Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
ledkr · 24/10/2011 21:46

Come on you lot you know im a cougar, ive never really stopped dtd as you say so not really too boasty I have no idea how you all go so long tbh. Grin

reastie do not be intimidated, list your symptoms and how long you have been having them.Add in sleep probs and loss of appetite if you want to make an impact. If she's a beeeeeatch then ill get her Grin
Sounds like Alice is just having a bit of regression with her crawling starting.
Dilly just spends the day bashing her head and mouth when she stands up at stuff.
We took the girls swimming Dilly was mental, she kicked so much she was nearly asleep in the shower. She had a big sleep whilst we went for lunch it was lovely. She is so busy in the day she struggles to stay awake past 6.30 now.
Dh is working then straight to football tomorrw so me and Ella are going to pics and then she's sleeping in with me which she loves.

needto I hope you are ok soon and that B doesnt get it.

J apprentice is quitegood.Im looking forward to watching the walking dead in 15 mins too.

Phone nos to follow chocco.

chocoroo · 24/10/2011 21:58

To those of you who have never had a Krispy Kreme, I suggest you never start. I became addicted in London and having Selfridges on tap means I have them way too often. Dirty, horrible things.

needto Boo to lurgy. I hope you're all better soon.

ledkr and reastie I am amazed I have not lost ten stone with all the running around since R started crawling and cruising. Our house suddenly looks like one big baby danger. She keeps thumping the TV with her toys and screams the place down if I take my car keys off her.

wiggles R does the confused thing with the walker. She often then holds on with just one hand and it moves across our super skiddy floor and she bangs her head/leg/arm. Honestly I am thinking of just getting rid of everything we own!

Thinking of all these mobile babies...what do you experienced mamas do about Christmas trees? I'm going to be lucky if R isn't walking by Christmas and we usually have a nice big real one. Should I start warning DP we're going to have to get a tiny fake one for on top of a high shelf?

I enjoyed Apprentice. It's way better than the real one although they're all so precocious. I was a pain at 16, but nothing like this lot!

reastie · 24/10/2011 22:02

choc I was wondering the same thing re: christmas trees. I am fully intending on getting a big real tree for our first christmas together in our new home. I'm slightly Confused now but we have no surface to put a tree on in our sitting room if we do a small one Confused

chocoroo · 24/10/2011 22:33

reastie I wondered about maybe putting a fire guard around the bottom of a big tree but she climbed the one at my mum's anyway!

Am thinking we should just do it as usual and take the consequences. I guess at least for me R will be at nursery then so will not be at home all day running me ragged!

MizK · 24/10/2011 23:10

Hi all, just a quick hello as I am sooo tired.
reastie good luck with gp you will be so glad you went x
borg we need pics from schmancy shopping trip!
choco and other ladies meeting on fri, don't forget me! Exciting times.... Can't wait.
Big waves to you all, will catch up more tomorrow but must rest as have various children invading my house tomorrow plus DD1 and DS who spent most of today attempting to kill one another :( I actually had a sore throat from yelling earlier, bad mummy...well, it was a choice of yell or strangle them a la Homer Simpson and Bart.

debka · 25/10/2011 06:44

We had a big real Christmas tree when Imy was 9 months and crawling like a demon, I just told her off when she went near it and she soon got the message! Ooo Christmas I can't wait!

wiggles I noticed S has a top tooth yesterday, don't know when that bad boy arrived!

reastie really glad A has improved and is letting you sleep better. :) Best of luck this afternoon at the GPs, please don't leave without telling her everything.

mixk good luck with all the children!

Weigh day today and I'm nervous in the wake of the kit kats.... Grin

ledkr · 25/10/2011 08:53

mizk dd1 and ds3 have a12 yr age gap but since he has come home they argue like they used to Hmm ds is a father himself and 21 but he said "she gets on his nerves" haha.
deb D's top tooth arrived lsat week,it was halfway out before i noticed.
Ive been right off the sw regime but still lost a bit of weight Confused i came on yesterday so should settle down now. School hols are hard tho, today its cinema= sweets, pizza=fatty food and bed early.
Dilly did one of her inexplicable wakings last night.Dh went up and she and i sat on the sofa and watched a horror film Grin settled about 12.30 but i feel tired today without my usual early night.
I am looking forward to Friday too. Is parking free there i cant remember.
Is everyone taking a picnic?

chocoroo · 25/10/2011 09:10

Morning all,

Interesting night here, R settled after a lot of fuss but woke at 5am so I put her in with me and she beat me up for an hour before settling for another 90m. I feel like I'm coming down with something - maybe tonsillitis or just a cold, I guess time will tell.

mizK Ohthe lovely school holidays. Such joy!

deb I think we'll go the Adams route as you re: tree. DO pulls a massive sad face when I mutter about having to get a smaller fake tree.

ledkr ponyo debka mizk hubbard Joining introductions for Friday Grin

  • Parking at Canon Hill Park is free. Ideally you want to park in the car park near the MAC. There's an entrance right by Edgbaston Cricket Ground (just past the Aldi) and also one by the Nature Centre on the Pershore Road.
  • ill make sure I get there a bit early and will wait in the picnic tables outside the MAC on the park side (rather than the car park side). If it's raining I'll wait just inside the doors.
  • I guess the pushchair is a good way of recognising me - R has an Ocean blue Oyster and will probably be wearing a pink coat. I am the slightly tired looking size 16 tall, willowy beautiful one with her.
  • I will only bring a picnic if it's going to be family nice. I'll get something in the cafe otherwise.

I think that's it but obviously if you need anything just yell!

ledkr · 25/10/2011 10:23

Hark at you with your ocean blue oyster Grin I have a black and pink oyster darling! You will also know me by my blonde bob,fat arse and ginger baby Grin Im glad you are also size 16 i was imagining you all fainting at my obesity when you saw me Grin Seriously tho,i have shifted a stone now and still cant get into my 14's wtf? Its my ridiculous belly that stops me,i could literally gather it up and slice it off.I told dh i would be either joining a posh gym or having surgery when i go back to work.
I cant believ we are all finally meeting up,its so nice.Ive been telling everyone. We will all look a bit strange tho with our same age babies,i hop0e nobody thinks we are nct

chocoroo · 25/10/2011 11:34

ledkr I weigh exactly the same as I did pre-pregnancy (too much!) but all the new clothes I have bought have had to be a 16. I was just talking to my mate about it and talking about chopping my big belly off!

Grannyapple · 25/10/2011 11:45

Hi ladies...well jel of the meetup!

reastie good luck with the appt this avo-agree with others, best to write notes so u don't forget anything while you're in there.

Just back from a&e with Nate...he rolled off his changing table as I was picking his pooey nappy up! Heard a thump, turned round & he was on the floor on his back! He's all good, very robust it would seem but I was a bit of a wreck when I called dh at work to tell him I was off to a&e! No mention of social workers thankfully (happened to my friend a few months back when her baby rolled off their king size bed!).

Oh, we've got Nate a trike for crimbo & got him some crimbo pyjamas & a few books. Finding it hard not to buy him stuff but I know he'll get loads from family.

Off for a cuppa tea now to calm my nerves...missed baby sensory too.

wigglesrock · 25/10/2011 11:48

Morning all

Back from IKEA - for once it was empty, forgot what it was like to go there when all the kids are still at school Grin Annas' Christmas presents bought, and a years supply of napkins Hmm.

I'm the same size I was pre pregnancy too, but was no great shakes in the skinny malink department before. I lose weight when I work because I can't eat at work and the job is quite physical, at least thats what I keep telling myself when eating crisps. But Mr W cheered me up (having a bit of a work wobble) by reminding me that i was pregnant when I started the job so it will seem much easier now as I won't be as knackered.

Must go, Anna has woken up.

reastie good luck xx

debka · 25/10/2011 11:54

grannyapple that sounds scary, but you seem v matter of fact about it. Glad N is ok. I've never had a changing table for that reason, mine are always changed on the floor, S would never have survived so long otherwise, I'm always having to wipe a bottom/get a drink/kick the dog mid nappy change!

choc all sounds good except what is MAC? Is that the name of the cafe? I am several sizes larger than a 16 (although one less than I was a month ago!), with 2 small girls and an almost bald mother in tow!! Not sure if we'll be there at 12 but I'll let you know in the morning. I'll take a picnic if it's nice, eat in the cafe if not.

hubbard86 · 25/10/2011 12:04

see i'm just a fatty generally. So i'll make you lot look skinny. You'll recognise me by the black loola pushchair, bald baby with a pink blanket and a 2year old with wild blonde curly hair.
Thanks for the offer of picking me up choc but i'll probably be bringing tom with me. Will get a taxi from the station i think as tom has a drs appt at 10.30 so might be running a bit late. Can you send me a taxi number as i refuse to use black cabs as they are extortionate.
Good luck reastie, you've done the hardest bit by admitting you need help.

Grannyapple · 25/10/2011 12:08

debka I'm matter of fact about it now but wasn't at the time! But I kinda knew in my heart of hearts that he was fine as he cried for only 1 minute & could follow objects with his eyes straight away afterwards..but I called nhs direct 1st just to check. I think that change table had been a godsend, esp in middle of the night, but then I only have 1 to worry about Smile

wigglesrock · 25/10/2011 13:02

grannyapple glad N is ok, and your mind has been set at ease, I had a changing table with Sofia and I loved it. Right off to try and hide this reindeer/moose death-trap rocking contraption.

janedoe25 · 25/10/2011 14:32

Glad Nate is ok granny, what a shock for you.

Thats my baby mindee away home just the schoolies to contend with later.....

I have my final dress fitting on saturday, my mum was comming with me, but she has just canceled because she wants to go shopping instead (by shopping I mean to tesco). I am so bloody angry, I know if this was my sisters wedding things would be so different. It's times like this I really wish my Mum was here Sad.

ledkr · 25/10/2011 15:04

step mum jane? My real mum favours my sisters too,its so hurtfull.Im kind of used to it now.
Off to pics now for a snooze whilst Els watches Selina bloody gomez zzzzzz.I like the excuse to eat sweets and sit down for 2 hrs.

Listen to us slagging ourselves off,its so bad.I think we should say something nice too.I think my hair is nice and im pretty good for my age so there. Next???

Grannyapple · 25/10/2011 15:10

jane I'd be raging too! Can u make it clear ur unhappy, or suggest she gets an online delivery for that day?!

Hope reastie is getting on ok at her appt..

janedoe25 · 25/10/2011 16:01

ledkr yes to the step mum, she has been married to my dad since i was 7 but i treat her like a mum just a shame she doesn't reciprocate.

granny no point, the confrontation will only add to my stress levels. I don't really know why I expected her to any different than usual.

debka · 25/10/2011 16:14

Yes reastie how are you? Been thinking of you today xxx

ledkr you're right I was thinking that, we've all been apologising for what size we are, well I have nice hair too when I cba to do something with it and have lost almost a stone so far!! Grin

Next!

debka · 25/10/2011 16:15

jane forgot to say that's so rude of your stepmum, can you find a good friend to go with you instead?

ILovePonyo · 25/10/2011 16:29

Hello all, we have had a day of cooking baby dinners and washing up here, woo. dd just had a 10 min power nap then woke up, wtf Confused

jane can't believe your mum, that is really mean actually, why ould she want to go to bloody tesco instead?! Hope you're feeling ok and its her loss, agree take a lovely friend instead.

granny how scary for you with N rolling off the changing table, I'm surprised dd hasn't done it yet tbh. Hope he is ok (sure he is) and that you have recovered too!

Ooh meet up, exciting, I will be the one with the black pram and baby with lots of hair that doesn't smile at anyone. I was going to say something about me looking like a big scruff but agree with ledkr, instead I will say that I have brown hair and a fringe and am a size 12 in the right clothes Grin

choco I will prob get there a bit early too so will look out for you and ring you if need be!

Hope reastie got on ok today and the doctor wasn't a bitch

Better go its taken me ages to write this as I keep getting up to move A away from the bloody cat food, oh now shes putting my toe in her mouth Hmm

janedoe25 · 25/10/2011 16:38

I so wish df and I eloped, saves us on the stress!

So jelous about your meet up girls, take lots of photos and notes we want to hear all bout it!

Hope the doctor appointment went well reastie?

reastie · 25/10/2011 16:44

hi ladies

just a quick update as alice is attacking my computer Confused so proper catch up later.

Got back from gp. She was suppose so but not exactly a kind bedside manner IYWKIM. Anyway, she's told me to get my hv to do a home visit to chat to me and has given me a prescription of paroxetine (seroxat). She took ages trying to find one that was bfing friendly (as if it was a pain that I was still bfing) and kept saying 'how old is dd?' and looking Hmm about me still feeding Shock and that it was an inconvenience for her as she couldn't find a drug. Anyway, have got one but I can't collect until thurs. Anyone taken this? I'm terrible at taking medication in general so am tempted to leave it until I see hv.

ohhhh, alice quiet now so can add some more.

jane if only you lived near me - I'd be rather too excitedly happy to come to the fitting.

granny Shock what a shock.

ledkr the idea of sitting still and slobbing out with sweets at the cinema for 2 hours sounds insanely appealing Grin

wiggles I always buy my weight in napkins when I'm at ikea too Blush Grin

I have this great vision of you ladies meeting on friday calling eachother by your mn names, either that or wearing large name label stickers please don't spoil the illusion

OK, good thing about me - I have a good sense of direction (best I could come up with). Next.
