Deb are you smirking at my non-swearing swearing? I think I do it because I used to post on another [gasp] forum that d out any norty words, not because I never say norty things myself....didn't want you to think I was one of those who went ffffffff....ffff...fiddlesticks, or who said 'oh bother' when something goes wrong, or anything like that!

Although I suppose I'm going to have to learn....

reastie · 26/08/2011 13:51

what's wrong with 'oh bother' delia Grin Wink [innocent non swearer except when i really hurt myself ]

janedoe25 · 26/08/2011 13:54

debka hug gratefully received, not a good day today. Six months ago today at 9.30pm ish my baby girl fell asleep. Sad

debka · 26/08/2011 13:58

delia I never swear apart from the odd bloody or bugger! Sometimes you need something a bit stronger though but I couldn't bring myself to type it (prude)!

Imy has said in the last week:
(in car) it's bloody miles away again Daddy
(to dog) bugger off
(to DH) Jack (dog) ran and ran to bloody pub again!

We have both washed our mouths out with soap....

debka · 26/08/2011 14:01

o jane Sad

i'll light a candle in church today for our Zoe

reastie · 26/08/2011 14:06

jane :( I'll give alice a specially big cuddle tonight for zoe. Can't even contemplate how hard this all must be for you

deb I remember saying 'cock' all the time when I was really little (not sure why, hadn't heard it at home for sure.....) as a 'oh bother' type expression. My mum had to tell me one day what cock also meant Shock - I had no idea at the time and never used that expression again Blush

Emski76 · 26/08/2011 14:35

Jane, thinking of you today. I will cherish every moment I have with Noah today

NeedToSleepZZZ · 26/08/2011 15:14

jane sending you a big hug, have been thinking about little Zoe today x

reastie, deb and delia I find it much better to swear in french as it just sounds more like you mean it Wink but might try the 'cock' one out reastie Grin

Meant to say earlier, thank you for the lovely comments about Ben's pics, I'm just going to upload another one that is my all time favourite [huge pfb emoticon]

OH has been complaining that he has a cold, poor thing, he called me from work at lunchtime to say he'll need to go to bed when he gets home. Brilliant start to the bank holiday, he's such a lightweight and probably just tired from staying up watching films last night, ggrrrrr Angry

ledkr · 26/08/2011 15:18

Hi all,im back Smile Have just skimmed thru the last 2 pages, anyone fancy giving me a summary please?

Well had a nice time and weather not too bad but i did miss you lot cos Dilly had her first illness and lets just say if moaning was a sport she'd be in the Olympics.I can honestly say she did not stop moaning, slept for mimiscual amounts and was just awfull. I had to take her to the Drs on Monday, she had a chest infection so no doubt she was ill but good god the moaning!! She also woke most nights which is pretty shite in a caravan when trying to keep from waking others and Ella.It was hard to enjoy anything tbh as she would just be moaning away in her buggy whilst we did it.Dh went all pfb on me and was concerned about the noise of the disco etc, grrrrrrr i told him to go back with her as it wasnt fair on Ella to be tucked up in bed at 7pm.
The last 2 days were much better but with much snot and she has also stopped eating completely and lost loads of weight.I am trying to re start it now she is better but no joy.She defo seems more keen on blw than mush which she rejects almost totally. I would ask my hv but i havent seen her since Dilly was 6 weeks Shock

Right ill try to have a little catch up now xx

ledkr · 26/08/2011 15:22

needto i hate that, calling to warn you he will be going to bed, just to ensure he wont be doing anything. I looked after 3 small kids whilst having chemo, its not always necessary to take to your bed. Tsk Men!

Four4me · 26/08/2011 15:48

Just popped in and saw your post Jane so sad for you. Will give T, J, I and A an extra kiss tonight for precious angel Zoe. You are truly amazing how you have coped. Life is so unfair at times. Will have a quiet moment for you at 9.30 tonight. Big hugs.

Went to a park for a picnic today and we got totally drenched.....not fun!

Off to read through properly, oh and welcome home ledkr hope D is better soon. needto love all the photos!

Got Tom at the doctors tonight poor thing is suffering with his ears again.

Sorry for the muddled up post! Story of my summer holiday life.

debka · 26/08/2011 15:57

LEDKR!!!!!! I missed you Grin Blush

Sorry you had such a merde time (see what I did there needto?!). I'm sure once Dills is better she'll put the weight back on. Odd how a few have colds at the same time.

Hmmm... what's going on.. knitta reappeared for a moan about DH (we all sympathised), think emski might have had a DH related moan too, reastie got through gpa's funeral, borg was in a threesome Wink, delia went back to work and loves it and appreciates C even more, wiggles has palmed the girls off on whoever will have them whilst she continues her affair with Idris, mrwiggles has completed his course in foot massage and will be round to do yours ASAP, mizk's Nate has escaped and run away, and my Imy has learned to swear.

I may have made a few of those up.

Grin
Deliaskis · 26/08/2011 16:17

Deb fab update!

General am going to try and start saying 'oh bother' more, see if people notice me suddenly speaking like a member of the Famous Five.

NeedTo that sounds like a pathetic phone call - the point of which was presumably to say 'so don't expect me do anything actually useful or helpful at all. Oh and by the way I might also expect you to wait on me hand and foot'. Lame lame lame.

Ledkr welcome back - I thought it was you who said a week away in a caravan was your worst nightmare, and yet lo, in a quirky twist of fate, you have yourself been for a week away in a caravan. Sorry Dilly has been poorly and moany. I hate moany days, but at least usually with non-poorly babies it is just an hour or at most a cr@p day. Glad you had a good last couple of days tho. Sorry she's stopped eating, but try not to worry - I am sure she will catch up, everybody (and by that I mean much wiser people than me) say illness and all sorts of other things can just put them off for a bit. Is she doing OK with milk (in a Dilly mini-feed type of way)?

reastie although I have never met you I genuinely feel like you would be one of the least likely people of my acquaintance to use the work cock.

jane so sorry, thinking of you and Zoe today and will be extra specially grateful for what I have.

Dx

reastie · 26/08/2011 16:23

[excited] deb I can nearly beat your free toy from mn to test - I've been selected to test out a variety of new unhealthy walkers crispy things Grin . They arrive next week Grin . Will report back on how long they last tasty they are Hmm

Welcome home ledkr and a whole week of a moany dilly Shock

delia my phrase of choice is 'nutters' Wink and in my defence i didn't know what cock meant when I used it - i was only little Wink

needto hope dh helps out and doesn't moan too much

ledkr · 26/08/2011 16:36

thanks all.deb well summarised but i will need further details re borgs threesome asap.

delias ok ok i did say that you got me. I think the image you painted at the time was of a small towable caravan in an empty damp field with a chemical or no toilet.
I myself was in a big 2 bedrooms, central heated, fitted kitchen flat screen tv on which i dodnt find too bad Grin I did make a song and dance of reminding dh that i used to have a convertable car and 2 long haul holidays ayear when i met him and i now have a family car and holiday at haven!!

reastie glad the funeral was ok,my nan is back in hospital again, its not looking as if she can go home now so we will have to face up to looking for a nursing home Sad

jane sorry you are feeling crap, ill go and read your post now.

ledkr · 26/08/2011 16:42

oops-sorry jane i do normally remember the date.
I just dont know what to say sometimes and yet desparately search for the right words which may help you,but nothing will help you but time and a little brother or sister for Zoe.
The only way is up i guess xx

wigglesrock · 26/08/2011 19:36

ledkr lovely to see you Grin, my granny went into nursing care a few years ago, it was really, really difficult for the first while, esp on my Dad but its really nice, staff are lovely and there was really no other choice but its a very difficult time x

Idris has finally let me have a bit of a break Wink, soooo glad I missed the cursing conversation Blush, I have a dreadful tendency to use certain words as an adjective ie the bastarding car broke down etc

Four4me hope Toms' ears are getting some relief.

jane xxxx as always

MizK hope you've got your baby big son home safe and are embarrassing him playing it cool with the hugs and kisses

tadjennyp · 26/08/2011 19:38

Hugs to Jane, thinking of you and Zoe. xxx
Welcome back ledkr! Hope Dilly is 100% soon and sorry about your nan.
Loving the idea of Borg's garden being the local lovers' lane!

ILovePonyo · 26/08/2011 20:52

Hello all, just a quick one from me - lots to read!

jane I'm so sorry, I feel like such a twat because I thought it was 28th that was 6 months, thats why I asked if your df would be about on that date. Thinking of you and little Z today, like ledkr said I don't have any words to help but I am sending you much love and hugs xxx

ledkr pleased to see you back, shame about dils being moany poorly. I was imagining a caravan like delia - like the one in the Father Ted episode of you've seen it - but your sounds lovely!

Borg Grin at the incident last night, let us know if theres an update!

Well we went to sealife today - oh my god what a lovely day :) Was dreading queues etc but no queue AT ALL and dd loved it, all big eyed at everything and watching the fish, then fell asleep in the gift shop completely knackered Grin Put her to bed an hour later than normal because of travelling back, I doubt that will mean a lie in though as she sletp a lot in the car.

Off to sort out house now, back later...

reastie · 26/08/2011 20:54

ledkr :( to nursing home. My Grandma (the one that lives near Cheltenham) is prob going into a home (she has dementia and it's got pretty bad and grandad (my other grandad) is really struggling to care for her) - wouldn't it be funny if they both went into the same home!

jane incase I don't come back later just wanted to send you lots of love for this evening, esp in the next hour. xx

hubbard86 · 26/08/2011 21:15

thinking of you jane. Have lit a candle for zoe x

wigglesrock · 26/08/2011 21:28

xxxxx for baby Zoe and her amazing Mum.

OP posts:
janedoe25 · 26/08/2011 21:44

Thank you all, as always.

ponyo Zoe was born on the 28th but we found out she had died on the 26th. I feel worse on the 26th, the memories i have of that night are horrid but the 28th is so bitter sweet, it was the day I finally got to meet and hold her but also the day I had to say goodbye. I am feeling much better now, I am just so grateful and honoured to have grown Zoe for 9 months, to have her part of life for those precious months and the forever to follow.

Grannyapple · 26/08/2011 21:44

Jane thinking of you at this time xxxxxx

ILovePonyo · 26/08/2011 21:59

jane thanks for that, sorry you had to explain it I feel like I should have known. I understand what you mean about 28th being bittersweet but 26th being horrible. Pleased you're feeling better, I hope you are taking care of yourself and your df is too xx
