We went to Wollaton park today, had a picnic and nice walk around the lake, dd seemed to enjoy herself and when I was taking a photo of dp and dd a very nice lady asked if we wanted her to take one of all 3 of us, then said "you won't get many with you all in you know!" which I thought was true. I have vowed to do that as a good deed for someone myself now!

Well, tis Alices first night in her own room tonight. Not going swimmingly yet - she's sleeping on my bed next to me and my boob . We had to collect thre christening cake today for the christening that now doesn't exist until november. DH has a massive chocolate cake to munch through all on his own

No plops here. I have done everything I can think of including swimming, going out without a changing bag and change of clothes, laying him down nude on my freshly changed sheets - these things used to work without fail!

I thought all the fresh air yesterday might help dd sleep but she still woke up a few times, getting her arm/leg stuck in the bars of the cot or rolling over and bumping her head Am considering cot bumpers tbh. Not looking forward to today. It's dh's brothers wedding, which means fil will be there. Have not spoken to him since he threatened me back in jan. I will be civil as a wedding is no place to say anything, but i can't stand to be in the same room as him. Have ironed toms suit and freyas dress and my dress (haven't worn a dress since july last year for bff's wedding and i was maid of honour so i had too). Seeing as i bought it 6yrs ago for a wedding and 2 kids later i can still get it on and zipped up is a miracle. It's a lovely 50's style black and white tea length dress.

hubbard how are you feeling in yourself now? I hope you're not still blaming yourself. You're going to have to supply piccies now of you/tom/freya so we can admire how lovely you all look for the wedding - the dress sounds lovely

Hello!

Have just tried to catch up post hols and I can hardly see let alone read I'm so tired!

Hols were lovely although not quite as much help having the GP's around as I'd hoped. DP really enjoyed having so much time with R so that made it worth it. Wedding was gorgeous too and I got to indulge!

R has come on loads this week - she's eating two full meals a day (still mainly purees and melty type finger foods) and has almost mastered crawling, well, backwards at least! Cannot believe how gorgeous they are at this age, I'm a proper proud mummy when she's singing away.

Anyway, that's all me me me but will promise to be less self centred now!
