Glad she's ok, Mock.
Wow, exciting your DH is coming home. Yippee.

We have a small 3ft artificial tree I've had since Woolworth days, while we are in this small apartment we can't really fit a big tree. When we eventually move (maybe in 2013), we will get a 7ft or so fake tree. We will keep our little tree on a table. Though DS is a monkey, and can climb everywhere. He climbed out of the bath last week, I could not believe it. I have seen nice ideas of a 2D tree on the wall, for when the rascals are small.
For example: wall tree one
And: wall tree two
Or: wall tree three!

HarrietJones · 20/11/2011 15:13

Ooh missed that bit before mock hpw exciting!!!

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 20/11/2011 15:43

Cool idea! I like!!

MonsterBookOfTysons · 20/11/2011 19:44

Hi Ladies :)
NoHun I am very excited for christmas.
Dd is getting some playmobil 123 and a ride on. Also other bits like a tiger pillow and... I can't remember anymore Hmm
Mock lovely that your dh will be home for christmas :)
Dd tried to walk today, she managed one step so can't really count it.
She still has no teeth! Anyone else's baby still waiting?

NoHunIntended · 21/11/2011 18:20

What is a tiger pillow?

Ooh, a step is a step! :)

DS has six teeth, but my mum tells me I only got my first at 13 months. There's no rush!

MonsterBookOfTysons · 21/11/2011 20:11

Ds was about 14 months too. I reckon my dc just dont see the rush for pain Grin
The tiger pillow is like a soft toy that folds out into a pillow. Ds has a dog one and loves it. She will be a bit young for it atm but she will like it when she is older :)

Oh I know the thing! Looks good!

tiredfeet · 21/11/2011 23:24

Wonderful news that your dh will be home soon mock

I am really excited about christmas this year, I think ds will love all the new things to look at, lights and trees etc. We are still debating what to do for a tree. I love those wall trees nohun - not sure I'm creative enough though.

tyson ds has an elephant pillow, he loves it, he's really starting to get interested in soft toys now, especially when they pretend to eat him Grin

Off to devon for a long weekend this weekend, VERY excited, its been too long since we've gone away as a family. Hoping for sunshine but there's a big playbarn at the farm, with lots of toys and soft play for bad weather

HarrietJones · 22/11/2011 08:16

Went to bed early last night and gave up on wheelybug I was bidding on as they keep going out of reach but woke up to find I won! More than I wanted to pay but still a lot less than the shops. It balances out with the £5 dolly pram from the local paper

TribbleToilandTrouble · 22/11/2011 21:26

HJ Well done on your ebay bargins!!! I've just scored an elc emergency vehicle set on one of the local pages as well. It does balance out and just think you have reused and recycled as well. Have you seen that breaking dawn is doing the rounds at the baby cinema? I was very excited for a moment, then remembered I was working .

Mock Awww that'll be so nice that your DH is home for Christmas.

I think I said DS is getting a wooden garage for Christmas and some playfood. I know it seems a bit silly but I was a little bit disapointed in the out laws. They asked for suggestions for presents for DS and I pointed out some of the stuff we were getting, and said some of the bits to go with the garage or the kitchen would be fab and they've got him other things instead. Don't get me wrong, he'll love them and I'm grateful but I wanted him to have matching presents. It's stupid really, but there you go.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 23/11/2011 11:01

TF I love Elephants, your ds has good taste!
HJ well done on ebay, I was going for a second hand rudolph dvd which I lost. It went for £40.01 in the end...mental!
Tribs great on the wooden garage. We got ds a garage for his first birthday and we are only just replacing it for a more mature one. He is 3.6 years now, worth the money! :)

MonsterBookOfTysons · 23/11/2011 11:02

Just wanted to add, ds's was a plastic fisher price one, not wooden. Wooden ones last forever Grin

HarrietJones · 23/11/2011 11:45

I'm working thurs too this week Trib so couldn't go either. Hence the giggle of 11 year olds on Friday night Confused

I used to love playing with the toy garage Blush

Dh has gone shopping but pit on 'inthe night garden' before he left thinking dd3 might be interested. She brought me the remote & pointed at the tv for it changing! Found teletubbies now which is more interesting to her. She's just stopped for a fees while the video plays though.

NoHunIntended · 23/11/2011 15:37

A DVD for £40??? How on earth was it worth that?

MonsterBookOfTysons · 23/11/2011 18:55

It was Rudolph the red nosed reindeer the movie, Brilliant film with great songs etc. :) Not willing to spend £40 on a secondhand dvd though. I may get it on video for £5 Grin

I'd never even heard of thst film ty. Some stuff on Ebay is crazy I have sold two things in the last couple of weeks for more money than I paid for them new in the shop and they are still available in the shops- it doesn't make sense!
Glad for you that your DH is coming home Mock
Trib I know what you mean about pressies. My MIL was complaining that has she has been ill she is behind on her xmas shopping. Since I have known her she always gives everyone a £20 so I don't know how you can fall behind on that Confused She also always makes some snide comment on what step MIL buys DD. Oh the politics of present buying Grin Step MIL and PIL have bought DD a smart trike which is very generous of them but I have nowhere to keep it. Am trying to persuade DH to make me a trap door over the cellar steps for storage.
I have very nearly finished my christmas shopping and am getting excited now
Have fun at Breaking Dawn HJ I went on Friday and Saturday Blush

tiredfeet · 23/11/2011 22:59

Grin at your MIL busy !!

Ugh at ebay, we just bought a stroller from there, for £70, a maclaren they claimed was "immaculate" and when it arrived it stank of cigarette smoke and was battered and torn Angry and dh had a right battle trying to get them to give him his money back. Has really put me off, but dh still wants to try and get the replacement from there...

Has anyone else had their bookstart pack? Ours contained an offer from a book co for free delivery on all orders for life, I'm a bookaholic so v chuffed! Just ordered ds the gruffalo, dear santa and a spot book all half price Smile.

NoHunIntended · 24/11/2011 15:08

Yuck re the smoky stroller, tf.

I got given a couple of bookstart books and a leaflet when DS had his one-year checkup. Are the books to buy cheaper than they are on Amazon?

BellaDesconocida · 24/11/2011 21:41

Hello hello hello all!

Have a Brew

I can't believe DD is over a year old! This time last year she couldn't even smile, now she's a little almost-toddler.

HarrietJones · 24/11/2011 21:53

Hi Bella!

Did the returnees join us on FB? I don't think I have any of you?

MonsterBookOfTysons · 25/11/2011 09:13

Sophie has had her first book start pack. I love the quality of the books you get :)
Bella Lovely to see you here again! I is strange to think how much they have grown, in October I went back through the october 2010 thread to see all the birth announcements again! It was nice :)
HJ No I don't think they have.

Anyone liking to add any of us on fb please pm

tiredfeet · 25/11/2011 13:10

Yes me too ty ds was really chuffed with his bookstart books, he had one with pictures of babies in which makes him squeal with excitement. nohun I find sometimes amazon cheaper and sometimes red house, I always check both before buying. I would like to be able to buy second hand/ use the library more, but our village is quite isolated.

In devon now, relaxing while ds naps! Lovely place and great for children, there's a play barn with tons of toys and a big play park area for the cottages, and animal feeding every morning, I would definitely recommend it and I think ds would too judging by the squeals of excitement this morning.

HarrietJones · 27/11/2011 19:42

Went to see Santa yesterday. Made dd2 go so dd3 could tag on, she just stared in disbelief! She liked getting a present though, carefully ripped off bits of paper & gave them to dd2 and smiled at the picture on the box!

Been watching friends choir doing carols today , dd3 loved it. Pointing at friend and Xmas lights & tree.

HoHoHoFunIntended · 27/11/2011 20:15

Looking forward to DS seeing Santa, getting the tree up, etc, though I think next year will be the year when he is properly excited about it.

Hello, Bella, nice to see you here.

Will check Red House before buying on Amazon, though I love the ease of Amazon.

Four weeks til Christmas! Do you like my festive new name? :)
