Eek it's going so fast!

Well my night out has been cancelled so it's not an urgent rush round the shops but we are going to have z look for some summery clothes anyway.

I'm still really happy with the thread too, I wouldn't necessarily be able to say the things I can here on fb.

HJ I have an opposing problem; my new iPhone needs charging every six hours. It's being replaced for one that's not faulty tomorrow.

Mock I'm thinking of you at the moment. It'll be alright, these things always are, but lousy nonetheless.

Ty We are trying to pull up to standing at the moment. Our new trick is to spin around in circles while sitting. It's really funny!

HarrietJones · 07/08/2011 19:25

It's a battery problem , it's being dying for ages but couldn't get to an apple store to get it sorted while under warranty. I couldn't get it going but it's on now. I'm due an upgrade but waiting til I am getting paid!

There is a new iPhone coming out by oct if you think it could limp on until then!! They are starting to flog the current model already :)

HarrietJones · 07/08/2011 19:34

That's why I'm limping! The rumours said July originally. O2 are still saying no news though so the 4 is £££ or I get the same phone which doesn't seem right. I got the 3GS v early on and didn't pay extra so I don't understand why the 4 is so expensive

OP posts:
SeaShellsMyDogSmells · 07/08/2011 20:08

Dh (apple geek) says it's looking alot more certain end of sept/early oct. 3 mobile are doing iphone4 deals so maybe o2 are being stingy?

HarrietJones · 07/08/2011 20:19

O2 have reduced about 2 weeks ago but still more than I wanted! Maybe it's heading in the right direction though. Orange weren't any better.

My contract is up in Nov and I am thinking of an Iphone.

DD went to sleep dead quickly at 1900 then woke at 1930 and won't settle. Have tried normal soothing techniques, not working. She's not ill, not hungry and there are no tears. Its just yelling. Definitely tired as she hasn't slept since lunchtime and she's not sat up in bed, just laid there shouting and getting frustrated.

SeaShellsMyDogSmells · 07/08/2011 20:37

Calpol deficiency Mock Wink i hope you are ok, pretty rubbish ATM I should think (hug)

iPhones take over your life, be warned.

We have thunder-pretty cool!

HarrietJones · 07/08/2011 20:40

Yes totally addicted here Blush

Dd3 is currently waking after about an hour & throwing up. Just waiting for that then I can relax!

I have a blackberry and have iphone envy whenever I steal dh's, couldn't justify the contract cost when I was on maternity pay though.

I'm not going anywhere either, after 18 months I would really miss you all!

ds now does a little rowing motion if I sing row row row the boat, so cute.

I am all in a stress tonight as dh friend /boss is veeeery pessimistic about the state of the world economy. It feels a thousand times more worrying this time round with a child to look after than it did a couple of years back.

You may be right Seashells! Grin. She's just gone to sleep. I fed her again and let her comfort feed but she still cried when I put her down so I sat really awkwardly with one hand on her and if I removed it she cried. Managed to replace hand with heavy lavender wheat filled stuffed dog that she loves so there is the reassuring presence.....hoping she'll be ok. Incidentally she has not had any pain relief since Tuesday lunchtime when my mum gave her nurofen so I am very pleased.

HarrietJones · 07/08/2011 21:25

Can tell you're a BB, double posting Wink dh just changed over from a BBto a IPhone. He kept pinching mine!

I'm iPhone addict lover too. So easy and I even prefer it over my laptop at times.

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 07/08/2011 21:34

Yes we do! Has anyone seen NoHun's video on FB of her DS? I am really impressed. Its lovely to see the babies get so excited when they are doing something new. DD is like that with crawling.

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 07/08/2011 21:57

Just having a nosey round FB and found one of my cousins who is about 15. On his interests all he's written is 'women' Grin.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 07/08/2011 21:59

My dd is getting to be a rather brilliant dancer, and she loves it. It has become part of our breakfast ritual. We have to have the radio on, she dances a little then I copy and she goes mad with it Grin It make me smile every morning.

floozietoozie · 08/08/2011 00:16

Don't worry, I have faith in this group!!! Mock, I've PMed you.

Just come back from a pub quiz which is my sort of regular night out.

SilverSky · 08/08/2011 07:45

I heart pub quizzes!

The news of the day is I feel rotten. Sore throat has developed into golf balls and swallowing hurts. Feel generally rough. Not looking forward to looking after baby boy today. Not cos of him as he is lovely most of the time but I'm lacking energy to parent. I hate being ill.

HarrietJones · 08/08/2011 08:06

School shoes & bags today. Ddswant library and we need some shopping. I can't drag myself out of bed.

OP posts:
MockingbirdsNotForSale · 08/08/2011 10:05

PM'd you back Floozie Smile.

HJ school shopping already?! How organised of you!

Silver- that sounds rubbish. The only thing that helps my throat when I've ingested golfballs is paracetamol.

Still haven't heard from DH Sad. Pouncing on that little sign that says I have new mail and being very disappointed when its not him.....

busyprocrastinating · 08/08/2011 10:10

I'm a pub quiz and iphone lover too Smile and am glad to hear that you are all planning on staying here- I feel like I have been through a lot with you all.
Your little dancer sounds so cute Ty
Thats rubbish Silver hope you are feeling better soon.
I was feeling the same HJ about my bed this morning. So far me and DD have made it to the settee but have got lots to do today.
Camping was fab and we had a lovely time having long walks with the dog. Unfortunately due to the tent flooding we had to come back a day early. We had also decided to keep the dog and work through the issues and I was feeling really positive about it but then it became obvious DD was allergic and messing with DDs health was a deal breaker so it had to go back Sad

busyprocrastinating · 08/08/2011 10:12

Sorry x posted Mock hope you hear from DH soon- am sure you will.

NoHunIntended · 08/08/2011 11:37

Great to see you here, Floozie. Glad all is well. Mountain air sounds great. London smoggy heat, less so! :)

Mock, six MONTHS? Yowsers. How horrid for you all. Hope you hear from your DH soon. Annoying about your mother and the BLW thing. Though DS here goes through patches of eating lots, to not eating so much, to wanting DH or I to hold the food while he guides our hand into our mouth (what is that about!!! Think he was a Roman Emperor in a previous life or something!). I am sure you will get back on track, I do believe their survival instinct is strong and they will eat when hungry. Mine is also still on a fair amount of breastmilk, so I don't worry.

Has been lovely putting faces to names re Fb, but am perfectly happy blethering away on here.
Have been really busy this weekend so not online much. We finally got our new wardrobes that we ordered a while ago, so have been busy putting clothes away, and de-junking. Trying to be more minimal.
I also don't have a fancy pants phone to email/mn on, it just does texts, phonecalls and photos - am only on PAYG in a bid to save money, so no nice iPhone for me. And we are only on one laptop as mine broke, so I am sharing DH's. So if I am not online as much, it's not 'cos I've buggered off to Fb! :)

DS has taken to grinding his teeth. I have looked it up online and it says it is normal and not to fret, but I can't help feeling concerned he is going to grind his teeth away Sounds like he is doing so much damage. Hope he stops soon.
