But naughtyboy's 15 hours will be free in Jan so wouldn't that then 'pay' for noisyboy's place even if you buy a house - or is the funded place already costed in iyswim?

Getting scared about aurelia going next month altho I think she'll be fine. She's very used to the place and the staff from when we collect felix, they all dote on her already which is lovely. But she's my baby!!! :(

memph your shots story reminded me of my poor cousin's dh (then fiance) he bought a 'round' of champagne for him and his stags costing 1300. This was on top of the long weekend to barcelona which is where they were. The wedding was very nearly called off!

Not only have I seen it mlic but I have commented.

My waking up ideas are getting seriously distorted, G just woke up, I turned to look at the clock. It was 5.40am and I thought "Oh, that's pretty good! Nearly 6am!" Confused.

Meant to be going to see a friend today, it's her 30th birthday party tonight but I don't think I can make the party - will be too knackered - and she lives about 40 mins drive away (Auckland is a very spread out city). So I may go up in the day to catch up with her. A is meant to be having her first gymnastics class, she's been so excited, waiting till she wakes up to see how she is i.e. how ill she is, she'll be so disappointed if she can't go.

CakeandRoses · 10/06/2011 20:05

Well I now know the difference between a toddlers' film night and an adults' one:

The adults don't have to pause it for a mass poo and wee break.

Just putting A down then freeeeeedom!

mlic can't get on fb. What's your vid?

WhatSheSaid · 10/06/2011 20:06

It's a very cute vid of W walking (in the wobbly way they do when they start)

The vid of W walking is just too cute mlic Grin

D is standing on his own for a while now but not walking as yet. Wont be long I reckon though, maybe by his 1st birthday.

Dylthan · 10/06/2011 20:31

mlic that video is great it is unbelievably cute I can't wait until Bethan starts walking.

albrecht those pictures are so beautiful. The 4 day old one brought a tear to my eye such a perfect little moment in time.

mlic I just showed DH and he thought it was very funny, I love his over-excited panting noises Grin (W's that is Hmm)

Is anyone else's baby suddenly gone really fussy? S won't eat anything other than porridge at the moment and I can't figure out why. He'll eat grapes/raspberries/apples and porridge and that's it. I have no idea why he's suddenly gone off potato/rice/meat/crackers Confused

Dylthan · 10/06/2011 21:18

chulita we don't have that problem I'm afraid Bethan is a so greedy she normally finishes her meals first and then tries to wrestle dylans meal of him. She has to be physically restrained so he can finish. It dosnt help that he takes forever to eat.

Chulita · 10/06/2011 21:23

I'm just getting frustrated by it tbh, he's so little already that he just can't afford not to eat. Not sure what to try him with, he won't touch egg or anything bread-like, he can't have dairy cos that still makes him sick, he's not keen on meat/fish, doesn't eat biscuits Confused I'm still putting it in front of him but it gets dropped on the floor straight away.

dh a week from now and you'll be married Grin

I thought the exact same thing this morning when the clock said 5.35 - help me!

This is going to have to be a quick post since it's stupidly late (we had friends over) but oh my God, I've been chosen for this! Shock I never normally get selected for anything!! My week has been pretty rubbish, so it was nice to finally have a happy surprise in my inbox. Grin

No idea what I'll get... I suspect M might do well out of it. Wink

Anyway, sorry for the interruption, as you were everyone! Will try and find time tomorrow to catch up properly with the thread. Blush

CakeandRoses · 10/06/2011 23:54

went to see x-men tonight. it was actually fabulous! really cool plot and actors. i thought the previous ones were a bit crap (oh, we've got a bunch of mutants, that'll do us) whereas this was a good film (i have an a-level in film studies so i'm qualified in this shit Wink).

Yay!!! congrats spirael Grin make sure you buy yourself something geeky lovely.

Indulge me, I'm thinking you did a bit of RPGing tonight, elves, orks and hobbits or somesuch. am i close? Grin

i'm actually a bit jealous - my father went thru a stage of D&D and did some amazing games for us when I was 11ish. mind-blowing stuff. My fave character was an Amazon whose name escapes me.

Wtf have i been smoking this evening? can't believe i've just written this on Mumsnet.

Loved mlic's E's maffis poo Grin. I'm noting that one for future use (the maffis not the poo). properly snorted at chul clarifying that her dh wasn;t panting along to the vid.

CakeandRoses · 10/06/2011 23:54

and what's been up with your week spirael?

malibustac · 11/06/2011 00:00

mlic your video is so cute, I'm hoping R follows suit soon.

chulita R can be fussy, but I just keep trying her and following mlic's advice brought her milk down. Have you tried spoon feeding? Hope that doesn't sound cheeky just meant because you said he throw it on the floor when you give it to him. R also does this so we have to do a mixture of spoon feed and blw. We also found if we distract her (usually her brother dances about silly) she doesn't realise she eating as much but also is happy to eat.

Well done spireal let us know what you buy.

cakes what dvd's did you watch?

wss hope a gets to her class

More crap here. R has a very high temp. Dps mum has a serious infection. Ds's ps3 has broken. Ah feck it what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Well I'm off to bed as I'm expecting a crap night.

malibustac · 11/06/2011 00:06

Sorry cakes xpost, just saw you went to the cinema.

Needle · 11/06/2011 01:24

Hi ladies, quick post cos i'm knackered and already in bed. Dh is out with his political friends, so i'm not expecting him back till the morning- i'm already preparing for the row when he rolls in at 10am.

Tomorrow is international Knit in Public day, i'm sure you'll all be excited to know, especially you TSC ;-) we're having a do at the knitting shop I go to, so have made an earl grey layer cake to take with me. I've no idea what it will taste like though and am worried it will be Yuck.

I will try and catch up properly tomorrow x
