Eek it's going so fast!

Well my night out has been cancelled so it's not an urgent rush round the shops but we are going to have z look for some summery clothes anyway.

I'm winding down bfing too, as won't go beyond a year. Ill have fed 2 children for a year each, that will be enough for my bfing halo to stay in place Wink plus I want my body back, to wear full dresses not skirt/top, and to finally splash out on some decent underwear to make my boobs look decent (they are obviously going to disappear when I finish feeding, they are already rapidly disappearing!!)

Which to stop first-the pm one (easy) or the night time one (which will involve crying as she uses it to get back to sleep)?

BFF I hope your course goes well-LO will be fine with out you, and so leased to see you when she next does

We have our first settling in morning tomorrow at the CM. This return to work milarky is getting rightfully close (t - 10d)

SilverSky · 03/08/2011 15:00

I'm going to drop mid pm first.

Put on a vest top today, maternity one and I look hideous. Have change into normal bra and it's improved a bit but I need to do exercise other than riding. Must must must check out crèche at gym.

Sorry to post and run! Car has gone ass up !

HarrietJones · 03/08/2011 18:29

Afternoon is easier as it can be replaced by a snack. Dd3 has almost dropped lunch, I was fine yesterday without it. She had one today though as it was hot. Also drank about 2ozwater which is the best so far.

As an aside it was so exciting today she went from 6am til 3pm without a nap , I was knackered but she didn't seem it!

I have not cut down dd with milk, but guess I could swap the mid afternoon with juice. She doesnt eat enough in my opinion atm, for about a week, I am blaming teething as her tooth is nearly through.
She stood up today holding onto the gymnast equipment :)

HarrietJones · 03/08/2011 19:01

I'm leaving it up to her but food at lunch is very important! Snacks are getting popular too!

DS has mid pm bf and snack. Some days he's bothered others he larks about. He's getting less and less bothered. Wondering whether once the freezer of bm is used then he can go on to water at nursery. It's only 8 wks once he starts and then he'll be a year anyway......

MonsterBookOfTysons · 04/08/2011 11:58

Arghhhh I am trying to organise swim lessons for both dc, it is all fine till Sophie moves up in 2 months then I have minus 1 minute to get ds ready and dd dried and dressed and put into the creche, arghhhh.

NoHunIntended · 04/08/2011 16:30

Sounds too hectic, Ty.

Didn't have as long a swim today as usual, the water was blimmin' freezing. Brrr.

So what are you all doing for their first birthday?

MonsterBookOfTysons · 04/08/2011 18:08

No Hun it is bloody expensive too, am thinking it would be better to just take them swimming each week with dh and I.
We are going to take dc to Peppa pig world, stay overnight in a hotel and then spend the day inSouthampton and go to a very cool swimming pool. The hotel is booked. We are going to try and make a pig cake Grin

bestfootforwards · 04/08/2011 19:03

silver I had a proper wobble when I read your post and realised its a matter of weeks till ds turns one!! Feels like so little time ago that he was newborn!

ty which pool? Is it the quays? I used to go swimming there in the main pool when I was pregnant.I really want to take ds but we are still waiting for his eczema to properly settle. Lots of my colleagues like taking their children to pepppa pig world Smile

HarrietJones · 04/08/2011 19:04

I used to take dds to swimming lessons as it motivated me to go. Current pool doesn't do them & there's only 3 slots a week I can use with dd3. I've made sure I have The right afternoon off work though.
Just having my first pumping session in ages, despite feeding twice this afternoon I'm engorged. Need to relieve myself a bit before I do bedtime. 6 oz so far

OP posts:
MonsterBookOfTysons · 04/08/2011 19:07

BFF It is Romsey Rapids. I will google the quays. :)
We used to live in Bassett, Southampton before we moved to Northampton, I cant wait to go back and be nosey, am thinking of meeting up with an old friend but our lives are so different I am worried it will be really awkward.
HJ that is why I am thinking of doing it, plus I have no idea how to get them to swim Grin

NoHunIntended · 04/08/2011 19:44

Ty, that's what we do - I take him two or three times in the week, then DH comes with us one day at the weekend. It costs me just over £50 for my gym membership, I do baulk at that price, but never mind! It's a bit annoying that I am limited to only being able to go between 2-5.30, when we are just starting to get up a bit earlier in the morning, and I feel like I waste the morning sometimes just waiting to go swimming.

Are they old enough at one to appreciate something like PP World?

BFF, I KNOW! I can't believe it. Where on earth has the time gone? He is a toddler now, not a baby!

DS is walking now, so cute seeing him toddle about!

MonsterBookOfTysons · 04/08/2011 19:56

No Hun congrats to your ds re his walking.
I like to believe that no matter what you do for their first birthday they will forget about it. So may as well get some brilliant photos Grin
Seriously we took ds to Thomas land for his first birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed it :) He didnt know who Thomas was either, nor does Sophie know who PP is. If nothing else I will have fun Grin
Also after ds's party this year and family members telling me who can and cant go, I am avoiding family get togethers Grin

NoHunIntended · 04/08/2011 20:19

Ah thanks!

:) Ha ha - I said that to my mum today, about the photos! :) And also that they can look back on them and see that we celebrated.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 04/08/2011 20:21

Exactly, and I thought Dd might be abit irratated if she can see I took ds to TL and she didnt go anywhere. Got to keep it fair :)

NoHunIntended · 04/08/2011 20:41

True, very true! :)

busyprocrastinating · 04/08/2011 21:28

I don't know what has been up with me this week I've been very emotional Sad I don't think getting the dog has helped and I have seriously considered taking her back Sad I think she is struggling with the change.

Anyway, that's brill on the walking Hun
I have finally got dd swimming lessons booked and also managed to get her in a sing and sign class.
Not sure about 1st birthday yet- I can't believe we are nearly there! I keep having ideas and having to remind myself it will be October then so the weather will be rubbish. Talking of weather wish us luck we are off camping in the morning Hmm

floozietoozie · 04/08/2011 22:40

Hello everyone. I'm still here (and still me HJ!). I've been on holidays for two weeks and before that not on the computer much. Lots of posts to catch up on. Me and my mum flew to Germany with the kids while dp got the train as he hates flying. HAve to say ds was a star. Despite his mobility problems he was a little trouper and walked loads through airports and train stations with his walker, which helped a bit as dd is getting heavier in the sling now, plus luggage of course. It was nice and scenic if a bit cloudy, and rainy at times, but lovely mountain air to make up for it. I also stayed in London just me and kids at my DSis's for three days which was lovely if VERY hot, and bit tricky with tubes and lack of lifts. Luckily my Bil came with us to places and dealt with pram/walker/ds up stairs. Not a disabled/small child friendly place to be.

I still haven't taken dd swimming, as it's just been too difficult with ds only in nursery 2.5 hours and her feeding/sleeping times. Sadly DP doesn't swim and won't come in the water and I can't take them both myself, even if you were allowed to, as ds needs help at all times. It will be much easier once ds is in school - in less than five weeks, eek!!!! I have no plans for dd's birthday yet, but I expect we'll have a party in the house like we did for ds. Her actual birthday is my last official day of maternity leave but I'm going to take at least that week off (if not more - can you tell I'm keen to go back ?Grin).

Good luck to those of you who are returning very soon. I had a phone call from the creche at work asking me what days etc I want, so I'm going to have to force myself into the office and sort it out. I'm making it sound dreadful, and it really isn't. I like my colleagues and have a great line manager, it's just I really, really don't want to leave the children. Also, I've done the job for a long time, so I know once the novelty of being back wears off I'll probably get bored quite quickly with the same old routine, although the actual stuff of day to day is always different. Can't complain though, at least I have a job (touch wood) and I only have to work three days.

Busy have fun camping.

bestfootforwards · 04/08/2011 22:54

Nice to hear from you floozie! Am very impressed at all your adventures!

ty romsey rapids loads better, I haven t been but was going to suggest it to you as it sounds better than the quays! Totally agree with you, pick something you will enjoy too Grin. I suspect ds's ideal birthday would be sitting at home watching the washing machine and chewing the tv remote, but we're thinking of a birthday lunch on the day and then maybe a weekend away somewhere

busy I hope camping goes well. I hope things settle with the dog, it will take a bit of adjusting for all of you

I'm seeing practice again today with a hangover, bad times lol

MonsterBookOfTysons · 05/08/2011 15:19

Hi Floozie, lovely to hear from you :)
BFF I used to love romsey rapids. Is ocean village as nice as I seem to remember with the Gem shop? Also I used to like the smaller shopping centre, cant remember the name but it had a wildlife kinda shop. Great!
I loved living down there. :)
