Blush poor not porridge! Confused Grin

newmum001 · 24/11/2011 18:06

Grace has got 15 teeth now, her second bottom fang is coming through atm and she's really suffering with it! Then she's only got the back 4 and she's got a full set!

Cinnamon, I have no advice on the flap of gum but I think I remember lumpy had a similar problem with olly!

Aphra only has 5 teeth too, no molars - though I'm sure some more are really just about coming through, I haven't seen any new actual enamel poking through yet.

Poor old Luke. Sympathies for him all round!

newmum001 · 24/11/2011 20:18

ARGH can today get any worse, grace has been a clingy, whingy nightmare all day, I have been so stressed and now I've broken my big toe on my right foot! Well I don't think it's properly broken cause I can wiggle it a little bit but it hurts sooo bad and I can't put any weight on it. Tomorrow is going to be fun!

lumpylumps · 24/11/2011 20:18

Only 6 teeth here too & can't honestly remember about ds1. Ollys problem was ulcers newmum but well remembered Grin

Maia has 10 full teeth through and all the rest are poking out. She also had ulcers that capped the tooth just before it broke through, but they were more yellow in colour. Sorry probably not much help.

Sorry to hear about Luke, DS has both been bit and has bitten, found it equally horrible. Thankfully just the once.

newmum what you got going on tomorrow (sorry if Ive missed some important news Blush). Hope your big toe is feeling better. Sympathise with clingy toddler. I honestly thought the whole "child hanging round your legs thing" was a mytj till I had my own (a child that is).

newmum001 · 24/11/2011 20:59

Patito not doing anything tomorrow, just being sarcastic cause I can't put weight on my foot and I'm on my own with grace so I'm not looking forward to it!

It's friday yay!!! This has been a very looooong week! I forgot to tell you all. I was brave and went to my first mums and tots group on wednesday and grace loved it! She was so good and played really nicely with the other kids although there was a hairy moment when a little boy wanted to play with the pram grace liked! Then at the end when everyone had a sing and dance grace went and found a massive sweeping brush and swept the room Grin

My toe seems ok this morning which is a miracle cause it hurt really bad last night!

Hope your toe is ok newmum I hate hurting my feet!

Having an issue with milk! Jack won't touch cows milk or Aptamil toddler.... just want the follow stuff. Tried 50/50 and introducing slowly etc but he just won't have it! Do they really need much milk these days??

Really good friends had their baby boy yesterday! lumpy I swear she is smaller than you!!!! look and baby Finley weighed........... wait for it.......... 9lbs 4oz!!!!!! Can't quite believe it! Another sun roof escapee! Grin

Happy nearly December lovelies!! xxxx

cinnamongreyhound · 25/11/2011 10:08

Glad to hear your toe is better newmum001, how did you do it? Glad you enjoyed mum and tots, hopefully there are some nice mums who will chat to you once you become more familiar.

:( and Grin at you being busy beaditAli, think of all that lovely money! Ds1 never drank a lot of milk once I stopped feeding him (although I never tried a follow on), the guideline then was 1 pint a day but that inlcudes other dairy such as cheese and yogurt and he always had some milk with his breakfast. Even now he won't drink milk or even milkshakes, dss loves milk and so does Luke so I think it comes down to personal preference at this age. I got a leaflet from the EAT study when I was there about healthy eating for 1-5 year olds and they recommend 3 servings of dairy a day these include 120ml milk/1 slice of cheese/1 small yogurt so I'm sure Luke is having more than that!

Luke's flap of skin has gone and there is a tooth there and it already looks lots less swollen :). Just trying to decide what to do, one of my minded children asked yesterday if we could go to park but I'm resisting as I know Luke will fall asleep and I have a school run at 12.20, not very kind of me :(

cinnamongreyhound · 25/11/2011 11:20

I'm at the park and the sun is shining, lovely!

saoirse86 · 25/11/2011 21:12

beadit I think we all assumed you were very very busy! Don't worry about my order. I just need the one for my cousin's birthday on the 18th and the others for Christmas if possible. Smile

newmum i've made loads of good friends from mum and baby groups. Now none of us go to the actual groups, we just go to each other's houses for tea and cake, the park and the pub! (the pub is without the babies btw! Grin) Hopefully you'll meet some nice mums there, or at least enjoy a change of scenery and some other children for grace to play with.

We went to the park this afternoon cinnamon but it tipped it down so we had to go to the cafe and have tea. Oh well!

I met my sister and niece from the station (after not seeing them for 3 weeks) and we went to the german Market in town. It was so busy. I don't think we'll be attempting a frida night there again. Hmm

sassy34264 · 25/11/2011 23:05

cinnamongreyhound · 27/11/2011 08:50

I have a poorly boy :( he was sick around 5 last night then came out at 6 to ask what was for dinner, ate it all and was up at 2am and sick again. Still asleep now so we'll see what the day brings! Fingers crossed no one else gets it, I'm not very good with sick Confused

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend, dh worked most of yesterday and will be out at least 4 hours today do just enjoying some time with my boys. Was planning to swim today but not sure it's such a good idea now with ds1 being sick :(

patito · 27/11/2011 16:26

Hi

Just checking in. Maia had her 15 mth check up this week, (bit earlier but couldn´t do it on her month-day), she´s on the 25 Percentile for weight and 95th for height! DP took her and he had a wait of over an hour, he was booked in at 9:20 am, the nurse weighed her straight away but then her dr who does rest of check-up wasn´t even due in till 10 am! So whats the point of making a 9:20 appointment Angry. Its happened to me before and whats worse is that the sales guys from the drugs companies are there and poke their heads round the doors for asking for "2 minutes" with the Dr. If they want to sell there stuff fine but not on patients time! anyway rant over.

We´ve had a good weekend, Maia had a bit of temp on friday night but went away over night. We´ve been making a play rocket from a cardboard box (the pram box).

Debs75 · 27/11/2011 23:55

God I am shattered.
Lucy is finally asleep on DP's knee but I am having to stay up and wait till midnight to try and book a cheap rail ticket for next February. My eyes are on sticks and my legs have already gone to sleep. On the plus side I have seen a lovely pic that Sassy put up of the little one on facebook.
10 mins to go and I should hopefully have a cheap ticket to london

Debs75 · 29/11/2011 10:49

well staying up really late to get tickets was a waste of time. still not managed to get them as they are stupidly expensive. The cheapest we have seen are £91 each from Hull to London return. My dsis's friend goes regularly and last time spent £17.
And Lucy woke me up loads and DD2 got up at 6.30 so yesterday was spent in a fog of sleep. To top it off the heating broke yesterday so we were freezing last night

newmum001 · 29/11/2011 13:18

Debs have you tried redspottedhankie.com. I've never used it but saw an advert for it yesterday. It's cheap train tickets.

It is a long way but that's a lot of money Debs75!!! Hope you managed to catch up on some sleep!

I'd be annoyed too patito! Sounds like Maia is very long and slim!

ds1 was only sick once but has been going from absolutely fine to very lathargic and whingey and not eating and back again. Think he's just really tired, might keep him home tomorrow and see how he does, trouble is that he has to get up anyway as I have my minded little boy to school :(
