Hello ladies, hope you found your way over here okay!

Our little newborns are newborns no more! :( :)

Hopefully a while yet before teething and weaning starts, but there's definitely a lot of wiggling and squealing going on already :o

Also added one of DD2 enjoying herself camping (as I felt bad I had one of the other two and not her)

Fuzzywood · 21/06/2011 23:03

Hey all, Evan is fine now thanks. Well at least he's a bit grumpy today as he had his injections yesterday but the projectile vomitting seems to have been a one off.
At my mum and dad's for a few days so he and DD are enjoying being spoiled. Plus as he's in the travel cot next to my bed night time dummy replacement is much easier!
He's almost got rolling from back to front he just gets one arm a bit stuck then gets madly frustrated.

Had him weighed yesterday too, he's now 16lb 13oz, my dad can't believe the size of thighs, he's already planning his first appearance in a Wales rugby side. Had to put dad straight though that my beautiful boy can indeed play rugby for Wales but will not be a forward as I couldn't cope with him being in the scrum Grin. Both my DC seem to be taking after their dad in the height stakes (DH is 6ft 3) I'm going to be the shortest person in my house in about 12 years Smile

Fuzzywood · 21/06/2011 23:20

Also meant to say lovely new photos, I will endeavour to post some when I'm back on the computer at home later this week. Night all Smile

LadyBuzz · 22/06/2011 16:13

ahh gorgeous bubba

Kali is very grumpy today and after my smugness yesterday has been up since 4:20 little bugger Grin

RunningKatie · 22/06/2011 20:19

Lovely pics Bubba.

DD is shouting at DP this evening, tried going out for a nice meal and she screamed the place down, kept pulling off if I tried to bf. Roll on weaning!

Learn from my fail:

Don't leave your baby unattended on a change mat without a nappy.
Although she may be happily chewing her own toes when you leave the room, when you return a few minutes later, she will have done a huge poo and will be kicking it around.

Fuzzywood · 24/06/2011 13:28

Ooh that sounds lovely Gallic Smile

We have a completely rolling baby here. He rolled from back to front for the first time on Weds and is now doing it like an expert. He's just worked out this morning that he can get places by rolling over a few times, the fun starts here Grin

Having a quiet day here today as I was out with the girls last night, far too much booze when you're then woken up at 4.30 Hmm

Off to Cornwall for a week tomorrow, really looking forward to it as I don't seem to be spending any time with DH. Hoping we get some sunshine, weather looks ok but I dare say we'll be on the beach and in the sea whatever the weather.

gallicgirl · 24/06/2011 14:07

Bedroom now stinks of bleach :(

I'm on my second change of clothes thanks to the vomit monster and I'm so hungry I feel sick but hey! there's always time for mumsnet Confused

I've come to the conclusion that Alys is too lazy to roll. I put her on floor this morning with toys just out of the way. After a half-hearted attempt to reach them, she looked at me, blew bubbles, flapped her arms and did the whole "c'mon mom, guess what I want and do it" noise. We have been trying to sit up though which she is pretty good - apart from the balance.

Have a lovely holiday fuzzy. Where are you going to? I met my DP in Cornwall and would love to go back but it's a 9 hour drive for us.

Fuzzywood · 24/06/2011 16:34

We're staying just south of Newquay, went for the first time last year and had a lovely time. Just trying to work out what to pack the forecast is all over the place. Probably means we'll end up with every eventuality covered, I knew buying an estate car was a good plan Smile

Pretty long drive for us too but we're in no hurry. 9 hours would be way too much though.

Think Alys has it just right, why do something yourself when a smile and a couple of bubbles will get you what you want Grin

Right his majesty is asleep so I better do some packing before I have to pick DD up.

gallicgirl · 24/06/2011 17:34

We packed everything but the kitchen sink when we went to Wales a couple of weeks ago and I only have a Jazz!

I don't know that part of Cornwall apart from Perranporth and St Ives.

We holidayed around Lamporna/Land's End area. It's beautiful though. Hope you have a fabulous time and don't forget to have fish n chips and an ice-cream. It's the law at the seaside.
Well, actually at the seaside I live at, it's the law to have fresh seafood but I know oysters aren't everyone's snack of choice. Grin

gallicgirl · 24/06/2011 17:34

That should be Lamorna. Sorry.

FlubbaBubba · 24/06/2011 18:32

Lovely poo story gallic :o

gallicgirl · 24/06/2011 19:03

Well I like to cheer you up.

:)

FlubbaBubba · 24/06/2011 19:08

You're too kind. I read it as my girls' bedtime story. They're looking forward to the next chapter Wink.

L is also too lazy to roll and is going with the blowing bubbles and smiling at me to get what he wants route. He's got both down to a tee :)

travispickles · 24/06/2011 20:11

Saskia also too lazy to roll and lies like Buddha smiling beatifically at me. Just realised that in spite of baby brain I have just used the word beatifically for the first time ever.

Fuzzywood · 24/06/2011 20:57

Have discovered the issue with the rolling though, put E to bed and he promptly rolled over, then got stuck so screamed the place down. I had to roll him back then keep my hand on him until he settled enough to stay still Smile.
Oh joy I'm now getting the blame for not knowing if the holiday home has cot bedding. This is after I'd been told not to worry about anything as it's all under control Hmm

I'm just going to drink my beer and not say anything Grin

Puréeing to my heart's content last night and this morning - we now have variations on the beige theme - pear, parsnip etc, and also lurid orange butternut squash filling my freezer.

The millionth person in a month asked me if I was pregnant the other day, so I have cut back on the mcvitamins (choc digestives to those of you not in the know) and am starving and grumpy the entire time! :o :(

RunningKatie · 25/06/2011 18:32

Loving the poo story Gallic :)
Have a lovely holiday Fuzzy, I had a few fab drunken holidays near Newquay when I was a lowly student.
Congrats on the use of beatifically Travis - most impressive.

Am I the only one who uses long words when talking to DD to improve her vocabulary? Hmm

She's rolled 3 times thus far, and not since Sunday now. Like the others, I think she gets just what she needs lying still so doesn't need to bother. I took her out earlier to meet a friend for lunch, we were in a hugely noisy cafe, and she fed then fell asleep for 3 hours. So, am thinking if I want her to nap during the day I'll just go and sit by the M1.

LadyBuzz · 25/06/2011 20:21

I think Kali must be rolling for everyone else Grin she is never ever where i left her if she is on the floor. Its already starting to be a nightmare with DS1s new lego stupid tiny pieces thats DS2 throws everywhere.

DS1 was 5 yesterday Shock it was only 5 minutes since he was Kalis size Shock and tommorrow we have a christening and then his party, 35 small people in 1 room

bubba Grin at Mcvitamins!

FlubbaBubba · 25/06/2011 21:08

Hey hey LadyB - dark chocolate Mcvitamins - therefore they are iron-a-plenty Wink

Happy Birthday to your big little one for yesterday - amazing how quickly they grow up! :)

L is twisting and arching, and tried to nosedive off the sofa today, but still no rolling. Maybe he's trying to be the next Houdini Hmm

gallicgirl · 25/06/2011 21:23

I went to see my neighbours LO today. He's about 2 weeks old and SO tiny. Well, he's a bit over 8lbs so a decent size but DD looks huge next to him. Made me realise that I barely remember her at that age. :( Think I was just too stressed trying to cope and feed her.

I was a bit of a domestic goddess today. I cooked an awesome salmon and lemon risotto for dinner and baked bread for the first time ever. It actually worked out ok.

saltnvinigarcrips · 27/06/2011 11:52

Hi everyone. Sorry I've not checked in for awhile. Will endeavour to catch up on everyone's news this evening but for now just thought I would throw out my problem: I cannot absolutely cannot seem to get Henry to take the bottle. Also over the past 2 days i've noticed my milk supply dropping substantially so worried he is going to starve and also panicking as back to work in 2 weeks. Tbh I am totally at my wits end and have spent this morning in tears. Any tips for getting him on the bottle greatly appreciated. On the plus side he does now roll from his tummy to his back but he's only done it 4 times this week. Using aptimil formular for him. :(

travispickles · 27/06/2011 12:43

If it helps, Salt, I am in the same state.... (although a bit longer til return to work). I was thinking about it this morning - will she take a bottle when really hungry?? Although that's not ideal either.Have you asked anyone else to help? To take away the mummy milk connotations. Don't despair though - am sure it wil be fine. How old is H now?
