Hi all.

All this talk of dh putting dc to bed with bibs reminded me of what my friend told me this week. They have just had dc1, she is about 3 weeks old and when my friend was making up the bottles one night she noticed that the steriliser seemed to have milk in the bottom. When she asked her dh about it he told her that he had thought it washed the bottles as well as sterilising them so had been putting them in dirty !!!!!! What a wally!!

janedoe25 · 28/05/2011 19:55

Evening all, that souund like something my DF would do four4me
ledkr you are a hottie! Your Dh is well lucky!

I am so freakin angry at my DF, he has been working away all week, came home last night gto changed and straight into town. Today, i have been a bit of a wreck it's my friends little one's 1st bday party adn i have not been looking forawrd to it. Anyhoo, i decided to go show face and hand in a pressie. I got there and broke down so i left, DF stayed, he let me drive home knowing i was sobbing. Im so angry at him, he has drinking head on and wanted to stay to watch the fucking football. Not once have i told him he couldn't go out and when i really need him he has fecked off!

janedoe25 · 28/05/2011 19:57

Sorry for the rant, i have no one to talk to. Blush at all the typos.

americanexpat · 28/05/2011 20:03

ledkr - I thought that photo was someone wearing a sumo wrestler costume but upon closer inspection, it is not...

Was tempted to skip Shred today as I nearly needed help getting out of bed but managed to get through day 3. My legs are so sore I'm finding the stairs a bit of a challenge. Any Shredders want to admit they've muted Jillian? Grin

wobblybumm - it seems everyone else I know has a baby who sleeps through. Hmm My mum was surprised he wasn't sleeping longer stretches at 8 weeks and told me to give him some baby rice in a bottle. Shock L also does the sporadic napping, despite my best intentions to follow EASY. Or he'll resist napping so long that he sleeps for 10 minutes before waking up hungry then going straight back to sleep after eating.

DH was changing a dirty nappy this morning and, as soon as L was clean, did another huge poo on the changing mat. DH cleaned it only to have L do another huge poo on it. Grin I learned the hard way to wait 5 minutes after I think he's finished.

Tarlia · 28/05/2011 20:09

Suzy don't worry Z isn't sleeping through the night, not by a long way. He goes to be between 7.30-8, dream feed at 10ish, wakes for quick feed somewhere between 3-5 then every 3 hours from then on until 6am where he starts snacking every hour or two. He likes to sleep until 10 am and gets grumpy if I need to get him up before then. He is turning into a contented little robot, but by himself as I've let him find his own way - he naps 12-2 or 3 then 4.30-5.30. If he is up at 8am he has a 30min to 1hr nap around 9.30.

Like the others have said, lots lie, others think sleeping through is waking for quick feeds and going straight back down - technically sleeping through at this age is a 6 hour block. I'm [evey] with those that get a good 10-12 hour block!

Now I've forgotten what else was said.. Arrrgg!

ponyo so glad to hear it went so well!

44me that's hilarious, poor friend hehe. Hope baby didn't get tummy ache!

Nice cheeks ledkr ;) haha. Have a large glass of white for me tonight. I miss wine!!

wiggles your girls sound gorgeous and so different. I wonder if A will take after either of them.

Tarlia · 28/05/2011 20:13

Cross posted. Jane I'm so sorry :( you poor thing. I'm sending hugs your way.

What the hell is wrong with the men folk at the moment? Grr. They all need a kick in the nads!

Expat Z does that to OH too, I have to stiffle my giggles.

Four4me · 28/05/2011 20:21

Jane big hugs. Xxx

ILovePonyo · 28/05/2011 20:30

jane what the bloody hell?! Not making excuses for him but is it his way of 'coping' do you think? Even if it is its inexcusable, you need his support and yes its hard for him but he needs to look after you. Its so difficult and you are so strong, I wish I knew of something that would help but there isn't anything is there. Sending you a big hug xxxx

Shock at the bottles four4 Grin

Thanks tarlia :)

wigglesrock · 28/05/2011 20:43

Jane he's just being a thoughtless, insensitive man, shit day for you, what are you up to now?. I'm contemplating watching the Shred, just to have a nosy , still bloody wrecked from work yesterday and think I'm getting a cold - any excuse not to "shred".

All those heading out tonight, have a great time, don't forget to have a drink for us Envy

Ponyo glad last night went well.

ILovePonyo · 28/05/2011 20:53

thanks wiggles meant to say what job do you do? Your day back sounded knackering, how are you feeling about it now?

Also, dd developed today a very annoying scream. Its as if she's going to start crying but just screaming to herself. Whatever happened to the cute squeals?!

Have to second what wiggles said and hope all those out on the lash tonight have a fab time and a lovely lie in the morning Grin I am having a Wine and hoping to be in bed by 9.30 latest tonight :)

janedoe25 · 28/05/2011 21:09

Thanks, just needed someone to vent to and you lot won! wiggles im doing sod all, the tv is crap so im messing about on the laptop.

ponyo glad last night was good and hope you are enjoying your wine!

Ahem, my shred came today, i picked it up about an hour ago for a look it can stay in the drawer until monday Grin

ILovePonyo · 28/05/2011 21:30

jane I am enjoying my wine so much I'm having another Wink

Hope the venting helped. If you have film4 run fatboy run is on at the mo?!

My shred arrived and havn't done it yet, I am either starting it tomo or monday so will let you know!

Night all I will be in bed soon :)

wigglesrock · 28/05/2011 21:31

ponyo I'm a general dogsbody/cleaner/kitchen helper for an entertainment venue, I do realise I've made it sound like a strip club but it's not Wink I'm only doing a few days to cover leave and for a little extra money but to be honest if I wasn't as skint I wouldn't bother, its an awful lot of kerfuffle for a little bit of money! I'm doing another 3 shifts over the next week or so and I couldn't be arsed Grin

Well jane I couldn't resist I shredded!!! Those of a nervous disposition look away now....... Fuck me that woman's annoying and whiny, you know what Jillian I fucking doubt that its as tough for you as it is for me. And your photo on the front of the DVD is airbrushed to fuck, so there!!

Right normal service resumed - actually its not as bad as I thought it might be, its certainly quicker and "easier" than a big gym class, although I'm really unco-ordinated so I'm not sure I'm doing everything the right way but I feel like I've really "worked it" and can just about still breathe. Thankfully the girls are asleep but the dog is silently snickering to herself.

wigglesrock · 28/05/2011 21:33

Actually might have to rethink my assessment, I can barely bring my cup of tea to my mouth Blush

janedoe25 · 28/05/2011 21:55

wiggles , shredled will be well proud of you, shredding on a sat night!

ponyo have one for me.

Ha ha ha ha just pmsl at the new lynx advert, "premature perspiration*. Love it.

wigglesrock · 28/05/2011 22:07

Jane I know I can't believe I spend 30 mins (20 minutes my arse) on a Saturday night in the company of lycra clad bodies and no dancing was involved Grin Going to try and post some photos (yes more, I don't care I've shredded I can feel no more ridicule Grin)

janedoe25 · 28/05/2011 22:27

Fab pics wiggles love the one with the 3 girls on their tums. Olivia looks so much like you!

Im off to bed now, before my drunken bad sweary word man comes home!

americanexpat · 28/05/2011 22:53

jane - sorry, crossposted earlier. He's deffo being really insensitive. Letting you drive home sobbing is really out of order. Men can be so thick sometimes.

suzym1984 · 29/05/2011 06:51

Morning all!

6am start after a day on the booze is not good, feeling slightly bleary eyed and still a bit drunk if Im honest! Just nearly tripped over my own feet on the way down the stairs Blush.

Jane so sorry that your DH is being a knob, try not to let it get you down (easier said than done Im sure) I hope he sucks up to you and takes you out somewhere nice to make up!

ponyo glad your night went well Grin

tarlia Thanks for posting Z's routine Grin

Think I am going to head to my mam's today for my Sunday lunch and I will let her entertain H for a bit while I veg out do something useful!

ledkr · 29/05/2011 07:14

suzy-my empathy love,i went to sleep a few hrs ago and D woke early at 6,dh has gone to work so thats it,i feel a bit sick too.Am sat in bed with tea listening to D in her cot wingeing, she has had a feed so im hoping she does off for a bit but tbh she never does HmmDid you have good one?

well done wiggs i actually find Jillian very motivating,i love it when she says only 4 more etc. Its not as bad as you think is it?I am defo more toned, should be moving onto L2 tomorrow,it looks tortureous.

jane I wonder is he trying to cope, tackle him today when hes sober,i know its incredibly frustrating for you tho. I hid in drink when ex knobhead left me (yes alright ladies i realise thats no suprise). If you are with your mates on the lash you can actually forget about things for afew blissfull moments, not sticking up for him btw but you have both been thru so much its bound to cause a few ructions. Do something nice together today and hug hug hug. You need to make it up soon cos we are all waiting for you to get pg Grin

Well a lazy day fro me and girls, going to try and have the sunday i wanted last week before people thought they could all visit. Papers, lunch and sofa,of course thats all entirely possible with a 4 month old Hmm

debka · 29/05/2011 07:42

Good morning everyone!!

Thank you all for thinking of me :)

Well we went, and the first night S woke every 2-3 hours for feeds, and then the second, every 1.5 hours. I broke down on the Friday night, sobbed all over my SiL and told her her brother was a wanker, then rang my mum who found out train times for me. DH and I had what could have been a blazing row but ended up in a heart to heart where I actually think he was crying (it was dark so I couldn't see). Maybe this will be the start of something better???

Anyway, took the train home yesterday with the girls, Knutsford to Stockport (half an hour), the Stockport to Euston (2 hours), then walk to St Pancras then to Folkestone (1 hour). My mum met us at Euston, but my girls were absolutely brilliant.

S went to bed in her travel cot tonight, woke at 3 then at 7 and is asleep again now??!!! Imy is sleeping at my mums. What does it say about my PiLs that my mum who is having chemo for terminal cancer helps me out with my girls more than they do? I had to persuade FiL to even drive me the 5 mins to the station.

Sorry I can't remember everyone elses posts Blush you lot have too much to say! I'll be back in the loop soon, I promise....

ledkr · 29/05/2011 08:39

Good God Deb!!What a drama? What did sil say? Did dh admit he was being a twat or say what is wrong? Poor you,its so horrible when it all goes tits up when you are not at home,i remember ex dh being vile at some friends we were staying with, the husband actually told him to get out,it was horrible.
I really hope it opens up some discussion for you both, l know you are determined to make your marriage work but you just cant go on like this with no support and with your Mum being so ill too. Its not easy being a single parent but its even harder to be lonely in a marriage.
Sleep while you can and take care.

Emski76 · 29/05/2011 08:47

Debka, good to hear you survived the days away, shame you had to have a chat with dh but hopefully things will improve now. I always think a good heart o heart can help. I just told dh that buying me a kindle and putting books on it for me isnt showing me affection. I said if he carries on I will fell in love with someone else! He said he's really happy at home at the moment and thought well that sums it ip really!
Jane, sorry re df, like some of the others have said maybe it is his way of dealing with everything? Men are strange creatures.
Ledkr, loving the pic.
Wiggles, adore the pic of your girls on their tummies, blooming gorgeous!
Glad those of you who had a night out enjoyed it! Hoping I get a night out soon, just can't bear the thought of being woken at dawn with a hangover!
Am ashamed to say I have only shredded once! Must aim to shred more!

suzym1984 · 29/05/2011 08:53

Ledkr I hope D goes back to sleep for you. Harry is wide awake here so looks like im up for the day. feel slightly guilty breathing boozey fumes over him, but he doesnt seem to mind! Had a great time thanks, was lush to see the girls again and have cocktails and wines, felt a bit more like the old me if that makes sense.

deb that sounds awful, you poor thing. Altho hopefully a heart to heart with your DH will have cleared the air and made him see sense?

emski I havent even ordered the shred yet! Altho I wore a dress last night and all my friends commented on my post baby figure, so think that at leeast buys me a few more weeks of laziness Wink
