Dd3 has her 1 year jabs this am, just left toddlers thinking I'm sure there was something else today ...

Anyway we are off to dr ina minute & I'm there tonight cos my free prescriptions run out tomorrow to discuss my MRI stuff

MonsterBookOfHorrors · 18/10/2011 14:08

Ds has gone to Nursery [hgrin]
I have been round to the garden centre for a browse, it was lovely till I put a book in my mouth while I sorted out dd's blanket and the book slipped and landed on dd's nose. It even bled a bit [hsad]
But it was so great getting out! [hgrin]
HJ I hope the jabs went well.
I have ds's 3 pre school jabs on Thursday which I am dreading. Still waiting for dd's letter [hhmm]

NoHunIntended · 18/10/2011 14:31

Hope the jabs went ok, HJ.

Really warm here today in SW London. Weird weather!

Aw, MBH, sorry to hear about DD's nose! Hope you are both ok!

DS was dry the whole night last night! :) I am not counting my chickens, mostl likely it was a one-off!

He likes dancing these days, whenever one of his toys goes off, he does a little boogie. Uber cute!

HarrietJones · 18/10/2011 14:46

Jabs done, just MMR next month then safe for another 2 years!

tiredfeet · 18/10/2011 21:05

Argh thank you for reminding me ladies- must book jabs!!

Am feeling so sickened about the MMR jabs - do you know what is in them?! We are still going to go for it, as the benefits outweigh the negatives, and the grossness, but still, it turns my stomach.

floozietoozie · 18/10/2011 21:38

Happy birthday belatedly to all those I've missed. Glad ds getting better Ty and like the name NoHun Grin.

Brrr tf. I hate being cold. It's got a bit nippier here but not that badly yet.

Well, I'm back in the land of work. Last week was a bit crap, with my manager saying one thing about taking time to ease in and my immediate on-the-day line manager people trying to chuck me in at the deep end. I had words. They backed off. Dd came down with a stomach bug and was chucking up on Sat. I got it Sunday, off work yesterday, OH came down with it in the night, dd was coughing though the night and so was I bizarrely even though I have no other cough symptoms. Ds woke up at 5am and didn't go back to sleep so as you can imagine I am pretty tired now. To top it off, dd had been fine all day in creche but when I gave her milk at bedtime did a massive upchuck all over her, me and the bedroom carpet, so the early bedtime I had been planning for her and ds went out the window while I scrubbed floors and changed clothes/sheets. One more day of work tomorrow then I'm off again for a week and a half as it's half term next week so I got my leave request in for work before I actually went back.

HarrietJones · 19/10/2011 18:27

Re MMR I've heard as many stories about other jabs causing problems as MMR. Both my older ones had measles and dd2 was poorly despite the MMR giving some immunity so I wouldn't not inject unless there was an allergy etc

NoHunIntended · 19/10/2011 18:45

I didn't mean the possible side-effects, it just horrifies me what is actually in them. I won't say here, in case anyone would rather not know.

NoHunIntended · 19/10/2011 18:54

Oops, hit send before I replied to ft. Hope all the sickness disappears soon. Poor family!

HarrietJones · 19/10/2011 19:56

Medication etc is pretty bad full stop for 'I'd rather not ingest yhat'

NoHunIntended · 19/10/2011 21:43

You ain't wrong!

tiredfeet · 20/10/2011 08:40

Oh gosh floozie not a good start for you, hope you all recover soon

Booked mmr for a couple of weeks time then read your comments and realised I need to chat to gp/ ds's specialist about his allergies before we definitely go ahead. Started googling but so hard to work out which sources are reliable!

NoHunIntended · 21/10/2011 15:46

Hope you get good advice from your GP/specialist, tf.

Going to have a nice lazy weekend this weekend - we have been out and about for the last couple of months, just going to have some nice just-us time for a change.

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 22/10/2011 08:57

Morning! Yes NoHun the ingredients are appalling and I cannot understand why some are in them. I haven't booked DD in for them yet as she cannot register at a surgery down south until we have proof of residency which I do not have as I have no utility bills yet or any of the other pieces of paperwork they say they'll only accept. Bloody annoying as its not something I have ever been asked for before.

I should do it sooner rather than later as I may have to go away in Nov which may knock breastfeeding on the head which I am gutted about and I want to be still bfing DD to help soothe her after the jabs.

MonsterBookOfHorrors · 22/10/2011 10:02

Sorry about the sickness bug floozie
Ds had his mmr on Thursday and keeps getting a fever come evening time.

NoHunIntended · 24/10/2011 17:30

Mock, aren't they. :( Yuck. So messed up.
Hope you get the registration thing sorted soon.

MBOH, hope your DS is feeling better.

Happy Birthday, Baby Trib! Hope you have had a great day!
I think that's all of us! Maybe time for a new thread!

HarrietJones · 24/10/2011 18:03

Happy birthday baby trib!

HarrietJones · 25/10/2011 18:12

Am going to the pictures tonight with dd1. First tile I've left dd3 for someone else to put to bed . Eek!

NoHunIntended · 25/10/2011 20:49

Ooh, who is putting her to bed?

Hope you are having a nice time at the flicks! What are you watching?

HarrietJones · 26/10/2011 08:13

Dh put her to bed. Dd1 & I watched contagion. Dd3 did a bit of crying as she woke with a cough as shed normally have milk if that happened. She went back ok though.

NoHunIntended · 26/10/2011 17:37

Glad DD3 was ok!
Did you have a nice time at the cinema?

Anyone else got a super-cuddly LO? The snuggles and hugs I am getting these days are so awesome!
He is also making us chuckle with his possessiveness - if DH and I are having a cuddle, DS will barge on in and separate us, and push DH out and snuggle into me. So cute! Little rascal!

HarrietJones · 26/10/2011 18:13

Was ok. Having a fragile afternoon. Did a children swap with dh outside my office this lunchtime & really need him tonight.
Dd1 is huffing & being 'right' and dd2 is tantrumming.

Nohun dd3 always looks v shocked if I kiss dh , she thinks it's not right cos he has a beard & she doesn't kiss it

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 26/10/2011 20:29

DD isn't that cuddly. She likes to me held and carried, that kind of cuddle, but not a snuggle up on the sofa or anything. She'd rather climb me. Obviously no DH at the moment to wonder about any possessiveness! Very cute of your DS NoHun! What do you do when he does it?!
