  1. im enjoying being with DD
  2. no money
  3. i want to wait till DD is 3 and ill hope to have one by then
maisiemog · 07/04/2006 23:16

Aaah you look so lovely Cazzy, I love your dress. I'm glad it cleared up after the ceremony, and you got a bit of sun.
Is that Grace being carried about by her Granny? She has that baldy look that Alfie shares. Grin Very cute!!
It looks like it was a lovely day, and you know millllllllions of people. I hope you got huge stacks of pressies. Are you off now then?
I don't know what you were on about saying the dress wouldn't fit, you look super slim.
Very impressed that Baba can sing Twinkle Twinkle Biglips.
Jbad, Toby is a little star smiling at everyone, he'll be a popular baby. When he has the leg brace things on what happens next. I hope you are having a nice beer after a week of being the manager. Grin
Geo, I hope that the medicine helps little geog, he sounds like quite a character. How long does he have to take it for? It must be a real pain this thing dragging on.
Kath I don't think there's any need to say bugger that many times. WinkGrin How's Moley getting on? What's his favourite toy?
I want to buy Alf a toy, because his birthday is sooo far away, but I don't know what to get. Any advice?
It has to be from ELC because we have vouchers.
Oh yes Biglips broody woman, we are thinking about number two baby as well, but not until Summer, I'm trying to carry out our plan about not being too hot this time. Grin

biglips · 07/04/2006 23:20

lol!!!

but whats funny is that ive never been a broody person at all till i had my DD! as im 31 now and didnt want a baby cos i wasnt broody as time was never right!

geogteach · 09/04/2006 19:28

Whats Alfie into Masie, feels like we have the whole of early learning in our house so i'm sure i could advise! Baby geog is a boys boy and likes his cars so the click clack track is good and the tractor that goes and the aeroplane. DS1 was more of a domestic god so loves his hoover, tea set, toy food etc. Summer is coming (aparently) so how about a sand table or a bubble machine so he can chase bubbles round the garden?

biglips · 09/04/2006 20:05

Geog - DD is into everything as she loves playing boys toys and now if i bring out the hoover.. she start sobbing cos she wants to hoover up too!! and also loves putting the dirty washing in the machine - keep it up girl!!! Wink

Went to my Nieces 1st bday party today (Brothers DD) so DD was entertaining the crowd as usual!!! Grin

maisiemog · 09/04/2006 20:19

Geog, I was looking at the click clack track, wondering how long he would play with it for. He loves anything with wheels, including his pram.
I was kind of thinking of a toddle truck, because he loves putting things into his small lorry and pushing them up the hall?? Loads of fun?
He likes helping me clean, so I want to encourage that. Grin
He has a cool bubble thingy, and a paddling pool for outside.
I am thinking about a rocking thing, like a horse or something. He tried that rocking reindeer thing at Ikea and we couldn't get him off.
I've heard great things about the toy kitchens as well, he certainly loves taking tins out of our kitchen cupboards and stacking them.
Hmmm!
And any buttons.
It's tricky we only have £30 left of vouchers now and I dont want to go too much over that.

OP posts:
maisiemog · 09/04/2006 20:25

Is there any improvement in little geog yet?

OP posts:
geogteach · 10/04/2006 19:13

Toddle truck is a big hit here at the moment as I have relented from mean mummy mode and let it out of the garage, rocker is currently still in the garage. Kitchen I have resisted largely (you may be detetecting a theme here) beceause big toys do my head in and I go on the idea of what would they play with at toddlers / other peoples houses if they had a kitchen at home Smile
Its DS1's birthday today and we have the new house / slide arriving from ELC!
Baby geog is in rude health as usual, still no test results and the contents of his nappy is variable though the most regular he has been since birth - sorry tmi Grin

maisiemog · 12/04/2006 13:44

I'm glad to hear that littlegeog is doing well. I like the idea of a toddle truck, I'm sure it would get a lot of use.
We already have a wheelybug (ow! my ankles!)a nemo ride-on thing that we inherited and a push along hippo, so I'm not that keen to get another big wheely thing.
I think he would love a kitchen, but as you say, they are quite big and I'm struggling to put away the stuff we have at night.
I'll have to mull it over.
My mum is thinking about buying him one of those little car things that you get in supermarkets as trolleys. OMG! Well she can keep it at her house, because there's no way that's going to fit in here with all the other stuff.
We are also overflowing with clothes. Bought far too many when he was diddy and am now paying the price.
He can go through Summer with two pairs of shorts and a couple of t-shirts, keep the washing down. Grin

geogteach · 12/04/2006 19:47

Spoke too soon he has vomed on me today but the really big news is he has SHOES, yes baby geog has finally decided to join the land of the upright and WALK.

KathH · 12/04/2006 20:40

well done baby geog! Sorry to hear about all his poorlies - moley had reflux till he was about a year and was constantly puking so you have my sympathy!

Ordered moley a kitchen today off the early learning website, yes its huge but hey, whats one more huge toy I havent really got room for!

Have mil coming tomorrow for Easter - rashly invited her back in February in a moment of stella induced generosity & have regretted it ever since!

Moley actually slept thru for a whole week last week, had a panic on Sunday morning when at 8.45 he was still asleep but we're back to crappy sleeping again this week.

maisiemog · 12/04/2006 22:54

What do you mean Moley slept for a week - he must have been VERY tired. Grin
We are still putting Alf back to bed, only 8 times tonight. He was soo tired that he was lying on the floor looking through the doorway at dp on his computer. This was an hour before bedtime.
Let us know about the kitchen.

maisiemog · 12/04/2006 22:55

Yay Little Geog!!!
What happened? Did he spot an Easter Egg slightly out of reach?

OP posts:
biglips · 13/04/2006 21:34

Grin @ maisie.....

i gave my dd a yoghurt and a spoon... came back 5 mins later as went to the loo and the yoghurt was "all gone" by my DD... it didnt go anywhere her mouth. the whole lot went on her head - hhhmmmm!!!.... i was trying to be annoyed but i has to run out in the hall way to laugh and even Dp was laughing too Grin.. i tried to get it off with baby wipes but the yoghurt was cremeted into her hair so it was "BATH" time!! Grin

maisiemog · 13/04/2006 22:45

Hi Biglips, where have you been??
You are so brave giving tweenie the spoon and leaving her.Shock
I just let Alf feed himself finger things. He makes a mess with spoons.
How's the nursery going?
How's the job hunt. I hope you aren't working as a gogo dancer. Wink

IslaAndMomma · 16/04/2006 18:17

Happy Easter everyone! Isla has demolished her 'choc-chit' ducky! He looks a little sorry for himself; missing beak, feet and wings.

I havent been on for ages, and not had chance to read thru the hundreds of posts right now - i'll have to come back on later.

Not much news to tell. Tantrums are getting worse (and funnier - tho I do try not to laff). The word 'no' spurs her to drop on her front and scream - legs and fists going. I try to just ignore it and eventually she gets the message and gives up.

cazzybabs · 17/04/2006 10:26

Hi girls how are you? GRace is fine and seems to be learning about 2 words a minute at the moment.

I am gald others are broody - me I am hoping for a honey moon baby Grin..she says ignoring the ones she has so she can type on mumsnet! As for toys at the moment she likes drawing, drawing and more drawing its amazing. OHH that and chocolate eggs (not a toy mind you!).

Dp made me give up breastfeeing whilst we were away..and ever since I have got back I have been regreting it and crying. She is still tiny! And what makes it far worse I am still ptoducing milk 10 days on .

jbadgirl · 17/04/2006 11:34

Happy Easter everyone!

Wow another busy couple of weeks, been stand in manager for 2 weeks now and it is going to be another week this week. Things are going well, my final dress fitting is on saturday, bridesmaid on wednesday, been doing soo much as well as working and looking after ds!

Have a pead appointment in a week, will be discussing a gastrostomy, and any other updates on other appointments that we should get.

Toby is getting glasses this week hopefully too as his eyes have now improved enough that they think glasses may help.

He has been on reflux medicine too which is helping sometimes bt not all the time.

All set for the wedding but just need to get my passport for our honeymoon. I have given the vicar the form he needs to sign to say that he will be marrying us but just need to send it.

ONLY 3 WEEKS TO GO!!!

cazzybabs · 17/04/2006 11:39

Oh how much fun jbadgirl- although it does go so quickly. I remember the bay trees outside the church and my feet hurting at about midnight and not much more.

biglips · 17/04/2006 11:44

oooh!!! i wanna get married too preferably in a castle (or prob in a pubs back garden!! Grin)

i feel soooo sick as had too many Easter eggs - puke!! Sad

jbadgirl · 17/04/2006 12:10

I feel sick after stufffing my face yesterday, but i didnt get any easter eggs, just other forms of chocolate and sweets!
I am thinking that i may try and lay off the alcohol on the day as i dont wanna be bladdered!

biglips · 17/04/2006 12:19

jbad - you mean you will try NOT to get bladdered !! Grin as you need a first drink to calm your nerves!! as i would be having the whole bottle! (hic!)

KathH · 17/04/2006 21:37

Hello all - well mil now gone back home.

jbadgirl - glad to hear things going reasonably ok! What medicine is Toby on for his medicine for reflux - moley was on domperidone & ranatadine altho touch wood he's been ok for a while.

We bought the kitchen but after 2 days its already been relegated to playhouse in the garden as was sick of falling over various pots & pans.

Have the builders starting in a couple of weeks - we've having ds1's bedroom extended for moley to move into & an extra room downstairs, probably to accomodate moley's various clutter altho dh has ideas above his station & thinks we're going to have an office or utility room.

Still reasonably ok on sleeping front.

maisiemog · 17/04/2006 23:20

Cazzy I'm glad you enjoyed your honeymoon. You could always feed Grace again?
I'm still feeding Alfie about three to four times during the, when he goes to bed and when he wakes up.
Somedays he's such a little lump and wants to feed all the time - for comfort. I have to run away from him as he yanks at my clothes. Shock
He still doesn't make much sense, I can't really make out any clear words from him apart from mummy and daddy, the rest is a bit up for debate. I'm not sure if I should go to the HV and mention it. I'm still adjusting his development so that it runs from his due date, so he isn't 18 months until the 18th of May. I think at 18 months he should really say more than mummy and daddy.
Hopefully he will pick up a few words between now and then?
He's pretty advanced in his motor development, so maybe he's just being a boy and not bothering to learn to speak much. I notice the girls are doing a lot more talking - hee hee. Grin

OP posts:
maisiemog · 17/04/2006 23:22

Should have read that - I meant to say three or four times during the day, plus once at bedtime and once in the morning.
Mind you 'once' can last quite a long time at night time. He's not convinced it's bedtime when it's soo light. grr.
I think as they get older they need less sleep, so he should be on about 12 hours at 18 months.
How much sleep are the other babies all getting now they're older??
