I hated my quinny when I had it for ds, I got so cross as he kept being tipped backwards in it Hmm
I feel very upset for magic8's family, it made me cry :(

Mock, my advice re nappies would be to try a few different types. Happy shopping!

You need a Stokke XPlory, Trib!

TribbleWithoutACause · 20/08/2011 17:39

nohun well I did happen to see a mum out with one today

bestfootforwards · 20/08/2011 19:29

Hello all, sorry I disappeared for a while, dh has been doing the fastnet race so I took ds up north to see my parents, was lovely fun catching up with people but also exhausting, as soon as I got ds to sleep in the evenings my parents would be wanting to talk to me, felt like I never got a moments peace! Dh so much more relaxed now the race is over though, so hopefully life will get a bit easier now Smile

Will now go and catch up with all your posts...

tribble how do you find the bjcm? I tested my friend's this week and it felt so easy to steer etc, I'm really tempted. Our britax now feels so heavy and unweildy and I want something that will fold down small

mock I am so pleased you managed to chat to dh by skype

So, so, sad about the poster who died leaving such young little ones

HarrietJones · 20/08/2011 20:07

Don't know what you are talking about re prams but I love my mountain buggy!

HarrietJones · 20/08/2011 20:08

Gave dd3 passion fruit with her pudding tonight. She lived it but not easy to handle!

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 20/08/2011 20:44

I couldn't handle passion fruit without a spoon! DD is back on track with BLW. Its only taken 2.5 weeks.

Sadly that Red Arrows pilot has died Sad. Very unusual that he didn't eject. Must have tried to steer the aircraft to a safer spot to crash to save others Sad.

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 20/08/2011 20:46

[Sad][Sad] I knew him from a previous post in Rutland. Really nice guy. Sad for his family.

HarrietJones · 20/08/2011 20:50

V sad. Feel for his family. :(

Passion fruit was on a spoon and on other fruit. Was definately hunted out though

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 20/08/2011 20:50

I'll shut up after this post- he did eject but he was too low. He fell into a river and died with terrible injuries. At least it would have been fast Sad.

HarrietJones · 20/08/2011 20:58

:( I thought I heard something about a river. What went wrong?

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 20/08/2011 21:12

They'd done their display and were flying in formation over Christchurch. He broke off and flew low over a village obviously having trouble and flew towards a field. He must have ejected very very low and the plane crashed into the field and he landed in the river. He did come away from the seat and ejector seats are designed to throw you high if you eject low so you have time to come back to earth safely iyswim. I wonder if he was trying to eject and only managed it as the plane was crashing hence the terrible injuries. If the aircraft was at an angle when he ejected, the seat could have catapulted him into the ground. It must have all gone horribly wrong for him. Locals pulled him from the river very quickly and he was already dead. Crash investigation reports generally take a year to get published after the investigative board is set up.

SeaShellsInTheMoonlight · 20/08/2011 21:49

:( so sad. So terrible for his family. We watched the display yesterday and today as it's so local, can't believe it-must have been something majorily wrong with the aircraft. Local people think he stayed in so long to ensure he didn't hit the houses (he was very close). :( thoughts are with them all.

SpringFlowers · 20/08/2011 22:13

Oh dear, how very sad. We need some good news on our thread...

SeaShellsInTheMoonlight · 20/08/2011 22:15

Too true! I'll start-today dd2 stroked her first horse "daa" and ds1 was cute for a whole day :) lol

TribbleWithoutACause · 20/08/2011 22:29

BFF if I could marry a pram, I'd marry that one. I love mine, it's so light and easy to handle. Nice sized basket, you have to put things in from the side but I don't find it an issue (others do I don't see why though). The raincover also fits in a handy pocket on the back of the seat, seriously I buy it again in a heartbeat. Plus one handed fold, I can do it whilst holding ds.

SpringFlowers · 20/08/2011 22:31

Ruby gas a tooth and it's been pain free. That's got to count as good news!

TribbleWithoutACause · 20/08/2011 22:31

Oh good news from me, work wasn't horrid this week. I've also got an appointment to see someone about my postnatal anxiety as well. I'm really pleased about that one.

SpringFlowers · 20/08/2011 22:33

has a tooth Blush

Tribble - marry a pram??? It's a good job we know you otherwise you'd need sectioning Wink

SpringFlowers · 20/08/2011 22:35

Smile tribble

Why are we all still awake. Must sleep!

HarrietJones · 20/08/2011 22:40

I'm here, feeding & waiting for dh. He should be home in about 10 min so no point in trying to sleep as he will wake me.

Any suggestions about managing work /PND? I'm very unpredictable this week. Dh said today he has been tiptoeing around me ( dd1/2 have been playing upstairs/out a lot too). If I hot more time off(sock) I can't guarantee this wouldn't happen in the build up again so I have to go back but am v worried I'll sit & cry all day.

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 20/08/2011 22:47

I wish I had that pram now Trib Envy. If you don't mind me asking, how does your PN anxiety manifest itself? Who's the appt with?

Also Envy at your DD's painless tooth eruption [Spring].

Smile at your DCs Seashells. We've had lots of laughs for the past couple of days too and DD playing peekaboo with her rag in the car. So cute.

HJ I have no idea I'm afraid. Could you go and discuss it with the GP?

Off to bed now.....must sleep....although I did take the first sachet of a box of spatone this evening and I feel rather chirpy. The doc said my iron levels were normal at 33 but the normal range apparently is 15-235 so I decided a supplement might help even though I get plenty of iron in my diet. They're not bad and apparently don't have the side effects that other iron supplements come with. Ooh, talking of iron...DD had spinach for the first time yesterday and loved it!

TribbleWithoutACause · 20/08/2011 23:41

mock I worry chronically to the point where I just won't sleep, I imagine bad things will happen, impending sense of doom yaddy yada. I have always been a worrier but this was on a whole other level. I got panic attacks during my pregnancy and spent the first few months of ds's life c
