Ah, that's where I'm lucky in that S is DH's blue-eyed boy and can therefore do no wrong whereas L seems to wind him up no end. I find L easier because we can look for things together and she chats away, S just wants constant snacks or he whinges!
Good move though, that's mainly why I've done so much this morning. I'm so tired I really just wanted to lie down and sleep but I'm trying to make it a positive thing so he'll take the children out again!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 10/12/2011 13:33

He is definitely the grey eyed blue eyed boy here.

Besides, I just walked the dogs and left E downstairs and W in bed - dh didn't even move away from his computer game. In fact he's barely moved from there since about 9am...

Chulita · 10/12/2011 13:43

DH is watching Mighty Machines or something about hovercrafts and L just told my mum that Angler fish have a little light on their heads that other fish come to eat and the Angler fish gobbles them up Confused I only told her that once over a month ago!

mlisc sometimes I do wonder if we married twins separated at birth, if DH gives me a lie-in I usually come down to Cbeebies for the DC and him on the PC! Grin

What time did he say he'd be back? Men don't think like that. They just amble along doing things in their own time and don't really think about how it might affect someone. Yanbu.

CakeandRoses · 10/12/2011 15:43

Wtf tsc?! Are you serious - you aren't bu fo'sho. I would perform a ballectomy for practices like that.

Am at cinema with dh, just for the film (hugo) to start. Bliss! DCs with my father, picking them up about 7 after their dinner so I won't need to cook later. Yeehaaa!

mlic fingers crossed your DH has them a bit more even if its just so you can get your shopping done easier, I find it stressful enough with just L!
tsc sounds like you have had a manic week, hope you get to have a chill now dh is back!
chulita shame about the meal, nice you got loads done though!

Ive been at work all day im so shattered and dh hadnt done any washing up, put last nights dishes away or even sorted L's bottles, I was fuming I would never leave all of those if I was home. Just had a curry now ready for bed.

L was up over 10 times last night he has cut a tooth on the bottom at the back, I really hope he sleeps im losing the will to live, I keep crying at everything!

WhatSheSaid · 10/12/2011 21:25

I had lots of gin and tonics at my friend's house last night and my head hurts a bit. I got to bed at 1.30, I don't feel too sleep-deprived though as dh got up with the kids at about 6.30 and I stayed in bed till 8 .

Hope your dh got back quickly tsc

The fridge lock is working great but G is getting incredibly frustrated at it and is going red in the face with the effort of trying to pull the fridge door open.

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/12/2011 08:10

memphis how annoying! I swear men do not see mess and things that need doing. Dh's job is to take the bin out and clean the bathrooms but I still need to tell him when to do them.

He's got a really bad pain down one side of his neck from sleeping funny on thurs night. He's on the phone to nhs direct atm, I think it might be a bad sprain.

Going to my mums for lunch today.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 11/12/2011 10:00

Well I rolled in at 2am this morning. After ending up at the local bloody lapdancing club. Where a 'dancer' was trying to recruit me Shock After telling my dh she thought he was 'a prick' for talking to his friend and not me! Interesting evening...

Thankfully I don't feel to bad this morning. Despite not getting to bed until after 2am and W waking crying twice between 4am and 5am. Yuk.

Decorating mam's tree for her this afternoon in return for a sunday dinner Xmas Smile

viksam · 11/12/2011 13:35

Hello everyone,
chu i felt so bad for you about the other night with your dh, what a shitter, glan you had a productive morning though.
mylife good call making it easy for dh with the one child, i do find doing little things like that eases the path to it happening again. Hope this is the start of something new for you and dh.
cake sounds like a nice night for you, what was the film like?
memph do u always get up with L or does dp ever do it, 10 times is loads poor you, will u get a rest today?
My parents came down on friday for a last weekend before the baby come and they wont be able to stop at ours. Unfortunatly D became really poorly on friday afternoon, i think he has a virus and he was running a major temp, i had to strip him off and sit in our room with him as its the coldest room in the house. Its his ears and throat its affecting and hes been in real pain, hes not running a temp any more but had an awfull night, i was up with him 6 times through the night, nice! DH went to brum on sat so i felt a bit sorry for myself having to look after D and my folks and i havent felt too good myself either. D is napping now but ive had to resettle him once already, poor boy, hes really not been himself for my folks and i think its been a bit stressfull for them too, just a waste of a weekend and such a shame seen as though its the last time i will see them before i become a mother of two!

memphis83 · 11/12/2011 14:23

mlic sounds like an interesting night, a lapdancer telling your DH he is a prick is a bit harsh!
viksam we share the get ups in the night but his screaming wakes us both up, feel bad for dh who has been up at 4am every day for work, he only woke 4 times last night and they were literally bottle or dummy back in rather than ages screaming so wasnt too bad then dh got up with him and let me lie in! But all this waking up is putting me off having another, I keep brushing ove the subject, my friend doesnt even know how many teeth her boy has as he nevers dribbles, cries or fusses, I felt very jealous.

Two weeks til christmas! I only send family and two friends cards but mark sends them to all his friends which means I have to buy and write them! DH is taking me CP for my birthday and Im going to London to watch a show with my mum, she is in London now with her friends and is feeling loads better, so much so she rang me from somewhere with heated seats sipping champagne! I wasnt jealous we were in Sainsburys and I was drinking a coconut latte!

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/12/2011 17:05

D is driving me crazy with his naps. He's still got a cold so I know he might not be as good as normal but he had 15 mins today! Bloody dreadful. Then he fell asleep in the car on the way home from my mums at half 4 for about 10 mins.

Chulita · 11/12/2011 19:32

Well, DH has gone for a week, neither of my two are sleeping well so I'm going to be shattered come Saturday!

memphis it will get better, you don't have to rush into another child, L only sleeps badly when her skin's acting up. She's usually fine at night now that all her teeth are through, it's a short time really!

dh S has been the same recently wrt naps but it's all cos he's not well, hopefully things will settle down soon.

mlisc what did you say to the recruiter? Grin maybe a little job on the side.

My parents are here and they don't have a tv so seriously, when they're here it's on the.whole.time. Drives me up the wall, I can't stand the thing blithering on all the time, and they watch stuff I'm really not interested in. When I ask them if they could turn it off they always try and convince me how it's interesting and I end up leaving them to it. It's lovely to have them here but I soooooo wish we had a tv room just for when they visit!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 11/12/2011 20:31

I politely declined the offer chul Xmas Wink Xmas Grin

Why don't they have a tv? I mean I understand people not wanting one, but then I would imagine that's because they don't want to watch it and therefore would also not want to watch it at someone else's house! Could you say you don't want it on all the time because you don't want the kids watching it all the time?

Sorry your weekend didn't go according to plan vik

Early night for me tonight, I'm pooped

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/12/2011 21:29

Little Mix!! Woop woop!

Yeah hopefully D will be better once his darn cold has gone.

viksam · 12/12/2011 08:14

dh im so out of touch i didnt know what you were saying about little mix! i do now as ive seen the news, im gona be a bad mom when the boys are into this sort of thing! Well D isnt up yet! it wasnt such a bad night in the end, up three times but settled straight away.
Its shocking weather today so god knows what we are going to do, not a lot proably. Supposed to be going out with friends from baby group tonight, i will go but not sure i feel like it! whats everyone else doing this week?

DesperateHousewife21 · 12/12/2011 09:00

Im not an avid fan of the show but do watch the final results and I quite like them.

It's really cold today but sunny. The group I go to on Monday's is having a Xmas party today so will be going to that.

D was better last night, he did come in our be at half 10 but he then slept pretty solidly til 7am.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 12/12/2011 12:22

I'm pleased Marcus didn't win

How'd you get on at the docs memph? Was it this morning your appointment?

Chulita · 12/12/2011 13:18

They have a tv for films and that but watch anything they find interesting online after it's shown. They don't want to spend the money for the little they can't get online but I think having tv on demand is a little too much for them!

We've got 2 christmas things to go to later in the week but otherwise I need to go to town for some bits it's horrendously busy this time of year but s'got to be done!

viksam · 12/12/2011 13:22

Where is everyone?
D's been a little devil this morning, he's obviously hungry but wont eat, sore throat i think although he's all fingers in mouth and dribble, he's got 16 teeth already he cant be getting any more, i cant see in and i cant feel anything, he cries out when he chews and swallowing looks like its uncomfortable. I thought about taking him to the docs but what are they going to do realistically, just say its a virus and send us away probably. Hes napping now thank god. im gona get my head down on the sofa i think, heres hoping he stays asleep!!

viksam · 12/12/2011 13:37

chu how u doing on your own? Must seem like a long time but i bet it will go quickly. How is S sleeping now? Does he still wake early? Are u getting around ok, i went for a walk this morning, because D was driving me mental, and i had to slow down to a snails pace in the end, i had horrific stich as well.

Chulita · 12/12/2011 13:56

viks I'm just driving everywhere, not ideal but at least it means we can get out!
This week will go, it'll be slow cos neither child is sleeping great at the mo but that's all part of it. He's got 2 weeks off afterwards so he can do the wake-ups for a couple of days. My parents just left this morning so I'm only now on my own. Mum got the children up and fed and brought me tea/toasted banana muffin in bed so I was thoroughly spoiled this morning Grin
If he gets a fever I'd take him in, I delayed for days with S only to find out he had tonsilitis poor mite!

memphis83 · 12/12/2011 16:58

mlic I had phone call from docs today the doc is ill so not in (pretty glad as I think she is shit at her job) so they said I could go and see someone else today but I know I would be waiting up to an hour to be seen or see the head of the surgery tomorrow so doing that he is more credible than the doc I was seeing.
chulita really hope this week goes ok for you, DH is away til at least wednesday this week so im with you for part of the week!
viksam when you due to pop again (sorry im so shit at dates and memory!)

Only just got in, been xmas shopping all day we got some gorgeous photos in a mini photo shoot of L will put them on when we get then in a few days, got myself a jumper and finished my shopping all I have to do is buy 2 photo frames from wilkos after work thursday and a gift box and some special cards and done! Took L's nappy off and he pooped all over the floor, lucky it was sort of solid! Mum's dog chewed a hole in his converse so mum bought him some retro adidas gazelles to match his dads and she bought me a recipe card storage tin that I asked for for xmas all my favourite recipes are on scraps of paper so i now get to write them up and put them in there

Got my meal for one and going to put L to bed and watch Harry Potter, DH phoned to say his phone had died and none of them had a charger between them so he has been given orders to buy one!
