What a horrid xh ledkr , oh I want a curry party now!

Just rung dh to tell him I want a take away tonight! Think I deserve one, he has been down south all week and I have had all 4 to myself. He said he prob will be late home. So will have to wait till tomorrow night Sad

MizK love pub lunch babies!

wigglesrock · 26/05/2011 12:49

MizK People used to say that to Olivia all the time, I was always a bit piss away off you oil painting to them Grin I remember when we had our car accident, Olivia was 7 months and when I was in A&E, my dad took her to the Childrens Hospital to be checked out, and the Dr made some comment about oh lots of padding, she's fine - my normally mildmannered Dad went through him for a short cut Grin.

Debka Sorry, hope you all manage with the hotel ok, don't flounce, there's no point I tried and everyone just went on without me Blush

ledkr once a wanker, always a wanker Grin but that was a horrible thing for him to post.

Delia well done on the daytime nap, and good luck for the swimming.

Snarfle welcome, love the name Will

reastie hope injections go well

Ok time to be afraid, my Shred has arrived Shock, have just had a packet of crisps to prepare me for later.

byronicheroine · 26/05/2011 13:59

MizK don't worry, I just took K into work and everyone was like "OMG he's HUUUUUGE" and I felt the same way, but then reading people's responses I realised it is a kind of compliment - especially for a bf baby, so don't take it that way. I think people just want to say something, anything, so (hopefully) after they say how cute a baby is, they'll look for another comment.

So, my day so far has been a disaster, and it's not over yet.
Got up and got both of us ready. The weather was looking a bit dodgy so I carefully sorted out all the things for the pram, jacket etc. for baby, and we were off. I had to go into work to sort out yet MORE paperwork, I'm beginning to think it's not worth it for crappy maternity pay that the Greek government probably won't be able to pay.
At work, baby's size being duely discussed, and the heavens open with the most incredible thunder and lightening display, making baby and me jump and cry. I wait it out at work.
Going back to the bus, it rains again and I try to avoid annoying helpful people telling me the baby's getting wet (under the plastic rain shield??) and that I should have brought an umbrella (they were, annoyingly, right!!).
Baby is crying on the damp, steamy bus (unpleasant) and more people come to peer in help.
Switch to the tram, still in the rain. baby cries a bit then stops. As i get off, old greek man tells me that my baby has stopped crying. I thank him and try not to punch him.
Get home, soaked, and feed baby. Baby does explosive up the back poo, and pukes as i carry him down the corridor to be changed. Clean up, and for lack of places to put him that aren't poo-covered, put him on the bed (you can see what's coming). Change MY clothes, which are wet and pooey. Baby pees on the bed, nicely missing the muslin i'd hopefully placed under him.
I've run away to MN with a cuppa before heading out again to the accountant with MORE bits of paper, to collect a measly 91 euro cheque (I know I should be grateful but..) that the government can't pay yet as they have no money!
Joy! Feel better after that mega-rant (sorry Blush ) and will treat myself to a Cinnabon on the way home. For those that don't know, cinnabon is a sticky cinnamon bun (duh!) the size of your head, with various cream cheese frosting, pecans and chocolate things. Yum!

wigglesrock · 26/05/2011 14:32

byronicheroine have 2 Cinnabons, if it helps I had Anna in the bank this morning and she was crying a little (just before she fell asleep) and several people commented "Oh, someones not happy", no shit Sherlock, oh sorry you meant the baby Grin

chocoroo · 26/05/2011 16:46

Afternoon all,

Been out for the day with a friend and her 7 month old so just catching up. felt a bit odd as her LO is only 1/2lb bigger than R. So MizK and all the others with Bonnyrigg babies, you're not alone. Her first comment was about R's size. My Grandma even asked me the other day if she was getting fat Shock

Byronic Those cinnabons sound amazing. I'm chomping on some carrot sticks trying to work up enough energy to shred off the carrot cake I ate at lunch time.

Deb hope all is ok now you're away.

reastie Hope the injections don't upset things to much.

Delia I'm about to sign up for swimming. May need second mortgage first though as it's so expensive!

ledkr Enjoy your curry party. Am v jealous as we had a curry yesterday from Tesco. It was supposed to be for two but only had 5 pieces of chicken!

reastie · 26/05/2011 17:01

Injections fine thanks. Alice currently sleeping after a mammouth poo that went all over me and her bouncing chair Confused . Hope she stays OK and no big reaction as my gp coming over for the week end to see her for the first time.

Just watched exerts from shred. I have to say [proud] it looks quite similar to a class I used to do at the gym, only my class was an hour [super proud emoticon]. This was a couple of years ago tho when I was fit, could never do it at the minute. We had a fabbo instructor - anyone done the natalie cassidy workout dvd? The trainer that does that was my class instructor - man she works you hard - I always felt like I would collapse when I walked out of that class. I did the erin o'brien post natal workout this afternoon . Was good (well, relatively) and I can build up fitness and move on to the shred in time.

Alices dog toy sophie arrived today - she loves the squeaks :)

Collected the bouncer and still way too big for her but looks really good. Will post a piccie of her being swamped by it sitting in it.

No curry for tea here - just made spinach and ricotta pasta bake Grin

byron what a day!

snarfle welcome :)

sure I've missed lots of what I was going to say Hmm

janedoe25 · 26/05/2011 18:19

byron Sounds like you need a bottle of wine to go with your bun, hope your day got better.

hi snarfle

reastie im glad A is fine after injections. I do the Natalie Cassidy dvd,it's quite good but i struggle a bit as i have no co-ordination and end up doing my own thing!

Im having chicken skewers with peri peri marinade with salad and pita for tea.

byronicheroine · 26/05/2011 18:32

Ha ha thanks guys - did get better, we went to the Mall and watched a storm come in over the sea - t'was quite impressive.
reastie love those poos (it's the only way to cope )
jane love peri peri sauce - I was treated to my first Nando's at christmas and totally made a pig of myself enjoyed it as i was very pregnant

Snarfle · 26/05/2011 18:48

Hi all - thanks for welcoming me Smile

Uh oh Ledkr I seem to be everthing i'm not meant to be for this thread. I have 2 sophies (both gifts), which Will loves, was quite poorly after birth so lost a lot of my weight in the first week (weight gone - yes - body shape back to normal - nowhere near [can't get into pre pregnancy clothes!]) but I certainly get stressed more than once a day!

Have read some of the posts on this thread and you all seem like a lovely lot! Oh and I'm gonna buy the shred dvds it looks great!

Take care all Smile

Well haven't looked at the Shred yet Blush Mr W is back to work tomorrow night for the weekend, so going to give it a rattle tomorrow but tonight it's fajitas and the Kings Speech.

Think we might try banana in the cot, its lovely - Mr W put it up this afternoon and I'm v impressed. Am heading into work for my first KIT day tomorrow and to be honest am regretting saying yes Sad I'm only doing a 5 hour shift but as soon as I'm done I've to bring all 3 girls to Sofias' gymnastics class because Mr W needs to get a few hours sleep before starting the nights.

reastie · 26/05/2011 21:43

just wanted to quickly share tesco online have got 25% off clothes and also £10 off when you spend £40. I don't work for them Wink but just got a nice stock up of baby clothes quite cheaply Grin

ah jane I love the complex excercise routines that tax my brain Grin - makes me feel like I've achieved something - the more complex (within reason) the better. Not sure if baby brain will change this though Hmm

Alice only just settled to sleep (nearly 2 hours after trying to get her to sleep Confused

reastie thanks for the tescos tip, going to order some bits for d and same new underwear as i really do think the size 16-18 belly warmers i had for pg/post section need to go now BlushBtw arent boots clothes sweet?I bought her a little stripes dress with red spotted leggings looks so cute.
How is everyone getting on shredding?I put my black jeans on today which were very uncomfortable last time i tried and they fit a treat makes it worth it.
wiggles we do that here-weekend things in the week due to working many weekends.
Just back from the big party,my mum got D to sleep so i could eat but id have rather held her so she was nice and tired when we got back,i now have a baby with a cold/regression who has slept for 2 hrs and not had her normal bedtime routine.I have just bathed her as if to say all is normal and dh has taken her up,i am making tea then going up to sit in bed as i think we may be in for some fun, worse thing is ive been up since 6.30 and dh has had 3 pints and is annoyingly tipsy,he got in a tis when we were arguing about splitting the bill and is dozier than ever,i asked for the car keys about 30 times whilst my bil stood holding a sleeping 4 stone Ella in his arms waiting to put her in the car. Oh yes and i cant stop farting Shock must be the curry and the half a lager.
Oh yes Jane, dont think i havent noticed you havent bought a shred yet either,no amount of talk of Nathalie Cassidy will disguise that one Grin

wigglesrock · 26/05/2011 22:05

Sorry americanexpat managed to delete you and double canoe - think thats the list now. Loving the film Smile

ILovePonyo · 26/05/2011 22:12

Good evening all, bloody hell I don't post for a day and a million posts to catch up with!

Obv can't comment on everyone :) but wanted to say deb hope you've had a good day today compared to yest, and reastie I have been to toys r us today and bought the exact same black out blind after seeing your link, and the fact that dp prob won't manage to put up a curtain Grin so fingers crossed, the black out is up and really hoping it means dd sleeps a bit more in the morning. If she still wakes up at 5am it means its not the light, its her rubbish sleeping and thats even worse!!

Welcome snarfle, I have received my shred dvd in the post today but don't tell ledkr, I couldn't do it today because I was, erm somewhat busy, and can't do it next week b'cos dp is off all week and don't want him to see me jumping round like a loon. So...

byroni Shock at your day from hell, glad it got better. You have made me want a nandos even though I had curry for my tea Grin

Hello everyone else, heres hoping for sleepy babies tonight (and at 5am)

wigglesrock · 26/05/2011 23:06

Loved, loved the film, can't remember the last time I stayed up this late to watch tv, and I have work in the morning, God forgot about that Grin Time for bed, fingers crossed for sleepy babies we were up from early too ponyo.

ledkr nothing more irritating than a tipsy other half when you're stone cold sober, its so annoying. Hope D settles x

janedoe25 · 27/05/2011 08:04

wiggles hope your day at work goes well.
ponyo did the the blind work?

ledkr i have bought the shred from amazon, should arrive today? Well done on getting into your jeans!

I have joined slimming world online (hate classes) lets hope it works.......

Yesterday DF and I made a start at packing away some Zoe's things in her room, we had bagged up the carrycot, carseat and matresses. It felt so damn wrong! I cant believe she has been gone for 3 whole months.

janedoe25 · 27/05/2011 08:12

I just noticed there is now a Feb 2012 thread!

reastie · 27/05/2011 08:14

jane :( - I was thinking the other day what you had done with all little zoes things. Must be so heartbreaking I can't imagine.

Yes ponyo wondering how the blackoutblind went Hmm

ledkr glad to be of service re: tesco. I got various baby bits for 6 - 12 months which added up to over £50 but got them for £30 Grin

Thinking of wiggles at work. She's made me really want to see kings speech now - might have to rent it at the week end Grin

OP posts:
ledkr · 27/05/2011 08:24

Jane will you stop making me cry. how sad and awfull for you to have to do that, just cant imagine it.Will you use it for the others or buy again? My Mum used all the stuff she had bought, shall i ask her what she thinks?
I will do sw online with you,i didnt know it exisited, going to have a look now,its the only doet that suits me cos i have such a big appetite Grin

wiggles good luck at work, cant imagine anything worse.

ponyo im interested in the blind working too and can i just point out that i stroppily shut dh in the lounge whilst i shred in the playroom-id feel a right berk him watching me Grin

Well im so amazed at D,she had her bottle and was awake so i tucked her in bed with me cos i resigned myself to her being hard to settle due to the disruption. She kept wingeing so i put her in her basket and she had a little mumble and went straight to sleep. How good is that? Dh was really weird tho seemed really pissed but on only 3 pints-not like him=was all vacant and stupid. He got up with her this am tho.
Ella has a mufti day so has been getting ready for hours.

ledkr · 27/05/2011 08:27

kings speech doesnt appeal to me at all im too fond of a good zombie movie, reastie did you shop online or in store

janedoe25 · 27/05/2011 08:43

Ledkr we will use all the big things again but i won't use any of the outfits/bedding bought especially for Zoe. The outfits we were looking forward to her wearing will be put in her memory box. Neutral things like sleepsuits and vests i will use again. The way i see it is, i would have used these things again for her little bro/sis even if she was here.

I'm going to cancel the slimming world online, i just bought a starter pack on ebay for £1 and their are forums online too. I figure it will be just the same without the ££.

Well done to D for getting herself off to sleep Grin Maybe DH was just tired and the alcohol affected him diffrently?

On a happier note, we have decided to ttc after my next period, the end of next month (scared and excited emoticon).

janedoe25 · 27/05/2011 08:45

Oops there Blush i usually slag off people who get there/their mixed up Blush. Note to self, i should proof read!

reastie · 27/05/2011 08:57

jane this is quite Blush but I'm almost as excited about you ttc as your wedding Shock Blush Hmm . I know it'll be terribly tough and emotional this coming year for you but we are all here for you.

shredled I got the tesco stuff online. I'm pretty sure the delivery was free and not sure if you can get the £10 off when you spend £40 in store as had a promo code to type in to get that (the code is all over their web site btw in a banner at the top). Got some vests, baby grows, socks, a cute little play suit with matching hat and a coat for winter.
