Glad the night in the spare room worked jimmi. Fortunately I don't feel the need to sue for trapping my finger, it's only a bit of a bruise, however if I was wearing a ring(wedding finger) that would have been different as it was right where a ring sits. Flipping heck about the nursery :(
feral, I've been trying to ignore the hard side of teething of babyhood! But I know it's not going to be that much fun. Grr to your DH
ssmile, we've got loads of snuggly toys, just not many with plastic bits on them. I will have a look, I'll also have a look at the one feral mentioned.
Sebs, well it was a case of wear a sling or take the peanut in with us and hope we got a table with 4 chairs, as it happened we did get a big table, but it was much easier in the sling. I'm very envious of you giving up work for the time being. I would love to be able to do that. Good for you :)
I'm not loving the tales of years of broken sleep! I know it's a huge possibility, but I'm trying to block it out of my head, a bit like the teething issue!
candr, is there a definite 3 month change, I was expecting one at 6 weeks and didn't notice any discernible difference. DTD does get easier, yesterday it was almost pain free, the very first time we had to stop, but it's got easier since.
Jojo, sorry to hear about your OH, that sounds rough :(
So all this talk about sterilising bottles etc etc, what happens to teething toys, they don't get sterilised. How is it OK to not sterilise tethers etc, yet have to do bottles? Is it to do with the milk in the bottles?
Last night LO went down about 11ish, woke or was fussing a teeny bit at around half 2, decided to wait till she woke properly or started crying before feeding her, was half 4 before she made a teeny cry so I fed her then. She is in a bedside cot and so I hear her as soon as she makes a fuss, I think sometimes she wakes and isn't ready for food, just going through a different sleep pattern, and I think this is why when she is in the travel cot she appears to sleep better, as she isn't right next to me and so I don't hear the little fussing in the same way, and only hear her when she properly wants food. She's never woken up screaming for food, so I'm not leaving it too late when she is in the travel cot. I'm wondering if I need to leave her a tiny bit longer at night, if she settles down again leave her till she wakes, if she doesn't then feed her. But it's hard to judge in the middle of the night. After the half 4 feed though she woke quite a bit, but she had had a good stint before that.
She also has a touch of conjunctivitis, or at least the doc thinks it is, so we have eye drops to put in. So far the success rate of definitely getting the drops in is 75% (3 out of 4 definitely in 1/4 not sure if it went in or not) and 50% for crying - where the 1 attempt she was crying before I put it in as she was hungry. I'm sure we'll get there and I only have another 16 drops to put in. Can you tell I'm counting down till the course is finished!!!
So I ran again last night. :) and it was a good run. However the pain I had before I was pregnant is back, it's a foot injury and so I am going to have to avoid running for - well I don't really know. At least buggy walking burns off loads of calories. And I lost 3.5lbs at the slimming class :)
