reastie xx sorry don't have any real advice but you are not being self indulgent, we are all here for you even if its just for a moan, well that's not true, my one piece of advice would be to tell dh to feck away off wind his neck in, you are gorgeous but most importantly you had a little person growing inside you for 9 months and she's only been out for 3 months, give yourself some time [a really big hug]

ledkr · 31/05/2011 22:16

Ah reastie,i sympathise, its so hard and the fat really knocks your confidence. I start every day with a new promise but by the afternoon have lost it and eaten crap.Even harder this week due to half term and picnics, lunch out etc, The only thing is i was told ages ago by my gay friend to never draw attention to ones bad points as others may not have seen them. I must admit depite my huge arse i am taking pride in ,make up hair and the few clothes that will fit me,it all helps to boost the confidence.
I played with D today,i put rappers delight on the pc and boogied aroiund with her like a mad thing whilst she giggled and drooled.I aso blew rasberries on her stomach until she couldnt breath for laughing-puppets indeed.
My hair is falling out in handfulls, its blocking up my shower.
I shredded today too, feel very self righteous. Pulled a muscle tho so not sure about tomorrow.

ILovePonyo · 01/06/2011 08:00

Morning, well baby Ponyo clearly still needs her swaddle, much better nights sleep here til 7am!! She still woke at 3am like clockwork to make some noise, don't know what thats about Hmm

ledkr my hair is falling out loads too, its probably the same as before but its so annoying. Grin at Dillys giggling and your dancing to rappers delight Grin

reastie I agree with ledkr (surprise) and say don't draw attention to your bad bits, I often want to moan to dp about my fat tummy but don't as I really don't think he notices, especially when we're naked Wink Oh and fwiw I started eating meat 2 years ago after about 10 years as a veggie and didn't lose any weight - what rubbish.

Speaking of being naked ledkr and jane send some of your libido my way please, mine reappeared a while ago for about a week and no sign of it since Sad

deb pleased to hear your dh is being better, long may it last!

40 Shock at a 4 yr old, 3 yr old and a baby, yikes!

Right dd hasn't pooed for 2 days and has just been lying on her mat grunting for 5 mins, I shall see what awaits me... Hmm

40Weeks · 01/06/2011 08:00

Well I can certainly feel my mistake aching from the shred. Am doing spin today not sure I will do it.... I also have to fight for time on the DVD! Sorry you're not well wiggles are you any better today?

40Weeks · 01/06/2011 08:02

Mistake? I of course meant muscles.

Good luck with the grunting ponyo

reastie · 01/06/2011 09:16

thanks for the DH understandings. I think we might have to have a deep and meaningful conversation as I'm all over the place with my issues at the minute and I don't think he realises how upset I get with my self confidence. It's all very well to flaunt your good bits if you have any but I honetly feel so down sometimes I just want to hide Blush .

To cheer me up though alice slept through the night again Grin a whole NINE hours Grin Grin 40 will never talk to me again will she Hmm

Anyway, enough about me

40 I wondered what you meant with your mistake aching Hmm

wiggles how you feeling?

ledkr I'm sure you've said this before but when are the outlaws (love the phrase whoever used that) descending? D sounds like such a cutie btw - it's a shame we can't load little video clips on mn - would be great to see all the cuties in RL type thing.

ponyo and ledkr my hair is falling out alot too - it's quite unnerving. I wonder how long it'll last Hmm

MIL has this week off and keeps asking if she can see alice any time in the week, so I offered up this afternoon as doing stuff the rest of the week but she's busy Hmm Wink . I feel a bit guilty as they haven't seen her now for a couple of weeks.....but I did try.

OP posts:
janedoe25 · 01/06/2011 09:54

angels don't feel guilty, you made the effort. Im sorry to hear you are down just now, as wiggles said you had a person inside you, it will take time, but you will get there. I think the outlaws may have be mine Grin

wiggles hope you are feeling better today.

debka i'm glad things are better with DH.

ledkr · 01/06/2011 10:01

They are "camping" Fri-sun,we are ice skating Fri so wont see them in the day so hopefully if they come later it will be short lived cos I will be off getting to bed. She would never offered to help or anything. Sat i guess we il have to see them but i cant do anything too late with D as she gets grumpy if shes not in bed. Speaking of the delightfull D she decided to wake up at 11.30 last night just as we got into bed!No idea why but i was so tired i just stropped off downstairs telling dh that she was all his,i had alittle fag and a sherbert dip then went back up Grin She had afeed then back down till 7.30,have no idea what that was all about.
wandering i have pulled a muscle in my calf from the dreaded shred,i cant walk down stairs properly. Glad the babies slept ok last night.
Dh has pissed me off,he just had 4 weetabix i think thats just pig greedy Shock

WanderingSheep · 01/06/2011 11:03

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is well!

I've managed to get on the computer so i've posted a couple of piccs of DD2. Ive put the settings to mumsnet mates only so let me know if you cant see them. I've probably done it wrong anyway Hmm Blush.

I've been having a nosy at all your pictures. All of the babies are really really gorgeous Smile.

reastie, i have to say - you put yourself down a hell of a lot and you're so pretty Envy. Alice is such a smiley little girl!

Ledkr - nice arse!

Apologies for typing and grammar. I'm not used to typing on an actual computer! I always post and MN from my phone!

byronicheroine · 01/06/2011 11:23

wandering cute pics back at ya!
reastie yay for Alice but am a bit Envy - still up a couple of times a night here (but I did have 2 nights where he slept longer so.... don't want to jinx anything!)
ledkr good luck with avoiding dealing with the inlaws. After my avoiding the phone call last night, DP's mum then called his mobile in Poland Shock !! Oops Grin
wiggles any better today? Hope so, I prescribe rest, hot drinks and something silly on the telly
I have a confession to make - K usually sleeps well at night (apart from feeds) and so when DP got in at 4 I left him alone in the flat to go down to the front door to unlock it (locked after 11 pm). By the time we got back we could hear the baby as soon as we got out of the lift. I felt terrible and like a bad mummy, but in reality it can't have been more than a couple of minutes.
Am waiting for my sister to come on skype and for an amazon delivery - perhaps ledkr was right about us becoming a little bit less interesting...?

reastie · 01/06/2011 11:40

wandering love the piccies - what is that amazing teddy with the lit up tummy? Hmm

byron I'm sure I'll be here next week with an alice who won't sleep at all so do'nt be Envy . Grin amazon delivery was that I hear? Grin another one? Wink Grin I'm awaiting some ebay items and am so sadly over excited (less interesting life.... Hmm )

Weather is fab here - just had a little walk with alice. I'm going to try do some excercise this afternoon ( ledkrs morning of good intentions is catching - hopefully her libido is too Grin ). Lots of boring chores too Confused

shredkr sherbet dip? Had completely forgotten about those Grin

OP posts:
WanderingSheep · 01/06/2011 11:53

Thank you Grin

reastie the teddy is from marks and spencers. She got it from some friends when she was born. It's tummy lights all different colours and they change - must be fibre optic or something.

Weather is crap here but then I am in the grim north! It's not raining but grey. It's warmish... Hope it doesn't rain as I've got loads of washing to do and have no tumble drier!

It's DD1's birthday tomorrow so I've got loads of tidying up to do ready for all the family coming round!

suzym1984 · 01/06/2011 12:52

Afternoon everyone!

reastie please tell me your secret for getting the lovely Alice to sleep thru! H is not giving up his night feed without a fight!

ponyo Dont worry, you are not the only swaddler! I think I will still be swaddling H when he is 18! haha! anything for an easy life!

jane i am absolutely outraged at you FIL....what an insensitive arsehole!!!!!

ledkr my hair is also falling out, Im scared that I will be bald by Christmas!

Im babysitting my 7 year old neice today, having a lovely time actually as she is entertaining H for me while I mn do important stuff!

Can I ask you all another question about routines please?! What do you roughly do at bedtime each night? I seem to be doing different things every night and making a huge mess of it all! We usually have bottle, bath, a bit awakey time, swaddle then rock to sleep in my arms. Do you ladies put your LOs down awake now? and should I be giving another feed after his 6pm bottle? I feel like this would help him sleep longer than the 3.30am he is managing now!

Right, off to cook some chicken nuggets healthy food!

ILovePonyo · 01/06/2011 13:12

Beautiful photos wandering :)

byronic don't feel bad - a couple of mins is think about when you have a shower or similar!

suzy yay for you swaddling too, glad I'm not on my one with that! I bet you're not making a mess of bedtime routine but heres mine - try and do bath about 7pm, bottle about 7.30pm (depending on what time the last one was) and then bed at 8pm, swaddle and kisses then put her down in her moses basket and shut the bedroom door.
This is easy if she's sleepy because she's pretty much straight to sleep, however harder if she's a bit awake b'cos she can sometimes wake up more and will be making noise to herself. What I've learnt is not to have the monitor on, if she cries we can hear her even with the bedroom door shut and if we have the monitor on I wont relax, i 'll be listening out to every noise she makes. This doesn't stop me sneaking upstairs about ten times to listen at the door!
Hope that helps, I said to dp I feel mean sometimes leaving her when she looks wide awake but at least she's learning to settle herself.
I suppose you could give another bottle after 6pm if you think he's take it, I know with dd she'll only drink when she wants to and screams if you try and force it!
Thats quite long Hmm but hope its useful :)

ledkr what was with the 11.30pm bottle, was that a one off? Weird Confused

ILovePonyo · 01/06/2011 13:13

Hmm that should say "a couple of mins is nothing" byronic

Four4me · 01/06/2011 13:20

Hi all.

My hair is dropping out too! Have loads of wooly hair so it isn't that obvious.

wandering I can't see your photos Sad I used to be justonemoreplease

Your fil is a total divvy Jane

My dh peed me off this morning he promised me that he would go to work late this morning as I had a 8.40 doctors appt (my longstanding bladder prob tmi!) anyway last night he said something about meeting a guy about work between 8 and 10. he totally forgot he was looking after the lo's. So I had to take all four of them there! We had to walk half hour there and back as he needed the car! Should have seen the GPs face when we paraded in with my monster double buggy. The two boys were really good and played on their ds's ( which was a treat as I am a bit stingy with them at home) and dd1 ate her way though all of the snacks (she is driven my her stomach)!

angels great news about Alice sleeping through. Don't want to curse it but Archie has been too for a few weeks and he is bf. I think they are all so different and do things so differently, but it is hard not to compare. I think it is so busy here that he likes the sanctuary of his own room. I actually had to wake him this morning to get to the bloody GP on time! On the other hand he is so laid back that he just lays on the baby gym smiling and doesn't make any attempt to move or grab toys! Lazy boy!

Looking forward to stories of pil this weekend! Always very entertaining!

WanderingSheep · 01/06/2011 13:31

SHould be sorted now fourforme! Smile I realised that i'd tried to put you in as 4forme and it didnt work. I forgot to go back and check! Blush

reastie · 01/06/2011 13:34

OMG - I just got byronicheroines nn Blush . This whole time I've been thinking 'must ask byron what her nn is all about' as it made no sense as a word not realising it was byronic heroine Blush . I'm soooo stupid and can't even blame it on baby brain Shock Blush Hmm

hope wiggles is OK - she's v quiet Hmm

for4 I read your dh thing that your dh have peed on you this morning Hmm Shock . Something going seriously wrong here Wink Poor you having to go to gp and discuss your bladder issues with 4 children in tow.

suzy bedtime routine here is naked time on changing mat about 6:30ish, then bath about 6:40 then baby massage for maybe 10 mins then a feed about 7 or so, then quiet time with DH and I maybe reading books or playing with quiet toys then stick her in her cot about 7:30 - 8 and hope for the best Confused . She often moans so much we have to stick a dummy in Blush and will usually settle to sleep well initially but then wake up about 9 and I'll stick her in bed with me and mn watch tv do very important things until I dream feed about 9:30 then she finally goes in her cot for the night and she only comes out if she's really hungry or really crying until morning. Touchwood so far so good but I realise I'm not that perfect that she comes into bed with me in the evening to snooze (she started this when she had a cold). I think IMO 6pm is early for a last of the day feed so going from then until 3:30 sounds pretty impressive to me Hmm leddkr is queen of bedtime routine though Grin

WanderingSheep · 01/06/2011 13:42

Ha ha! Grin

I was wondering about wiggles. Hope she's feeling better!

janedoe25 · 01/06/2011 14:23

Sorry reastie but i am howling with laughter here! Grin

OMG i have just done the dreaded shred, it was ok but i feel i may be
suffering tomorrow Shock

Four4me · 01/06/2011 14:34

The extra sleep is doing you no good angels you obviously thrive on disturbed nights!

As for dh peeing on me! With three out of the four dc's being boys there is enough spraying pee at our place without dh joining in. Ds1 missed the loo this morning- wet pants, shorts, socks and toilet mat. Think I'll be wiping pee up for a long time yet, but still don't fancy him doing it on me!

ledkr · 01/06/2011 16:01

you lot are mad. Well went to pizza hut with dh and dds, baby was brilliant and I kidded myself i was healthy by eating thin crust pizza and leaving the crusts Grin Dh went home with baby whilst me and els went to pics but pirates of the carribean was full so we had to come home via block busters,dh has taken her for a walk. Doesn anyones babies do micro naps?D p's me off (not pees on me) cos she sometimes falls asleep and then wakes up about 5 mins later Hmm
suzy i never wake mine up and all quite good sleepers.I think they sleep thru the late feeds before the early ones tbh but you could try dream feed which ive alwyas found is followed by waking up 3 hrly afterwards Confused
I do feed at 5 then play including naked time about 6.15 bath at 7 then up to my room where i feed her on the bed then put her into her basket whenher bottles finished, sometimes shes asleep and sometimes awake so mumbles to sleep. She then usually goes til 6 or 7 unless she decides to be annoying like last night.
ponyo hope last night was a one off, however if she keeps doing it ill be introducing solids, she is 18wks now and wont drink more than 90-120 mls per feed so may need it,wanted to wait untill after paris so dh doesnt have to do it tho.
4forme i cant tell you how minging my toilets used to get with 3 boys, thank heaven for my 2 dds now haha

reastie · 01/06/2011 16:40

thank you to ledkr for making it clear that dh was ping you off and not on you Grin Grin what did you get from blockbuster?

OP posts:
40Weeks · 01/06/2011 16:42

Oh goodness all your babies are much better sleepers than Mikey. He has a bath at 6ish and then last feed around 6.30-7. I do dream feed but to be honest it doesn't make much difference. I just hate going to bed T say, 11, to then be woken at 12 for a feed so I do it before bed at approx 10.30-11. He still wakes at 1 or 2 and then again at 4-5. He will go back to sleep but I can only assume that he isn't taking enough BM at these times to keep him full up Sad

reastie does a have formula at 9.30?? I am very envious of BF babies going through the night! Mine have never done it!

WanderingSheep · 01/06/2011 16:43

Ledkr, mine does micro naps! Drives me mad, although I must admit that she's getting a lot better at sleeping during the day! I leave her on her play mat and often she'll fall asleep after a while.
