Punches????Hmm You've had a name change and you don't even know it!! Head is up arse today! :)

chillikat · 22/02/2012 16:43

M did settle in her cot last night! After the story she got upset, had hugs to calm her then the lightshow put on and she fell asleep when it finished! DH was very pleased with himself. M woke after 45 minutes and had BF to resettle, then wake ups again at 1.20 and 4.20 (that one took an hour!) but at least it wasn't 5.30-6 and I got to sleep wil 8! Lovely. I've felt much more human today :)

Punchthosecalories · 22/02/2012 16:57

Chilli Glad to hear it. I think getting a nights sleep makes everything so much better!

NBG I know what my gran would have said to you "What's for ye 'll naw gea by yee" Time will tell though.

Starshaped · 23/02/2012 00:35

Urgh. Rubbish night here, definitely the worst for a while. We're on the fifth wake up in the last two hours.

I thought it was tooth related but the magic pink stuff hasn't made the slightest bit of difference. I fear it's going to be a long one

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 23/02/2012 18:34

Tis quiet here ...........

It was a beautiful day of sunshine today and it was a heady 16 degrees! I had forgotten how much sun lifts my mood.

Anybody got anything interesting to report? Because I haven't Grin

Fraktal · 23/02/2012 19:12

Um M did a poo in the bath?

Punchthosecalories · 23/02/2012 19:14

Just R standing from squat again unsupported the interview folk still haven't called

GlaikitFizzog · 23/02/2012 20:33

May have been quiet here, but do you know where it wasn't quiet?Huh huh, do ya?? Asda, this evening. My trolley wheel had a squeak. I was really looking forward to going and doing a leisurely stroll round, browsing the clothes, having a neb around the homestuff. But no! My nerves were shredded, it only started squeaking once loaded with stuff and I couldn't be arsed going and changing it. I swear people were avoiding following me round so they didn't have to listen to it! I gave up half way round. Doing the shopping myself is part of my "get out and do stuff by myself" plan. I'll be taking my oil can next time!!

B has pooed in the bath too many times to mention Frak :o!

I'm now having the nutritious snack of breadstickks and nutella!!!

chillikat · 23/02/2012 20:58

M just threw up everywhere as DH was getting her dressed for bed. So, back into the bath.... and threw up again as I was writing that, another rinse off, change of clothes and bedding... Worryingly she was still lying on her back throwing up in bed. I'm glad I went in to see what the funny noise was.
I hope that's it now and it's not a vomity bug. Just remembered she was playing around the kitchen bin earlier.
Otherwise, we've been to the park today and looked at chicks, peacocks, llamas and wallabies.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 23/02/2012 22:52

I have something interesting to report, but I'm only going to whisper it.

T seems to have learnt to sleep

8-7am with one quick wake up, 3 nights in a row. And a 2 hour nap in his cot every day.

ShockShockShock

The extra sleep has made me tired though, because I'm no longer hanging on by a thread I think.

We are away this weekend though, so that will probably bugger it up. Grin

GlaikitFizzog · 23/02/2012 23:01

Yay go T!!

OP posts:
ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 24/02/2012 08:02

See, I knew there would some interesting news! Poo's in the bath, vomitting (I hope M is better btw),a squeaky trolley, a sleeping baby and a standing baby.

I know what you mean about the extra sleep Ali, baby I's sleep has really improved in the last month. But both of us (and dh in particular) have just been craving even more sleep Confused

Do you reckon Aussiemum is enjoying Oz? Golden sands, sunshine, the outdoor life? Envy

I am looking forward to the better weather and being able to shove the kids outside into the garden. Although, having I scrabbling around in the veg patch and Borders and attempting to scale the climbing frame will probably have me tearing my hair out!

NotBobbysGirl · 24/02/2012 09:16

POAS news......................................................................................................drum roll please..........................................................

It was negative!! Yay! Grin

Still having weird cramps tho but guess I'm just having a weird cycle this month!

JKSLtd · 24/02/2012 09:32

Phew NBG :)

ILike - was just thinking the same about AussieMum yesterday, only slightly jealous of lovely sunny warm weather! Though it was lovely yesterday, a hint of what is to come, I hate winter and love seeing signs of spring.

DD up earlier than usual and grumpy with it, fun. Meant to be going to a PTA AGM/coffee morning in a minute, sure we will have to abandon early once she starts shouting.
Then meant to be at a BF follow-up thing after my course but have said I porb won't make it, as hopefully DD will be napping.

I want to try out my new cake tins from Lakeland so want her to have nice loooong nap Grin

chillikat · 24/02/2012 10:29

Sadly I ended up sleeping on a mattress next to the cot. M was throwing up about every hour til 4am. Then slept til about 8. Gave her a feed but it came back within 15 minutes :( she's sleeping again now. Reusable nappies are very useful vomit catchers. I suppose it's just her turn - all her friends seem to have had the bug. I wonder if she picked it up at BF group on Wednesday as my friend texted this morning to say her baby had been up all night too.

Starshaped · 24/02/2012 10:34

Oh Chilli that sounds grim. I hope she feels a bit better soon and you both get a bit more sleep tonight.

GlaikitFizzog · 24/02/2012 13:55

Sad chilli it's a nightmare isn't it.

JKS What are you baking? I've dusted off all my cake stuff to strat practising for Bs birthday cake. I'm going to give a Mickey Mouse cake a go I think.

BLWers the Cheese and Spinach muffins from the cook book have gone down a treat here. Even I like them!! And they are very easy to make too!

I forgot to post to wish C a Happy 1st Birthday Jo. Hope you all had a lovely day :)

My appointment for my debrief is through, 20th March.

I bought B a baby walker today. I know they are the toy of the devil, but he's been using one at the CM and loves it, plus it was a bargain in Mothercare.

Also had a wee mooch around Primark and bought a few little bits for me! I love that shop!!

OP posts:
JKSLtd · 24/02/2012 14:03

Chilli - hope the puking has stopped.

Fizz - I'm doing a marble loaf cake. I made it last week & it was good but I realised once I'd started that we'd recycled all the rusty cake tins, including the loaf tin so it got bunged into something inappropriate!
Then bought some lovely new stuff from Lakeland and couldn't wait to try them out
It has a lovely butter+milk type icing for the top with (supposedly) drizzled melted white choc on top but my drizzling went a a tad awry last week, any tips?

DD loves her walker - she is a nightmare in a fun way in it - loves to play with the bin liner Hmm and the kindling basket. Not ideal. But she loves the freedom to move about a bit, esp as she's a lazyarse laidback baby who can't move any other way yet.

Last puke about noon. She's just had some toast and porridge for lunch before she stole my sandwich so I'm hoping it stays down. She's napping now so I'm going to get a Brew. The washing machine will be kept busy for a while.

Punchthosecalories · 24/02/2012 15:13

R was 9 1/2lb from what I remember :D

Happy belated birthday to your C Jo!
I think out of our regulars R will be the last to have her birthday.

Chilli sounds like you're having a really tough time :(

Fizz Hope you've managed to have a sit down with your notes. You've plenty time before the twentieth.

You don't sad at all JKS Envy. I love getting new domestic stuff Grin Although all this talk about cake is a fresh hell of torture for me as I'm on a much needed coz I'm too porky for my liking diet.

chillikat · 24/02/2012 15:59

I'm not too bad. Pity it happened just as we might have been getting somewhere with the self settling. She's still napping and I'm beginning to feel guilty for not doing something useful. The minute I start she'll wake up (or puke).

GlaikitFizzog · 24/02/2012 16:14

Is it just normal white choc you are drizzling? If so, usually just melt it then put it in a food/sandwich bag and snip the tiniest bit off the corner and let it drizzle. Cake sounds lovely! I get the excitment of getting new cooking stuff too!!

I need to speak to someone about getting my notes Punch. HV doesn't know how to go about it and Cons secretary hasn't gotten back to me yet.

OP posts:
Punchthosecalories · 24/02/2012 16:50

I meant to say earlier: DH got the dreaded rejection email sadly :(

Onwards and upwards and all that

NotBobbysGirl · 24/02/2012 17:19

Aww that's crap for you & your DH Punch :( I'm sure something equally as good will come up soon.

Fizz I can't believe your HV doesn't know how to get hold of your notes Confused sounds like you're having to do a lot of the leg work there! Hope the debrief goes well though and it helps you feel a bit better about everything :) I love primark too although I did notice some nice things in Tesco's yesterday, pity my new part-time wage doesn't really allow for much spending on myself!!

Chilli Hope M's feeling a bit better soon, it's horrible when they're ill and there's not much you can do for them.

Happy belated birthday to C from me & R too :) Hope he had a lovely day!

Re: birthday cakes, one of the girls at our toddler group bakes amazing cakes so I have asked her to do rose topped cupcakes for R's birthday, will try and link the picture on my fb page if you want to see, they look lovely! I am just soo not a baking type person so I'm cheating!!

Well today's my last day off until next Saturday now really don't feel like I've reduced my hours at all as they keep linking my 4 days 1 week to the 4 days of the next week so often working 6 day stretches :( although I suppose it's better than the 8 & 10 days I used to have to do.
