Lol sassy you read my mind re poo explosions and growth spurts

On exercise I have just started going to a trainer twice a week and zumba once - I'd like to start running again but not sure the scar us up to it so might try introducing a swim once a week - we'll see!! Hmm

BB3 · 30/11/2011 19:41

Oh it says I don't have permission to view the page but I'm on iPhone so may be that x

GroovyRach · 30/11/2011 19:41

BB3, what weight were your girls at birth? S was 6lbs 2, will be 10 wks on fri and is still in newborn/first size! She was weighed last Wednesday and was up to 9lbs 10. 0-3 clothes still drown her lol!

BB3 · 30/11/2011 19:45

groovy Edith-may was 5'11.5 and Ayse-Rose 6'1. These last two weeks I've seen a real jump in their size.

They are still far too big for them and they don't reach the foot bits of the baby gros and I fold the arms up a few times but the newborn ones are a bit too snug so have had to move them up. The next up to 1 month fit well but they're so expensive for basic baby gros!

no, i dont think its your iphone. im quite privacy conscious and have all my privacy settings on the most private possible! but i dont know which one it is that i need to switch off so you can see it. any ideas anyone?

with regards to the feeding and whether they are hungry or its wind- its soooo hard to tell. eva is my 4th and i cant tell. i usually find out by trying to pacify her and if she still crys after a while, i think, well she's still hungry. other times i'll feed her and then she throw up, and not just a little bit either! and then i'll think- ok, maybe she wasnt hungry after all. but then she bloody will be cos shes just thrown it all up!!!! it does get a bit better as time goes on cos you will learn to read them more, but at the beginning its just a trial and error- learning curve.

DD didn't get to 0-3 clothes until she was nearly 4 months despite weighing 6lbs 12 at birth. DS has kinda made the move now, he's fine for vests and babygro's, but trousers and tops not so great fit. In fact anyone else hate tops, they just ride up the whole time.

I don't feel like I can leave DS for 90 mins yet to go out to a class and can't do impact stuff. Guess I could at the weekend during the day, but I like weekends to be more free-flow. I had found a badminton group to try as well. I guess I could so a pilates DVD? but not sure if that's wise without a post-natal class since I'm new to it. I know I should probably just hold off to the new year but I'm itching to do something, itching I tell ya.

This afternoon I learnt that the one top up one top down approach to nursing clothes doesn't work when you're in a wrap sling.

sassy34264 · 30/11/2011 20:26

sassy34264 · 30/11/2011 20:27

penguin lovely pics.

ive put 3 on flickr. given up with fb.

TallyBear · 30/11/2011 20:28

Lol, I'm glad it's not just me with the exploding poo! We've had one with disposables but it only leaked a bit. The main problem then was a very wriggly baby meaning that, once the nappy was opened, it quickly went everywhere. This time it didn't need any help! It seems to be that the disposables have 'space' for poo whereas the reusable, especially with the liner, is so close to the skin there seems to be nowhere else for the poo to go but escape or spread out. Perhaps I will keep trying. I've got a mixed set from the Council for another week or so to try out.

Seb was weighed today (late attending drop-in due to poo!) and is 8.13lb now. He is already growing out of 0-3mth sleepsuits but he is quite long. I don't think they will last much longer, which is a shame as I've got loads of them (manly presents) and hardly any 3-6mth. He's only a month old!!

PenguinArmy · 30/11/2011 20:56

thanks for the lovely comments

still can't see those sassy on fb, at the bottom of the album should be this

Share this album with anyone by sending them this public link:

and underneath the appropriate link

tally he must be long then. You might find with disposables, he'll fit those clothes a little longer. There is a nappy section of MN that might be able to help?

Well mhairi is now 11lb 1oz and has just made the leap into 0-3 months from first size/newborn

I've Had my share of explosive poos too but the best/worst happened 10 mins ago, well this was more like a missile than explosion! I was changing M on my bed and she did a projectile poo while nappy was off it went all over me and past me all over my pillows. Not fun changing a bed at this time!!

I'm having a christmassy day today, Christopher is going to his gran's, Mhairi is going to have a nice sleepy morning FX! And I'm getting the Xmas music on and decs up Grin roll on hot chocolate and marshmallows for lunch Wink

I'm in awe of all you ladies getting to the gym etc, I still have a v v close relationship with the biscuit tin! Must sor that soon, I've actually put on more weight in the past 2 weeks! Shock

Wools went a bit mad with smileys there sorry Blush

LittlePebble · 01/12/2011 05:39

Oh Edward! I'm sorry I couldn't help but chuckle even though changing sheets at this time of night would be awful, it's just the visions of a missile poo attack!
Penguin gorgeous photos, Sassy I can't see yours of Eva either on fb.
I am celebrating a whole 51/2 hours in one go by Elijah! I've had 5hrs sleep and he's gone from half eleven until 5am long may it continue Grin. In fact had more trouble settling DP last night who seems to be having all sorts of abandonment issues Hmm!
Little fatty weighed in at 12lb 10 today a whole 4lbs since birth (6.3 weeks old) and he is definitely not fitting in his newborn stuff anymore I'm going to have to buy bigger sleepsuits as his feet are right at the end poor thing. He's getting those gorgeous baby creases on his chubby legs that are just edible...nom nom nom x

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 01/12/2011 06:52

I found it funny too dh didn't tho Grin

GroovyRach · 01/12/2011 08:34

I have 50 mins to get us both up, fed, dressed and out the door. Let the madness begin!! Grin

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 01/12/2011 08:45

Good luck groovy!

GroovyRach · 01/12/2011 09:11

S decides to sip her milk this morning instead of guzzling like normal, ahh! She is ready, I'm half ready. Why do they give 10am doc apps to new mums...!

sassy34264 · 01/12/2011 10:28

did anyone click on the dc's link?

does that not work eithet? Hmm

GroovyRach · 01/12/2011 11:49

Sassy, I tried but as I don't have a yahoo account, it wouldn't let me go any further

bilblio · 01/12/2011 12:00

sassy that link takes me to my flickr photos.

Lovely picture penguin

We've had a few exploding nappies. Edward I had a similar 5am one with DD once where she projectile poo'd down me just as I lifted her legs. I ended up in the shower that time.
Oh there was also the time we all had D&V, we were starting to feel better and needed to go shopping. DD had been fine all day, but DH ended up going and buying nappies and wipes while I stripped DD, she went round tescos wrapped in my fleece. Hmm
Seth has only needed a shower once so far, although I've taken to getting him in the shower with me anyway, he seems to really enjoy it, he screams when we get out though.
I found it depends on the nappy/baby shape. Pampers always leaked with DD and gave her nappy rash so I'm not trying them this time... I'm just cursing all the vouchers we get.

Seth has been in 0-3 clothes for a couple of weeks, and some of the babygro's look snug. He's 11lb 110z though at 7 weeks. He's obviously not struggling with the tongue tie, it's just me. It should get snipped next week.

penguin yep I agree about tops. That's why I love dungarees, they keep everything in place. Our house is cold too so he'll wear fasten up vests till he's at least 2. Seth only wear's "proper" clothes if we're going visiting. It's babygro's the rest of the time, but DD wants to know why he's always in his pyjama's :o
I hate socks too. What is the point?! They never stay on. I've dug out DD's old tights and he's wearing them instead. :o

GroovyRach · 01/12/2011 13:08

Well we made it out the door on time this morning!! Little S had her injections and 6 wk check. All looking gd! Doc commented on how strong her neck is already! She's gonna keep me in my toes, I just know it!

2 nights in a row now, I have had a full night sleep. S has been going down between 10.30 and 11pm then up around 9am the next day! Wee wimper around 5am last night. Got up and made bottle but she was back asleep by time it was ready! It's making such a difference, felt like a zombie through the day a few wks ago Sad

PenguinArmy · 01/12/2011 13:14

sassy i don't have the relevant account to see the flicker pictures either. There must be a public/share link somewhere on it though i'd have thought
