Eek it's going so fast!

Well my night out has been cancelled so it's not an urgent rush round the shops but we are going to have z look for some summery clothes anyway.

hj did you have a go at expressing and giving it her in a sippy cup? Also have you tried a bottle with a straw? Ds has one of those (a Nuby one) or just get an ordinary straw with a cup. Anyway it seems to work for him, plus they don't have to tip the cup to drink.

Anyway if they're anything like ds, they'll take the minimum till they get hold of you. Ds's night feeds are really really long so I think he gets his fill then.

From my own experience the thought of going back to work is worse than actually doing it. I thought it would be awful and although the first week was horrid after that it got easier.

She takes water from a doidy. Better on 1:1 as if dh & I are both there she shows off and shakes it. Dh is taking all three out on Tues. Should be interesting!

I'm back in four weeks. Sad I'm sad about leaving DS but I know I'll get over it. Wouldn't be so bad but I've nit had a good time in my current job. Been bullied in a very sly way. In such a way that the crafty moo has made herself appear the victim! I kid you not.

bestfootforwards · 31/07/2011 16:37

ty I remember how excited you were when you were offered the place! That's why I think you should try it. If you miss the little ones too much or the course isn't right you can change you mind. But obviously its whatever feels right for you when the time comes. I was a wreck leaving ds to start work, but after the first few days I now really enjoy it. Not saying its the same for everyone of course.

seashells well done on the back to work revision, I kept meaning to do some but didn't have the discipline. Luckily my emplyer was nice about me needing to get back up to speed.

silver that sounds like a horrible way to be bullied Sad

BFF I certainly will be trying it now, it is dh and my only way to buying a house, I dont want to privately rent forever Grin

SilverSky · 31/07/2011 17:53

I was ft going back pt. Not me that was signed off.

No doubt nursery will be in touch next week to organise induction days. Where has the time gone! I could happily stat at home with chubbychops forever. Well til he went to school!

NoHunIntended · 31/07/2011 18:06

I would work but I want to work closer to home in a low stress job( well one you don't wake up in the night thinking about!) but that's dh turn at the moment!

I vaguely Job hunt but I need a certain salary as minimum and difficult to get within my town and still work p/t. Oh and it needs to be permanent. I've seen a few interesting ones but usually one year contracts.

I think I'll like my new job better than the last one but it's the stress I don't like

I can understand that HJ-Ive not applied for jobs at bigger/better/more money practices because of the hours and stress involved in that. It's got to be a compromise, and these days I put family first, which is a reallly nice change :)

SilverSky · 31/07/2011 19:38

Me too which is why I'm only pt but effectively doing my old job in less hours so we'll have to see how it goes. New hours is probationary.

HarrietJones · 31/07/2011 20:15

I used to work p/t t/t but it was over 5 days. In my current job I get more at home time but work in school hols. Dh has done similar. V full on t/t p/t in s/h to p/t all year. We've allot less Money but more relaxed!

Is anyone else ridiculously broody? Everytime I see a newborn baby I sort of melt and something inside of me just wants to throw caution to the wind and get pregnant again.

Although this could be an extreme plan of trying to get out of my upcoming exam this week.

HarrietJones · 01/08/2011 08:56

I'm not that bad yet
I do go over and over the logistics of dc4. Swapping bedrooms, how much we need to win on the lottery finances, my SPD(seeing consultant in September), section number 4....

SeaShellsMyDogSmells · 01/08/2011 09:36

What's t/t s/t [dunce] ?!

Meant to be working this am but it's gorgeous again and I had a lie in as the dc had me up a lot last night, slow start and it's going to be very hot again today which is not making me move any faster!!

HarrietJones · 01/08/2011 09:47

Term time/school hols.

V panicky about KIT tomorrow.

OP posts:
SeaShellsMyDogSmells · 01/08/2011 10:33

Ah... Thanks!

Yup, I'm back in a practice tomorrow for the first time in 18mths so scared stiff too. We will be fine!

At least I'm finding my reading interesting...may be the break has been a great way of actually taking stock and appreciating my job again?!!

NoHunIntended · 01/08/2011 10:47

Tribble, yes, very broody! :)

HJ, hope the KIT day goes ok.

Sea, enjoy the lazy day in the sun.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 01/08/2011 12:01

Newborn babies are making me coo at the moment.
But sense wins, we cant afford a new car for just over a year and we live in a 2 bed flat with 2 dc already

I think we will have another baby 0one day but maybe when I have finished my uni course and bought a house now :)

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 01/08/2011 12:13

When I see a newborn I smile, remembering DD but it doesn't make me broody. I am quite happy with my lot.

DD is proving to be a chip off her Daddy's block by liking/not being allergic to foods I can't eat. She loves mushrooms (I don't) Marmite on toast (I hate it, DH loves it) eggs- I'm allergic and dairy products (I'm allergic). The only thing that does not agree with her is yoghurt and she doesn't like carrots. She even had chicken liver the other day!

TribbleWithoutACause · 01/08/2011 12:37

Got 100% in the first exam of this week, [grins].

MonsterBookOfTysons · 01/08/2011 12:40

Well done Tribb Grin

SeaShellsMyDogSmells · 01/08/2011 12:50

Grin well done! That takes some doing with a LO around :)
