Hi Dora lovely to see you :o
I have two children. Ds is 3 and obviously dd is one. Thankfully we do sleep as both slept through from one week old. I suppose if we ever had more our luck would run out :o
NoHun one of my friends has started making 3some felt elves :o

PMSL Monster....felt elves in a 3some?!! Grin

Sleeping through since 1 week? I cannot even dream of such a thing (I can't dream because I don't sleep .... Wink)

NoHunIntended · 02/11/2011 12:20

:) at the naughty felt elves! :) I won't buy anything felt as it's not vegan, but thanks anyway! :) I think I have my heart set on the pricey doll, will hold off this year, and see how things are financially next year. (If anyone is wondering why we are talking about elves, it's because of the Elf On The Shelf thread in the Christmas topic.)

Great to have you back, Dilly. A few of us have hooked up on Fb - if you want in, PM me!
And Sea, you have been missed too!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 02/11/2011 15:34

I know, I been a bad thread friend! I've been absent on fb too. It's been really busy atm, so I end up reading but not posting! Work gets in the way of mnetting :)

Re sleep with 2 under 3-ummmm for the first 6 months I don't think I slept. There was a painful period where they woke every 2hrs, but alternated, so got woken every hour by a different child. That was not a popular cold season!!

They are sleeping better now-I got 10hrs last night 9-7 with only 2 wakes Grin bliss!

HarrietJones · 02/11/2011 16:52

Hi everyone, welcome back Dilly!

I'm not on here v much at the moment as we have weird Internet problems & MN is v slow& I get bored waiting.

I've 3 now &don't sleep much! Dd3 is still feeding all night &is ravenous at the moment, think it must be a growth spurt.

I've been on an away day today & had to come home cos my Grandad collapsed( he's been checked out and nothing major- probably another stroke), dh had hospital this am and is now waiting for an op on his hand and is now at a job interview. I'm feeling a little bit stresssed today!

NoHunIntended · 02/11/2011 19:51

I am lucky with a good sleeper! He is lazy like me! :)

So sorry to hear about your grandad, HJ. Hope he is doing ok. You have a lot on your plate, hey. Hope your DH gets that job.

tiredfeet · 02/11/2011 21:53

Grin at the 3some felt elves!!

nohun what is felt made from?

Sorry to hear about your grandad hj.glad its nothing major. Fingers crossed for your dh and the job interview!

HarrietJones · 02/11/2011 21:57

Dd1 was a good sleeper, dd2 was awful & still doesn't need much and dd3 just loves her milk more than sleep. Some of her night feeds are still long ones rather than quick comfort sucks.

Grandad gone to hospital now. Waiting for my mam to phone. Dad said he didn't object and he's one of those blokes who never goes to the dr( he got home 2 hours on the trainafter his first stroke)

MonsterBookOfTysons · 02/11/2011 22:05

NoHun I didn't realise sorry :)
HJ hope your grandad feels better soon.
Seashells I have missed you too :)

Sorry to hear about your G'Dad HK. Thoughts are with you.

Hello Dilly! I was Elsa123!

Felt is made from wool.

Night night x

NoHunIntended · 02/11/2011 23:56

tf, yeah, felt is made of wool. I would say more people don't know this than do! Thank you anyway, ty! :)

HarrietJones · 03/11/2011 07:02

I had to think about felt but remembered seeing a ' make felt ' workshop at a country fair. Takes loads of wool!

Xavielli · 03/11/2011 07:25

Hello Ladies!

Sorry I've been so quiet, I've been keeping up with my ante-natal thread as opposed to this one! Bad Xavielli!

Just wanted to say I hope everyone has had wonderful 1st birthdays! DS2 really enjoyed his on Saturday and was spoilt rotten.

Things are really good here, DP finally moved in with us so we are all together all the time. only 14 weeks left until DC4 arrives; it's flying by!

P.S I only knew that felt was made from wool from watching River Cottage!!

DillyDora · 03/11/2011 10:59

Morning!

Oooh Xavielli congratulations! Lovely.

Hope your grandad is ok HJ

Hello Elsa, Seashells and NoHun* and anyone else from the old days! It's hard to keep up with MNing when work keep wanting me to do things. I think TABU frankly...

I knew felt was made from wool because of the times I shrunk my jumpers Blush

Baaaad sleepy night last night. I've had 3.5hrs and am at work, like a zombie. DS up at about 12-2.30 and then up again at 6. I don't know what got him up but he just wouldn't go back to sleep. DH thinks he doesn't want to be alone. Wonder if he needs a nightlight... There's so much light pollution where we live I didn't think he did! O well...we'll see.

NoHunIntended · 03/11/2011 18:20

:) @ shrunk jumpers! :)

Nice to see you, Xav, hope the pg is going well.

DDora, do you not want to have DS in with you? I sleep so well with DS next to me, in that he does too.

HarrietJones · 03/11/2011 18:49

Dd3 pretty much sleeps with us & is up hourly this week! Growth spurt I think.

Having a bad day today hips wise. Think I over did it yesterday.

DillyDora · 04/11/2011 10:58

NoHun I think DH might have words to say about co-sleeping with DS. He's such a big lump now (DS, not DH Wink). Better night last night, we're also trying to encourage DS to attach a bit to teddies and things (rather than books which are not so cuddly) to comfort himself in the night/ God HJ up hourly?! I don't think I'd have enough milk for that. BTW who's still BFing?

Sorry about the hips, HJ is that from pregnancy? I had SPD and it didn't go away but then I went to a really good chiropractor who sorted it all out for me.

NoHunIntended · 04/11/2011 11:49

Aw, but they are so snuggly, however big and lumpy they are! Glad you had a better night anyway.
Still BFing here - hence it is so much easier for me having DS in bed with us, I don't have to get up if he wants a feed.

HJ, hope your hips get better soon.

DillyDora · 04/11/2011 12:06

noHun you're right, they are so snuggly Grin

NoHunIntended · 04/11/2011 13:04

:) Mmm, baby snuggles. Lovely!

HarrietJones · 04/11/2011 15:03

Still SPD yes.
I'm still breastfeeding

NoHunIntended · 07/11/2011 16:45

Can they do anything about the SPD, HJ?

HarrietJones · 07/11/2011 18:10

Not really. Just keep doing Physio & take painkillers. Had Osteo but didn't do much &acupuncture. 'it'll go soon...'

NoHunIntended · 07/11/2011 21:58

It will, it will! Ow!
