Hi All, I thought I'd start a new 2006 thread for the October 2004 Mummies and Babies.

OP posts:

cazzybabs · 10/06/2006 20:57

jbadgirl · 12/06/2006 17:42

Finally got a wedding pic on here. Had to use my phone so its not that good, but hey i did it!!!!

biglips · 12/06/2006 19:57

where! where! where!

jbadgirl · 13/06/2006 16:38

Finally a wedding pic (if it works)

That is the thread title, cant do a link!

biglips · 13/06/2006 21:55

ill chase it up in a bit

well DD is very verbals nowadays using proper words as she can put 3 words together eg open the door (her stairgate!!), there you are, here you are, me, on the verge of saying milk as she say "Mil", go outside, on my bike, cant remember much more as all the rest is just babble

maisiemog · 15/06/2006 00:58

That's really good biglips, she is progressing really well.
Alfie is still a bit incomprehensible, but can say 'whoops!' I think he has heard me say it and now when he slips or something he says it. It's funny what they pick up, I'm glad he doesn't fall over and say s**t which is possible too. Shock
There's a song on Cbeebies about celebrating, with a little girl leading a parade of little kids. I think it's got something to do with the Spring. [blank expression] [shrugs]
I can't stop singing it. It goes 'jump up jump up' dadadadada (see I've learnt the words) anyway yesterday I kept singing it over and over and over and then Alfie sang it, not the words, but he copied the tune and he sounded like a little mouse singing. It was very cute and in tune, which is a relief. It would be funny if he was completely off key.

DS is extremely verbal too. Had his mate in the car today and they are a right pair of plane / train / car spotters. DS is going to fall over one of these days in his eagerness to look at airplanes, spose its not such a problem if you don't live near an airport!

biglips · 15/06/2006 18:19

BUT

her fave word is ""NNNOOOOOO!!" - hhmmmm well we'll see!

KathH · 15/06/2006 19:47

masiemog - to my shame I've been going round at work singing it which is fine until I find myself making my "wings" go up and down a bit!

maisiemog · 18/06/2006 00:34

Haha Kath!! Is that the bit where it goes
'everybody do two birds, cheep cheep'
Had Alfie down at his grandparents in the countryside today, he just didn't stop the whole day 12 hours of running around, no naps, run run run run!!
How is Moley getting on Kath? What's he been up to??Smile

It's been a bit more overcast in Edinburgh the past two days, which I actually like (mad woman). I get so fed up with all the sun cream and hats that fly off every two minutes. Alfie always rubs the sun cream into his eyes, and will not hold still whilst I try to apply cream. And that whole apply 20 minutes before going into the sun thing huh! Yeah I'd like to see the inventors of sun cream do that with their kids and see how easy it is to plan 20 minutes ahead with a toddler destroying the house.
Do you find they just don't stop at the moment. You tidy up one mess and they've made another five somewhere else and everything goes missing.
I keep finding things (remote control, toothbrushes, contact lens container) in Alfie's toy basket!! Shock

Hi everyone, it's been raining, but really horrible and humid and clammy, I'm too hot. Wah!
I feel tired all the time at the moment. Is it just having a toddler do you think??

OP posts:
maisiemog · 19/06/2006 19:23

Me again.
I've just put Alfie to bed after no naps at all today, he went to sleep at 6:30 (very tired tot). Which is a record early bedtime for him. He'll probably wake up at 8:30. Grin

Grace us sat on lap drinking peppermint tea - that girl has strage taste!

WE went to a fair on Sat and Grace went on all the rides dd1 went on! She is a nutter!

Also she seems to be learning a word a day at the mo - her lastest word in chocolate (after Father'a day) and she says a really good Hello - I often need to think who is speaking!

maisiemog · 20/06/2006 22:00

Has anyone still got long hair??
Mine is below my shoulder blades now and totally tangled, and Alfie pulls it all the time. Shock But I still love it. Boohoo!

biglips · 24/06/2006 22:50

DD and SD

DD loves posing

cazzybabs · 24/06/2006 23:08

Biglips your dd is sooo cute..she looks dead grown up...

here are photos of my 2

Just watched the Constant Gardner - don't watch terrible film sobbed right the way through it about the terrible things that do in Africa (OK its fiction but you imagine it happening!)

biglips · 24/06/2006 23:14

cazzy - there are gorgeous piccys of your little ones.. i can see that your Grace hair is growing well as DD sort of got a straight afro atm as its curly atm back and very wavy on the top and sticks up!! so cute!

is any little one is having a terrible twos!! as mine got abit as esp foods as she want it in her own way and kicking and smacking my face and saying No!! (snarl!) but it only when she is tired she is hard work but otherwise she is a good girl!

cazzybabs · 25/06/2006 09:02

Still thinking about the constant gardner! It was a really depressing thinking film - I love those kind of films!

we will also have the terrible 2s here - Grace hits when she doesn't get her own way and has a pouting face!

maisiemog · 25/06/2006 21:50

Heehee! They are ALL gorgeous. Grace's hair IS coming in now isn't it. I think Alfie is the only baldie left now. Poor old thing I'll have to buy him a hat for when he starts school.
Tweenie is a big girl, she looks so much like a little girl now.
Alfie is slapping and kicking as well now, and recently added headbutting to his repertoire. I thought it was a bit funny sometimes, but I'm adopting a zero tolerance approach now, because I can't relax sometimes in case he slaps me in the face. I'm dreading the first time he hits someone elses kid.
How old is your SD biglips, they look very similar don't they?

OP posts:
biglips · 26/06/2006 08:37

my sd is 7 ans she also got another half sister (her mums dd) who is just turned 3

SD is an angel

KathH · 26/06/2006 21:25

Evening all - not had much to say lately but have been lurking!

Moley finally had his hair cut t'other day. He was surprisingly well behaved, he didnt move a muscle until a song came on the radio that he liked & he started jigging about on my knee.

He's having major strops at the moment, he pulls great handfuls of hair if you're foolish enough to let him get near when he's having a paddy!

He's been forced to watch the football by ds1 & dh - ds1 sat & explained the off side rule to him - he was suitably unimpressed. He puts his arms in the air and shouts goal (moley that is not dh!) although obviously watching England this doesnt happen that often!

He's talking loads now but is still not sleeping properly - the other nite tho he managed 8.30pm - 9.15am, I nearly had heart failure tho when I woke up and realised what the time was. Guess he cant win!

Having major probs with dd1 who's 13 so moley seems like a piece of cake at the moment!

cazzybabs · 26/06/2006 21:37

OH Kath hope your ds1 is OK. Am not looking forward to the teenage bit...maybe I can send them away to boarding school from the ages of about 7-18!

We got all our wedding presses today - so am drowning under a sea of plastic packaging!
