Lol. That's so funny! Yeah S wasnt so impressed and will no doubt get her own back on me when she is older but it's fun!!

PenguinArmy · 15/12/2011 15:42

I've posted some pics on fb to cheer myself up :)

DS has post jabs fever going 15hrs now, so had to do some checks to make sure everything alright and carry on dosing with calpol.

DDs fever (unrelated) has almost broken but she's still pretty tired and grumpy.

Landlady is due to visit for a random inspection in 30 mins and DD still hasn't had a nap.

I can fit my pre preg jeans now too, but don't know if it counts when you see the size of my muffin top over the waist of them Hmm - especially as they were my "baggy" jeans before. I still have 8kg to pre-preg weight, slowly does it ...

Penguin hope the fever goes down, I hated taking A for his shots and am dreading 3 month ones

mpops · 16/12/2011 07:12

Are 3 month jabs worse than the first lot? Eeek.

I'm so tired. D has been sleeping great at night but feeds what feels like every hour during the day. It's constant.

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 16/12/2011 09:54

Oh just realised I've not got a Xmas card for dh oops thanks tally (just catching up on thread)
I've got a cpl f shirts to pick up for dh and im finished! Think I've sai I'm finished about 10 times now then keep remembering something else I've forgotten Confused

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 16/12/2011 09:56

I am lower than pre pregnancy weight but somehow still seem to be fatter Confused how is that possible??

MamaMaiasaura · 16/12/2011 10:58

Been in pre preg jeans since j was 2 weeks but still like wearing my h&m cargo maternity trousers with band rolled down as so very comfy and they stay up. Ally jeans are on hip and keep riding down. Have ordered some leggings and jeggings in the hope they stay up. Tummy flabby tho ( from ds1 lol) Jessica out of some 0-3 outfits now, bit sad packing them away as my last baby

LittlePebble · 16/12/2011 12:05

Blush am still a stone over prepregnancy weight can fit into a couple of my jeans but very wobbly muffin top Blush

Very impressed by those of you who weigh less Envy

GroovyRach · 16/12/2011 12:56

I wasn't a skinny minny before pregnancy and was so sick for first 4 months so lost about 7lbs then. By end of pregnancy I had only put that 7lbs back on and 3lbs more. After I had her, I was loosing about 2lbs a day!! At my lowest, was 17lbs lighter than pre preg. I'm the lightest iv been now in a good few years. Friends wedding in April is my aim plus the fact I don't ever want to be weight I was pre Sophia days!! Tummy was very wobbly but is almost back to normal Blush

My girl is 11 weeks today Grin

Glad to be of service Edward!

Awen/Groovy so jealous... Still got a stone or so to lose Sad. Need to stop eating fudge. At least lunch was a bit healthier today than yesterday (spoonful (?) of fudge, choc chip bar and two party rings!)...Blush.

Seb is becoming a bit fussy at feeding times now. He gets a bit way through his bottle and starts fussing and crying and refusing the bottle. He's not finished the last 3 bottles. At first I thought it was wind but even after he's burped he's the same but now then I wondered if the flow was too slow and he;s getting frustrated (still on newborn teats) so I've moved to 1m+ teats. Anyone got any advice. He's 7weeks.

PenguinArmy · 16/12/2011 13:55

advice is to relax and trust he's taking what he needs. He could just be adjusting down after 6 week growth spurt. Is he being sick less, feeding more often?

OP posts:
MamaMaiasaura · 16/12/2011 14:30

Good advice penguin.

No idea on weight but I could def do with losing some. I carry fat on boobs and tummy. If I stopped eating crap I'd be ok... But mmmmm choc

TallyBear · 16/12/2011 14:39

Thanks PA. He's been quite sicky this morning, he had slowed down his sickness a bit up until now. He's very grouchy as well. I don't think he's having a huge amount more or feeding more often. Although he's just finished his next bottle (1m+ teat) no probs. We've now upped it to 150ml as he still seemed to be hungry after 120ml lately.

MrsP81 · 16/12/2011 16:13

I have a muffin top too, although it is shrinking I think. My pre preg baggy jeans are slowly becoming baggy again rather than digging in! I have half a stone to lose although not that fussed as I was slightly underweight anyway. Would just like to get back into shape.

DD has a bit of silent reflux. I was resisting going to doctors and was in denial but the post-feed screaming was getting worse and worse and she is clearly in pain. So we're trying out gaviscon which is a right faff when bf. We had a day off from it yesterday and it became clear that it had been doing some good so back on it. Does anybody have experience of gaviscon and bf? I'm finding it hard to know how much to actually give her over a 24hr period, I don't want to cram her full of drugs. Trial and error I guess.

Loving all the FB pics! Smile

PenguinArmy · 16/12/2011 17:45

MrsP Try the BF forum or the reflux support thread they have over there

DS seems to be poorly now, I'm assuming the post vac fever meant his immune system was lowered enough to let DDs illness in. He is coughing, not eating much and sounds hoarse and stuffy, but no temperature any more.

bilblio what did the GP say to you to look out for when yours was ill?

I had a terrible day yesterday. agreed to look after my friends two daughters (6 and 9) after school for a few hours as she had a meeting at work. i took S with me which was fine. they were both obv very excited to see her and wanted to hold/cuddle her etc. i explained that she still has a bit of a wobbly head so had to supported. younger girl was having a hold and was doing good, i turned round for a few seconds to get my phone to take photo and she was trying to get S to turn round so she could hold her over her shoulder! i almost had a heart attack! took S back saying she needed nappy changed etc so i could lay her down on floor. then later on, older girl was the same. she kept trying to move her and even tried to get up from the couch! by this point S was getting really tired and grumpy so i suggested a trip to asda as i knew she would fall asleep in car and walking around in her carseat in trolly. ended up she only dozed for 15 mins! so we get back to the house and she starts to get grumpy after a while. i was walking around with her etc but nothing was settling so i poped her back into car seat as i could rock her which i knew would work. nodded off and i told girls just to leave her to sleep for a bit or she would end up so over tired. lasted all of 10 mins and she was awake again! so come 6pm when my friend got back, S was in such a state Sad

on the drive home, i had to stop a few times to try get her to take dummy but she was having none of it. cant even have her in front with me as i cant turn off the passenger air bag! (ford want £200 to add the function to beable to do it Angry

by time we got to the house, i couldve cried for her. she wouldnt take any milk as she was in such a mess. after an hr, i finally managed to calm her down. gave her a nice warm bath and got her pjs on. she lay on her mat just looking at me with such sad eyes. i put her into her bed and she was out in 10 mins.

i felt terrible cos of how upset she was. it was a proper heartbreaking cry, but she had only had about 30 mins of sleep all day. never again will i be doing that with her. think it was just all to much!!!

anyway, that was a long post! props to whoever read to the end lol.

now i must go wake her. has been sleeping since 6 and if i dont wake her soon, it will be a long night tonight!!!

Penelope1980 · 16/12/2011 22:09

Your days sounds terrible groovy. Is she ok now?

I had a terrible day too. I accidentaly put something blue in the wash that ran so have lots of clothes that now have a greyish tinge that wasn't there before, am devastated about one item being ruined in particular. Then A did the biggest poo known to man while I was giving him free willy time and he managed to get it all over himself and his clothes before I got to him. The weather was pants for the third day in a row (it's supposed to be summer here), and A was a bit sick so didn't go down for a proper sleep all day until about 3pm. By then I was beside myself - it all improved after he had a decent sleep, but still. Feeling fine now but just felt like a moan really! Written like that it doesn't sound that bad, but it felt it at the time ...

bilblio · 16/12/2011 23:50

penguin the Dr said if the area below his ribs, or the gabs between his ribs were going in and out. Also if he's off his feeds, head bobbing or where he's obviously struggling to breathe then to get straight to the Dr's, Walk-in centre, or A&E.
Thankfully although he's still very crackly at times he doesn't seem to be any worse, and the injections don't seem to have bothered him.

Groovy what a horrible day. My niece does that, she really needs her sleep but she'll fight it then end up totally distraught. If only these children would learn that we really do know best (mostly) then everyone's life would be easier.

I went to see DD's nativity again today. They've done it for 2 mornings but I didn't want to miss either. :) They did "The Shining Signing Star" so it was all signed too. DD was a dove. Each child is meant to have 1 or 2 lines each, the other doves were too quiet and shy so DD did them all and ended up with more to say than Mary. Now I know why the teacher was so panicked on Monday when DD came home sick.
DD can be painfully shy, it was months before she spoke at nursery last year, so to see her on stage speaking and signing was amazing. All the kids were fantastic and the teacher sobbed throughout while conducting the first day.

The school doesn't have the best reputation, but it's fantastic really, it's just the area isn't that great. I heard several parents say they were really impressed by what the children had achieved, so hopefully that's a great start to their school life, and it shows the parents too what the kids are capable of too.

Right Seth has finally fallen asleep after feeding constantly all evening. DH went to bed ill at 8pm so now I'm going.

GroovyRach · 17/12/2011 00:00

penelope yeah she is ok now. The girls were just excited to see her but I guess didn't understand she still needed to nap. Just when I would get her to sleep, they would 'accidentally' shout so she would wake again Angry. It was just the look on her face after she had her bath and was all changed for bed. It was like 'oh thank goodness I am home, in my own house, all ready for bed'. Poor wee pet.

Can you not buy stuff that takes the wrong dye outta the clothes? I'm sure I've done that before. Think it was a powder u run thro the wash and it corrects it Smile

GroovyRach · 17/12/2011 00:37

Just wanted to share, I'm just watching S sleep thinking to myself 'wow, I created you' Smile. It's funny, I know and remember the exact night she was concieved. It was the last time me and ex 'done the deed' Grin. Who would've thought that if I hadn't seen him that night (which I wasn't ment to!) she wouldn't be here...

Think it's all starting to hit me that im some bodies mum!!!

bilblio · 17/12/2011 08:32

That's lovely groovy they are amazing little lumps aren't they. (well mine are lumps, you'll no doubt have other nicknames) that feeling doesn't go away either. I still look at DD 4 years on and can't believe she's mine or how lucky I am . Being a mum is flipping hard work, but it's the best thing on the world. :)

PenguinArmy · 17/12/2011 09:37

wonder if I should ring OOH then because he is definitely not eating as much

OP posts:
LittlePebble · 17/12/2011 09:50
