Eek it's going so fast!

Well my night out has been cancelled so it's not an urgent rush round the shops but we are going to have z look for some summery clothes anyway.

Thanks Grin, now only two more to go and that will be that for this course. I can't wait to finish so I can spend some one on one time with the boy, I think I'll see if I can take him to the beach to see how he does.

HJ Are you back at your normal spot then?

HarrietJones · 01/08/2011 15:40

At work? They've moved while I've been off, I'm now in a new teamwho are moving some point before I get back!

Thats good Mock about DD been able to eat stuff you are allergic to.
Well done Trib hope the others all go as well.
Had the weekend away for the hen do, which I wasn't really looking forward to, but it was really good and the place we stayed was beautiful.
Picked up our new doggy this evening

HarrietJones · 02/08/2011 07:13

Don't want to get up. Don't want to go to work.

Well done trib!! Very impressive!!

Ds has started sharing things with me, I thought this was adorable when he offered me a lick of the apple he had been licking, and adorable when he offered me a drink from his sippy cup (and adjusted it to make sure it was the right angle )but this morning he was chewing on dh's weird fabric sailing belt, and he offered me a chew, yum yum

hj is today your first day back? It will be ok Smile

Come on hj, it will be fine. You'll get a hit drink all to yourself for once. I hope it goes ok.

Smug prat of a parent boasting all over my fb status about how his daughter sleeps, I wouldn't wish a sleep regression on anyone but for him, well actually I'd probably just kick him.

this too shall pass.

btt awwww how sweet.

HarrietJones · 02/08/2011 10:03

Just saw that on FB. Dd3 threw up at 2am if that makes you feel better.

It's just a KIT day today but am v flappy about it. Not even got the advantage of seeing work mates as it's chaos with the restructure& everyones moving again. Dh isn't making it easy to leave. He's gone to town now for money & lunch. I wanted to have left by now to get it over with.

Phew survived! I'm home & waiting for kids to get back. Met some of my new team( knew by sight) & new boss was very gentle with me! She suggested some training to sign up for so have done that & re activated my computer. People kept offering me drinks & biscuits but I was too nervous. Dh has been texting me updates.

Well done HJ. I've been "seeing practice" today for the first time in 18mths. My brain hurts.

Grrr smug parents with sleeping babies...mine hardly slept
Last night either so you are not alone :)

SilverSky · 02/08/2011 16:03

I have a rampaging sprog! Diagonally across the lounge in his walker. He is literally running!!! Poor dawg is playing dodge the mobile sprog!!

Had to buy another grobag as the one we have is mothercare own and they are bit fleecey/velour, which is a bit warm for this weather so got cotton one. . I'm now over £30 poorer but happier that DS wont be over hot in it. Can't leave him in nappy as he just scratches his groin and good job he had the bag on yday as he did megapoo which exited the nappy and was caught by the sleeping bag.

I'm dreading returning to work. Need to get back in shape. Need to get bras. Need new clothes.

HarrietJones · 02/08/2011 16:15

I'm ignoring the get inshape. I have 2 decent feeding bras which will be used on work days so that just leaves the clothes. I have one top. No idea what else to buy. People wear either jeans or black trousers & casual tops etc

Yeah I saw that comment trib, what a prat! Ds is a dreadful sleeper too.

Glad you survived your first days hj and seashells

TribbleWithoutACause · 02/08/2011 19:34

hj silver I'm after an underwired feeding bra for work as well. I have tried a normal one but It didn't feel quite right.

hj I'm glad it went well for you today. Good on you for making it through the day.

seashells I agree with you, plus you don't want to hear the fact that other babies are sleeping when yours isn't. Plus it's nothing that you do, either they sleep or they don't.

HarrietJones · 02/08/2011 20:03

My hot milk ones are fairly supportive even with no wires

OP posts:
SilverSky · 02/08/2011 22:41

I'm not sure whether to bother with feeding ones for work...... I'm not planning on bfing longer than a year. I'm wanting my body back and he's messing around a lot more with pulling away and generally making it a bit traumatic, only the mid PM feed really. Sometimes of a bedtime if he's not tired enough. Oh well, nothings straight forward is it!!

I do think that genuinely some people are very insenstive about the whole sleeping thing or they want to rub your nose in it. I know its bloody hard but try and rise above it. Their time will come Its bound too. Kids are involved!!

HarrietJones · 03/08/2011 06:31

I'm likely to be expressing at work so feeding bra will make it easier. I'm very easily engorged/mastitis so the stretchiness will help too

OP posts:
bestfootforwards · 03/08/2011 08:30

I found feeding bras were needed for the first few weeks as I was getting engorged quite regularly, now ds is fully onto bottles in the day (couldn't face expressing in new job!) I can wear normal underwired ones again. The only thing is when I get home and its time to feed him I always wish I was wearing a feeding bra!

How's the new dog settling in bp?

On my way to london for a course, I feel all nervous about going so far from ds and unless course finishes early I will miss bedtime for the first time. Its. A course I really want to do though, so hopefully it will be worth it, and because we have flexitime I will be able to finish early another day to make up for it at least.

Was just about to say Hot Milk - I have a couple, and they are fantastic. I don't think I'll go back to underwired ever again! Might wear HMs even when I finish BFing! :)

Hope all the back-to-workers, KIT attendees and courses are going well.

Non-sleepies, have you a chance to take them swimming? DS is always conked out after a session in the pool.

HarrietJones · 03/08/2011 10:30

Dd3 is still bouncing now after swimming! Think we are heading the way of dd2 who can swim a mile and still talk my head off and want to play out Confused

When I was last at work my normal m and s bras were fine, I've tried a feeding bra but u think I do need an underwire. But more of a gentle underwire due to boobs being a tad sensitive to pressure.

I need to have a look to see if its worth it, if not I might try my hand at converting one of my old ones to see how it goes.
