Eek it's going so fast!

Well my night out has been cancelled so it's not an urgent rush round the shops but we are going to have z look for some summery clothes anyway.

Oooh you're making me fancy a camping trip with ds now Smile

I still think of you all by your original names too. I want a new less moany one for me but am lacking inspiration at the moment

I keep imagining I can feel a baby inside me not sure what is up with my insides! Makes me miss being pregnant a little. Although I am loving this stage so much, ds changing every day and such fun company

tf, how about HappyFeet? Then I'll always sing that song when I see your name!

I miss being pg - I absolutely loved being pg. Love being a mum too. It's all good.

SilverSky · 17/07/2011 12:56

I'm sure I can feel similar movements such as my tummy rippling tho knowing my luck the surgeon probably left something behind!

bestfootforwards · 17/07/2011 14:23

Happy feet was taken Sad so am trying this for size... At least its a bit more positive!

Ds has been refusing a morning nap and having a long one at lunch time this week, anyone else finding the same?

sorry about all the double posting! my phone's fault, am not sure why it does it.
can I ask for suggestions from you for where to look for a nice smart but comfy outfit for ds for my sister's wedding in a few weeks time? can't seem to find anything I like (tried m&s, next, gap, mothercare so far...)

NoHunIntended · 17/07/2011 16:47

I like the new name! BFF! :)

The Style and Beauty forum on here should be better-able to advise. We're lucky and DS can just wear a kilt. Easy! :)

SeaShellsMyDogSmells · 17/07/2011 17:10

I'm a bit lazy with wedding outfits as I tend to find my dc just want to running and crawling around outside and are not "on show" much (weddings are a nightmare with 2 under 3)
I go for smartish trousers, a shirt (soft linen) and a waistcoat (again soft). Dd2 also goes in trousers as she is crawling and gets really frustrated in a dress as she keeps putting her knees on it. I've got a few pretty tops for her.
The reason why I say soft is last summer we dressed Ds1 up in national costume and it ended up being one o the hottest days and e tantrummed the whole day, and looked sooooo uncomfortable Blush

HarrietJones · 17/07/2011 18:16

dd3 has been in a fight with friends dd. She now has scratches down her face & I'm going into work tomorrow with her! Fingers crossed the go down quick!!!

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 17/07/2011 20:47

Bron looked like she'd been in a fight when DH got home on Friday night. Red eye from where she'd rubbed it with food on her hand and then multiple scratches!

BFF- try Monsoon they often have smartish baby stuff. I got some cheap stuff in their sale. www.monsoon.co.uk/children/baby-boy-0-3-years/icat/babyboy/ You could just get a waist coat from there and team it with existing trousers and shirt. Although I'm sure he'd look good in a nice pair of dungarees with a t-shirt. Comfy too.

TribbleWithoutACause · 17/07/2011 22:13

Did she win? Grin

DS has a horrid cold and as a result has a very snotty nose. The thing is he keeps rolling around on the floor and getting bits stuck to his face (gosh I sound like a right slattern) as a result of his runny nose, he looks like a proper grubby little boy (doesn't matter how many times I wipe him). Also if I'm honest, a bit feral.

BFF I like Next's stuff, they often have smartish baby boy stuff. TBH I'd just buy something cute (probably with ears on it) and wait for DS to rue the day that I dressed him up as some sort of woodland creature.

I've ended up with mastitis, typical really.

HarrietJones · 17/07/2011 22:32

No I think she lost :(

Mastitis is shit. Are you managing to feed plenty? It's more efficient than pumping. Are you in work?

Really nervous about meeting new boss tomorrow. Don't want the days I previously requested but not sure I can get them changed

OP posts:
SpringFlowers · 18/07/2011 15:30

HJ How did you get on at work today? Have you managed to work the days that you wanted to?

Tribble I am working and expressing during the day. It's really tiresome although I am lucky in that I have my own office. Does your DS actually drink the milk that you express? I am only expressing to keep my supply up and even though the childminder offers it DD3 doesn't drink any milk while I'm at work Sad. I try to feed her more 'normally' at the weekend but she expects is less and less. Over the summer holidays I am going to wind down to morning and evening feeds so that the expressing can stop. I'm very sorry to hear about your mastitis, lousy.

BFF I like the name change - I still think of everyone by their 'old' names too though!

NoHun I am missing being pregnant, I love my pregnant belly! I think I've got one more baby in me, but that will have to be my limit. I'm too old and have three already. DH isn't quite as sure am I am though. We will definately have to wait a couple of years. You are very welcome to have my period for me if you like so that you can conceive!

Mocking Your poor DD with her eyes and scratches.

~~~working at home is very good for catching up on mn!~~~
HarrietJones · 18/07/2011 16:04
Spring- dh is more positive than me about another baby. I'm not sure I'm physically up to it. Work are putting in a assessment fore due to still having SPD as it's going to limit my work. I went through every combo of days & requested different ones to my original request. They like it cos I'm working busy points & split days. I like 1 in 1 off!
New boss was nice , dd3 was v good & charmed everyone, only issue may be expressing. No where has a lock. Bosses office best option( good blinds)!& she offered to let me use it as long as there's no meetings. I'm hoping to get away with once a day ( how often does anyone else?)
Ooh didn't think of monsoon, thanks mocking! I would be inclined to just put him in comfy dungarees myself but my dad and sister have gone at me so much to get a smart outfit. Am sort of tempted by the animal costume idea though trib Grin
Sorry to hear about the mastitis tribble :( .
I am down to just morning and evening feeds. ds has formula in the day. I couldn't cope with the idea of expressing when starting a new job, I never got on well with it anyway.
Glad new boss is nice hj
Good to hear from you spring flowers Smile
TribbleWithoutACause · 18/07/2011 19:28
spring yeah ds takes milk from others when I leave him, he's had a few funny moments with the bottle bt generally he's been ok with it.
hj no, I've mostly been lying on the sofa today if I'm honest.
MockingbirdsNotForSale · 18/07/2011 19:48
Sorry to hear about the mastitus Trib. When you express, towards the end do you press firmly on your breast one press at a time in a circular direction to get the last of the milk out? It might help so a blocked duct doesn't happen.
HarrietJones · 18/07/2011 20:11
Nohun- did you say you were doing EC? We just sit dd3 on the potty before her bath cos she kept weeing on us and she sits & watches for the wee now. Dh is convinced more than me that she is aware what is happening
OP posts:
MonsterBookOfTysons · 18/07/2011 21:00
Hi
What is EC? And who is BFF please :)
HarrietJones · 18/07/2011 21:29
SeaShellsMyDogSmells · 18/07/2011 21:35
Tiredfeet Grin happyfeet was already taken and she wanted something more positive.
I'm not doing EC with Dd but I suspect she will be quicker at potty training, she is with everything else
HarrietJones · 18/07/2011 21:49
Ah thanks. I didn't think about BFF standing for somethingelse Blush long day!
SilverSky · 18/07/2011 21:57
trib before expressing shower head on the breast really helps. Mastitis is rotten. Hope it shifts quickly.
