:( I hope they get better soon!

NoHunIntended · 11/10/2011 15:58

Oh no re the Chicken Pox. Oh noooo. Hope you are all coping ok. Get well soon, Little Ones!

Thanks for the extended birthday greetings. Have just put the photos up on Fb. Took AGES going through them. But lots of happy memories, and photos to jog my memory, now I am so old! :)

hello all, sorry have disappeared a bit, stupid blackberry internet not working!

happy birthday to all the little ones turning one!!

tribble I would definitely try and argue it if you can, a lot of landlords just try it on. I'm a property lawyer but not residential property - I would say a few marks on the walls after 3 years is definitely reasonable wear and tear, and they should expect to pay to redecorate after a tenant has been in for that length of time. reckon you will find some good advise on mumsnet although there are quite a lot of landlord's on here so some may argue the landlord's side!

I'm off work today as ds has had a reaction to a change of eczema cream and his face is all sore, not good timing for his birthday on Friday. Still we will try and make it as fun for him as we can.

mock i hope your DH manages to skype on little one's birthday.

NoHunIntended · 12/10/2011 13:26

tf, hope his eczema clears up soonest.

TribbleWithoutACause · 12/10/2011 14:37

TF I think with everything thats been going on of late (job, house move, Dh etc) I'm just so tired of fighting. I did ring them and after they clarified things it did seem a bit more reasonable. I'm waiting to hear back from them with a quote and if it's reasonable I'll let it go, if not I may or may not challenge it.

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 12/10/2011 15:22

Hello! Just popping by as I'm at work to say that there are some free cloth nappies up for grabs in the "for Free" section on MN-I don't seem to be able to copy and past the link on my iPad at the moment, but I'm sure it's pretty obvious :)

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 13/10/2011 21:33

DD's birthday tomorrow! She's having her baby friends round and we're having a halloween themed party although the food will be ordinary! Then on Saturday family are coming round for a second little party. [hsmile].

Job is good. Total lifestyle change is not and its truly horrible foisting a new routine, new weekday home and being with someone new all day on DD. She's averaging about 4 hours less sleep a day and I hate having to wake her in the morning. I see her knackered in the morning and then knackered in the evening. I am thinking about getting an au pair then at least DD could sleep as normal and she could go to the childminder for less hours/days and it might feel easier for her. It did not help that she got her first ever cold this week! I feel very very down Sad. Not helped by the fact that I might have to go off somewhere soon, hopefully only for a week but I do not know if that will mean the end of bfing.....With DH away too its pants.

busyprocrastinating · 13/10/2011 22:20

It sounds like all the little ones are having fun birthdays. I came on the other night to post but got distracted reading all the birth announcements on the link that was posted.
monster hope that the chicken pox clear up quickly
nohun had fun having a nosey at all your piccies- your Ds is such a cutie
tired hope that DSs face clears up soon poor little thing. I have probably mentioned before but I am very anti eczema cream!
mock sorry to hear you and dd are struggling with the new routine am sure it will settle down soon when you both get used to things. An au pair might be a good solution though (I was one once upon a time)
It was DDs birthday yesterday we decorated the house with balloons and a banner, I made a big chilli in the slow cooker and made a cake and told people that it was an 'open house' if they wanted to pop in to see DD and have some food. We were inundated with people- at some points it was standing room only! But DD had a great time and was spoilt rotten with some lovely pressies. I might have to rethink christmas now as we just cannot fit any more toys in Grin

tiredfeet · 13/10/2011 23:26

trib I totally understand!! If you have enough on your plate sometimes its best just to eliminate the things you can.

busy that sounds like a lovely day Smile

mock sorry job routine isn't working out for you yet,it might get easier as you both adjust. Harder for you without dh for support right now. hope your Dd has a lovely day tommorrow, halloween theme sounds fun!

Ds's birthday tomorrow, and this time last year I had no inkling it would be! His rocking horse is all made (by dh) and we have made a hilariously amateur looking aeroplane cake for him. We have baby group in the morning and then maybe swings or a boat trip in the afternoon, plus the inevitable trike ride or ten. On Saturday we have a string of visitors, large and small!

Happy belated birthday to Baby busy. Thanks for the cutie comment. Would love to see more photos from you lot!

Happy Birthday, Baby Mock, and Happy Birthday, Baby feet.

Is it just Baby Trib left now?

Mock, job situation sounds rough. :( Hope you can work something out.

MonsterBookOfHorrors · 14/10/2011 09:51

Happy Belated Birthday Baby mock, BusyPro and feet :)
I am becoming a cleaning addicted hermit! Chicken pox is ruling my life, I cant even go and get food today as ds will have to walk an hour and a half as I have no car till end of the month. :( That nobody is offering to help. I may put a hint on fb [hgrin]

TribbleWithoutACause · 14/10/2011 15:04

Mock You know what, if you can do something that makes it easier for you and DD then it's worth the money. I was gutted about the Nanny leaving, but I can tell you one thing. She was worth her weight in gold, it was nice knowing that DS didn't have to be carted off anywhere and he could do as he pleased.

NoHunIntenDEAD · 16/10/2011 12:19

Ty, how is the chicken pox? Did DD get it? Hope all is well.

MonsterBookOfHorrors · 16/10/2011 17:51

Hi NoHun Dd has not got it..yet [hgrin]
I think they have pretty much scabbed over but am not sure as they are mainly on his palms and soles of his feet.
I want to send him Nursery tomorrow but am worried incase he is still contagious and the nursery tell me off [hhmm]

NoHunIntenDEAD · 16/10/2011 19:09

Phew! Fingers crossed for DD then.
I'd probably keep him off - don't want to get unpopular with the other parents!

MonsterBookOfHorrors · 16/10/2011 19:21

No I dont! I think he is still unwell even if the pox are going as he is very sleepy at the moment so will keep him off for that reason. :)

TribbleToilandTrouble · 16/10/2011 22:31

NoHun Is Baby Trib the youngest on here at the mo?

tiredfeet · 17/10/2011 08:13

ty sorry to hear about the chicken pox, hope you are able to get out and about a a bit more soon! Glad dd has escaped so far, one ill child at a time is hard enough.

Its freeeeeezing here. Am going to dig out my hat tonight. Sat at the train station at the minute glaring enviously at another passengers steaming thermos of coffee

This thread dropped of my threads Shock

Happy birthday to those I've missed , is it just baby trib to go?

Just back from a nice weekend inStratford, dd3 loved all sleeping in one room & the en suite! Doubt well be able to do it again so suggestions of hotels you meet with joining rooms would be useful!

Starting to get busy at work now Im on leave today as I expected to be tired after the 5/1room thing but I'm ok.

Bit worried about dh , he doesn't do ill & went to dr last week about a hand problem ( likely he needs an op-which means he can't work- no pay) and complained of chest pains( having bloods & ECG done).

NoHunIntenDEAD · 17/10/2011 13:20

I think it's just Baby Trib to go, unless anyone else hasn't passed one yet?

Sorry to here about Husband HJ. Hope it's nothing serious.

TribbleToilandTrouble · 17/10/2011 20:54

HJ Oh that pants, I hope he gets better soon and that it's something or nothing.

Well the kitchen idea for DS has fallen by the wayside a bit, the one that I saw for half price has since gone back up. So I've decided to wait and see what kind of money he gets for his birthday, I've seen a lovely wooden one online thats the same kind of price as the little tikes ones so I may end up going for that.

So instead we ended up getting him a wooden pirate ship that turns into a Noahs ark as well. I don't know how the creators went from a biblical story to swashbuckling scurves of the sea but it amused me in any case.

tiredfeet · 18/10/2011 08:24

I love the sound of the pirate ship/noah ark trib - can you link to it? (Thinking of christmas...).

hj I'm sorry to hear about your dh, what a worry. They often do ecg's as a precaution now though, so hopefully that's all it is. Thought of the op must be worrying too. I love the sound of you all sharing one room, bet it felt like a big sleepover party for the girls!

Wearing two jumpers, coat scarf and hat today, just about stopped my blood turning to ice while waiting for the train.

We are trying to plan a november weekend away with ds, somehwere in the uk. Any suggestions? I think probably somewhere near the coast, and that's got good places for trike riding and toddling...also cottage, or hotel? Can't decide which will be more relaxing now he's older...
