Hi ladies,
I have for some reason been coming on reading and catching up a bit but haven't really been posting much. However, am still here! Hope babies slept well last night.
jane the dress is really stunning, you'll look lovely and just as importantly you will feel amazing in it.
reastie brave lady, glad it went OK. Completely nodding in agreement re your comments re DH just thinking about getting himself ready!
Ledkr sorry but you just said (in a roundabout way) that you fancy Hagrid?
Emski sorry to hear your sad news. He is at peace now.
wiggles and Ledkr sorry to hear about your GP worries.
I had a funeral on Tuesday, my Mum's closest friend, who I have known my whole life. She had been poorly with BC on and off for about 12 years, and it finally got her. Very sad. There were about 200 people there, - she was such a lovely lady, and everybody knew her. Sad day, although wonderful service at the same time. I was exhausted for the rest of the day though. Hadn't realised how much it would take out of me.
LOL at 'swimming costume mishaps' I have a lovely black tankini that I bought a couple of years ago for a holiday to Barbados, and there, I was mainly drifting around the swimming pool, reclining on the deck of a yacht, or sunbathing in the garden, so I didn't actually 'do' much in it IYSWIM. I am now wearing the self same one for Water Babies, and the section below the boobs never stays in place when we're bobbing up and down with babies etc. exposing all my post-baby flab and lurvely stretch marks. Nice. Oh well, I am at least the only one in my class in a non-maternity cossie so I suppose it's not all bad.
C was fab at water babies again this week, and we are again having a really nice week. I have to say, it's actually about 3 weeks now that we have really not 'fallen out' (as in had a sh!t day), so am
about that. But then thinking, you could say, we're due... [glass half empty icon].
Went to look at nursery yesterday [yikes]. It was really nice and both DH and I are happy with it. It is weird though, and I am a bit on edge about things likee how they will get her to sleep (i.e. you need to spot her cues as otherwise she goes manic and lots of screaming ensues) at the right time etc. I also felt stupid as the only questions I could think if asking were about food and how they would deal with her starting solids etc. They kept showing me menus they used and I kept asking things like 'but what if by the time she starts, she has only had mashed carrot?'. DH was looking at me with a
shut up about mashed carrots crazy lady.
C is having bits of baby rice too. I am just starting to add some rice to the last bits of bottles that she struggles with (not every time, just the ones she is not happy to have), as because of reflux, she seems to find it easier to have something a bit more solid going down. Only rice so far, have got some porridge and also a few veg jars that I will start experimenting with next week (when she's 20 weeks). She seems to like having the rice though, keeps grabbing the spoon and ramming it towards her face, then when she's had some, holding her mouth open like a sparrow waiting for more.
Anyway, that's enough random waffle for now. Hope today is kind to you all.
