Well we had a good time at the zoo and we left at 4 to cone home and D fell asleep in the car and because it takes half an hour to get home I couldn't wake him up. Another late night tonight I think. I need to get his naps back to how they were which is easier said than done.

CakeandRoses · 09/09/2011 18:40

its a mare when they fall asleep late in the car isn;t it dh? we do all manner of singing and nudging A to stop her from falling asleep. i had to twist round from the driver's seat and full-on shake her awake the other day

Hope you have a better night tonight tsc

chulita glad the scan went well

SOunds like the wedding went well spirael, shame about the sleeping though.

Solo parenting going absolutely fine so far cake, he went Fri morning so that was just like a normal day with him at work except he wasn't here for bedtime - no probs, G went straight into her cot at 7 and then put A down.Couldn't really be arsed to tidy up properly though so I just kicked everything into the playroom and closed the door.

Today we are meeting friends this morning at a park. G woke at 6 and A at 6.30 so that's a pretty good start to the day.

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/09/2011 20:10

It certainly is. He's full of beans ATM playing with his toys. I think the plan is to get him up early so his naps are both earlier then we should be back on track with his earlier bedtimes.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 09/09/2011 20:14

Hey ladies

I missed ya Grin

Nice one on the scan chulita, so so pleased for you. Have you started telling people now then? Hope you've had a great birthday

Can sympathise on the sickness cake - I have one being sick, the other with the runs. Fun.

WhatSheSaid · 09/09/2011 20:17

Shock You're back!!! Shock Grin Shock Grin

Woodlands · 09/09/2011 20:25

hooray for mlic!

Have done all sorts of dangerous turning round and tickling/pinching etc to keep J awake in the car. My friend says she can still remember her knees being tickled to keep her awake in the car and has vowed not to do it to her own child!

Great scan news, chulita!

Had a call from nursery this afternoon to say J had a temperature again and could they give him Calpol. I said yes please, and call me in half an hour if he's still not himself and I'll come and get him. They hadn't called by the time I left work two hours later and when I got to him he was happy as Larry. Glad I didn't leave work early to get him, though I felt pretty guilty! They reckoned it was teething.

CakeandRoses · 09/09/2011 20:27

should we get used to you being here mliSc?! Grin

SUCH a tease, you are!

Only popping on quickly had a mad day L hasnt slept at all today he sat in his cot playing for an hour and then we went to sil's for a chinese for nieces birthday, he was so so good even though shattered, we had to leave quickly as it was so humid I wanted to hurl! I think I have an ear infection whole half of head hurts.

But I had to post when I saw.....WELCOME BACK MLIC!!! Grin Sorry for shouting I was just so excited! its not been the same without you!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 09/09/2011 21:10

Am back, just will be a lot bit more careful this time

Grin

Woodlands that has happened to me quite a few times. They generally just need your permission to give them calpol which is why they ring. They did it to me today funnily enough.

Thanks for the 'welcome back's

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/09/2011 21:22

Ah welcome back mlic!

Chulita- great news on the scan it's so amazing seeing them doing so well.

can i come back?!
been just busy with life in general the last few weeks! have way to much to catch up on so just going to start fresh!
chul delighted to hear all is well with the baby! did you have a nice birthday?
good to see you back mlic Grin
have been sleep training E as she was just gone to be a disaster so we decided enough was enough and she was going to learn to fall asleep in her cot and stay there. been going pretty well. i don't have the heart to just leave her to cry to herself so we've a chair beside her cot and everytime she stands up we just put her back down and don't talk to her. first night it only took 10 mins but then an hour from 4-5 then 2nd night it took the same and she only stirred twice but we didn't need to go in to her and tonight she didn't even cry in the cot just took her bottle and watched the light show on her cot mobile thing and went straight to sleep Shock. why didn't i do this sooner?! she got her last injections today though so hopefully she won't be unsettled in the night
what's everyones plans for the weekend? i have zilch planned and boy am i happy about that!

CakeandRoses · 10/09/2011 09:36

memphis83 · 10/09/2011 14:31

Well done Lady A! cakes I always find after a decent nights sleep I feel worse for it too! Ear is still really hurting, struggled to lie on it last night, really dont want to go docs with it, last time I had one they pulled the ear to look in and it really really hurt! :(
dh sounds like a good weekend planned!

We have been to a lovely farm today, L loved the tractor ride but was very quiet looking weary at everything, he loved the ducks and the donkey eeee oooorrrrred right in his face and he wasnt bothered, but wouldnt touch the sheep, they had a motor museum there too, was more like a collection of farmers loves but it was amazing I could have been in there all day! the tea rooms looked lovely but we didnt go in this time, was gutted I forgot my camera :(

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/09/2011 19:08

That sounds like a fun day Memphis

The film was really good I'm glad I went and I got home to a v tired D who was asleep by 7!

memphis83 · 11/09/2011 10:37

Wow its quiet on here this weekend!

Sun is shining here again today, we are going out on push bikes later, dh has taken L out for a walk while I have a bath, mum babysat for a few hours last night so we went out on bikes and got caught in the rain, as we arrived home there were sirens going for 2 hours, an accident around the corner, looks like we missed it by literally seconds! L is very grumpy his tooth is going to pop when we give him something to chew on it looks so sore, we are going for a curry for mums birthday tonight, L had just nearly scaled the baby gate using upper body strength and gripping with his feetShock

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/09/2011 10:48

Like a little monkey! D is doing things like that, he keeps trying to climb out the bath.

How is everyone doing? It's unusually quiet on here.

memphis83 · 11/09/2011 10:57

dh L climbs into the bath but you have to get him out kicking and screaming! he would sit in there all day which is why I have to bath when he is out or in bed or I get a visitor Grin He does look like a monkey! He also climbs into the pushchair on his own too nothing is safe!

PublicHair · 11/09/2011 17:11

i went out last night, really really nice.
fongs got up when i got back, another rubbish night.
at a party this afternoon, i was tickling him and he threw his head back and has a whole mouth of teeth through in various shapes and sizes...some are properly here, others are just 'the little hole that appears before the tooth does' bless him.

MalibuStac · 11/09/2011 17:46

Where did you go last night? Poor F with the teething. Why the name change public?

How are you all? I've horrendous cramp, would love to order chinese as can't be bothered cooking, wonder whAt dp will say?!

We must all have been mega busy at the weekend, what's everyone been up to?

memphis r's the exact same with the bath. Yesterday dp was having a shower and she kept trying to get in with him.

Anyone know a good way to get rid of cradle cap? I've been using dentinox shampoo but is shit.
