Welcome to our cosy, new thread.

Not for a minute would I suggest you stop bfing HJ, but perhaps the SPD is exacerbated by it as bfing keeps all the ligaments loose and bendy as in pregnancy until you stop.

Had a mildly upsetting week last week as it seemed that I was running out of milk. DD was slapping my boob trying to get milk out and crying. I started drinking nettle and fennel tea and upped my oat intake as i remember NoHun saying it was good for milk production. I also made a conscious effort to relax as work and the whole back to work thing is stressful. All that has appeared to work and its getting better. I don't leak or have a feeling of letdown so I just rely on being able to hear or see DD actively swallowing which she wasn't. We've got a good balance back now. Morning and night and any required night feeds during the week and she does not have any supplementary bottles with the childminder and at the weekend she may have one or 2 extra bfs in the day which is working out nicely.

Thats my last hope Mock! Not planning on stopping yet but the hope is there that when I do my hormones reset me. Dd3 fed off one side the other day & I said 'is that nice?' she shook her head & swapped sides. 'mmmm' Grin think I was slower on the first side. I still soak through breast pads so I know I'm still producing loads but it's a bit anti social!

HarrietJones · 08/11/2011 18:02

Dd3 has just been having a feed & was cuddling her dolly into me to feed too. When she finished she got down & left me with dolly. I tried to put my top down but she wouldn't let me cos she wanted me to carry on with dolly!

NoHunIntended · 08/11/2011 18:35

Mock, I have two boxes of nursing tea, unopened, that I'd be happy to mail you, free to a happy home! I am not drinking it any more as it is not compatible with TTC/bring PG, so happy to forward it to you. And I heard oats were good too, so lots of porridge may help. Fb or PM me here with your address if you want the tea.

Cute re the doll, HJ! :)

tiredfeet · 08/11/2011 22:24

Good on you lot for keeping breastfeeding still Smile if I have another I would love to keep going that long.

DillyDora · 09/11/2011 12:29

HJ I don't want to be v annoying but would you consider trying a McTimoney Chiropractor for the SPD, it's the only thing that helped me. I'm supposed to do pilates too but not exactly overwhelmed with spare time... Love the story about dolly, so sweet.

Mock DS often slaps my boob and I never thought that he might not be getting milk, I thought he was just being 'friendly' Hmm I hope things are getting better. I think mine really comes and goes, I've started having let down pain again and being more leaky so presumably there's more for some reason. Funny business really...

tiredfeet I am too disorganised to stop bfing...I can forget/lose all sorts of things but not my boobs!

HarrietJones · 09/11/2011 17:45

Don't know if we have anyof those round here! Will have a google

TribbleToilandTrouble · 09/11/2011 21:47

NoHun If Mock doesn't take them, I'll have one. DS is doing the same thing to me (slapping boobs and wailing at me). He has also started crawling up to me during the day and pawing at my top and crying when I say no. I do tell him that crying at girls in the future will not get them to lift their tops up no matter how hard he wails.

Also I don't know if you remember but our old landlords are dragging us through the dispute process and taking their sweet fricking time about it as well. They have two weeks to submit their evidence, the two weeks is up on Friday and well as of two hours ago they still haven't bothered to. I hate them and every time I pass the agency in the car, I pull my tongue out. I know it's childish, but DS is starting to learn how to talk. It wouldn't be good if his first sentence was 'arseholing buggery buggers' now would it. Grin

HJ Awwwwwww!!!!

Also being back at work is going well, I'm not a jibbering wreck and I feel like I'm coping a heck of a lot better at the moment.

Now, is anyone else as excited about Twilight as I am????

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 09/11/2011 22:04

I did reply yesterday NoHun but my internet connection is really patchy. Yes please! My local healthfood shop has none. I will share with Trib. Its getting worse. DD coming off and crying at me in the evening. Not good Sad.

NoHunIntended · 09/11/2011 22:08

Ok, well both of you PM me your addresses, and I'll send you a box each.

TTT, glad work is ok. Hurrah! Sorry your ex LL is being a bugger though. Hope that gets sorted soon.

HarrietJones · 09/11/2011 23:22

I'm looking forward to twilight!

TribbleToilandTrouble · 10/11/2011 16:45

NoHun Thanks, hopefully it'll go our way. But nothing ventured nothing gained. I'm getting SO excited, I get to start christmas shopping for the boy soon!!!! I'm getting him a play garage with some little cars and some blocks. I'm actually more excited than he is.

HJ Poor DH may be forced into watching it as my friend is going to South Africa for a few weeks. Blinking selfish of her really.

DillyDora · 11/11/2011 11:38

Good luck with the LL TTT!

Ooooh, turns out DS has an inner ear infection in both ears - poor kid! That explains the renewed night waking, then! He's such a stoic you'd never really know anything was wrong, I just took him to the doc as a precaution as he was sticking his fingers in his ears - I thought he'd scream his head off with earache. Poor lamb.

Sorry about the milk thing mocking - remember to eat lots in general, you really have to keep the ol' calories up so plenty of cake!

Good luck with TTC btw nohun you always said you wouldn't wait!

NoHunIntended · 11/11/2011 15:00

Not planning on getting DS much this Christmas, maybe a tunnel, a book, a Jack-in-the-box, some bath crayons, and I think that may be all! He got a play garage and alphabet blocks for his birthday. We have bought him some cute festive outfits, but they are really more for my pleasure!

Oh Dilly, that sounds tough! Poor little one. Hope he gets better soon.

No, no waiting here, no news to report yet either though. I had reflexology last week in an effort to get things started! So fingers crossed. If I get pg this month it would be a 21-22 month gap. I wish for a small gap! Am too old to delay!

HarrietJones · 11/11/2011 15:57

I've got 21 months between dd1/2. Was nice when they were little!

NoHunIntended · 11/11/2011 16:17

Is it not nice now?!

HarrietJones · 11/11/2011 16:27

They bicker!

NoHunIntended · 11/11/2011 16:28

:) I am sure they will grow out of it! :)

busyprocrastinating · 11/11/2011 20:50

Hi I have been managing to keep reading but haven't had chance to post I have been so busy. Nothing special just adjusting to life as a working mum I guess Grin and work has been crazy. And now I have boken my phone which I used to keep up Sad

Nice to have you back Dilly hope your ds gets better soon.
Trib hope you get sorted with ex LLs and you are definately not alone in looking forward to Twilight- got my tickets booked for next Friday.

We bought all DDs xmas presents the other week. We went for something totally different and got carried away. Though the problem is now I will keep spotting more things and will struggle to resist.

I had to give up bf just before her birthday. We went away and forgot to take my pump I was really upset as I had worked so hard with all the expressing and then felt like the decision to stop was taken away from me. I managed to express by hand for a day or two and but my supply just dropped. It felt good to pack away the pumps though (I didn't get rid as hopefully a DC2 will make an appearance in the new year)
Well done on all of you still going strong though. Hope your supply issues work out Mock

My best friend had a baby last week she had been waiting a long time for a baby and had the worst pregnancy and by the sounds of it a traumatic birth. I was supposed to go see her the other day but we have all been struck by a tummy bug this week so I will have to wait till next week now for some newborn snnuggles. I have enjoyed buying tiny little clothes though.

HJ I think most siblings bicker don't they whatever the age gap. Me and DB were terrible. Hopefully they'll grow out of it!

NoHunIntended · 11/11/2011 22:13

BP, was that a pg announcement, I wasn't sure!

What have you got your DD for Christmas?

busyprocrastinating · 12/11/2011 10:11

No hun it wasn't an announcement. Operation conceive is underway though Grin

We have got DD an Aquadoodle and building bricks and a few Peppa pig bits for Christmas. She got so much for her birthday she didn't really need much.

I took DD for an underwater photograph it was ££££ but is lovely.

NoHunIntended · 13/11/2011 01:14

Ah, well, I shall await an announcement. Same here. Maybe we will be due together again!

Ooh yes, I forgot about the Aquadoodle, considering it, but DS has a MegeSketcher already, not sure if it's different enough to warrant getting the Aquadoodle.

How funny - DH and I were discussing getting an underwater 'Nirvana' picture done with DS only the other day. Can we see your photo please?

HarrietJones · 13/11/2011 07:44

We've a little aquadoodlefor stocking for dd3. They came out after dd1/2 were too old so I only recently saw what theyare!
Weve got quite a bit for dd3 but some willbe from dd1/2 too. Wilkos has some good stuff in at the moment for those on a budget!

We are still wavering over dc4. We wouldlike one but it all depends on my hips and we don't have much room in the house October is decision time!

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 13/11/2011 09:39

Why is October decision time HJ?

Good luck to those TTCing!

DD has a cold. one half of our weekend plans are cancelled as she slept for 3 hours total at my sister's on Friday night (thank goodness my sister took over at 0440 to allow me a couple of hours) and that was spent attached to me as the only way she could sleep (good for supply though). So we cancelled going to see friends on Saturday night as I did not want DD to have another rough night out of her own bed, nor did I want to disturb anyone else! So, prepared with Snufflerub (great stuff) she slept 13 hours last night. which was great.

HarrietJones · 13/11/2011 10:04

2 years since my section and I dont want to get pg much before that as 3 layers of scar tissue is dodgy enough! Also don't want a v big age gapif we do go for it & having to do school runs etc for dd3 with a newborn/dodgy legs
