OH and I are arguing as he keeps saying "he is fine, the GP said babies don't have allergies"

I spoke to a private health visitor who agrees with me and thinks he is allergic to the protein in cows milk, and needs hypoallergenic milk from the docs

Problem is today, even though he isn' eating any more, he hasn't been screaming all day/ throwing himself around

SO now i'mback to square 1 with why he has stopped eating :(
