Eek it's going so fast!

Well my night out has been cancelled so it's not an urgent rush round the shops but we are going to have z look for some summery clothes anyway.

Tribble/mock- have PMed you , the car has problems with the exhaust & the garage said it would be done first thing but not finished(started?) yet.
Having a week of it. Washing machine is full of water & won't drain and the car had a puncture last week.

I hope you got together!

Dd is trying to cruise...this is all happening too quickly!

SilverSky · 01/07/2011 08:50

We are attempting bum shuffling and throwing ourselves on the floor a lot. It's only going to get worse!!!!!!

Do you give your LOs satsumas? If so how? Grin

HarrietJones · 01/07/2011 09:04

I bite the pieces open. Dd3 sucks out the middle & ejects the 'skin'

OP posts:
NoHunIntended · 01/07/2011 11:04

DS likes satsuma too. I just put a piece in front of him. He has a good suck, but also sometimes likes to just squeeze it in his hands.
I just put up a new photo of him eating satsuma - makes me laugh.

We should have a Friday Five like the old days!

SilverSky · 01/07/2011 12:12

I'm a bit crap at being adventurous with food and stick to safe stuff so I don't give myself heartfailure!

Will give one a try today! Smile

HarrietJones · 01/07/2011 13:23

Tribble- were you in Boots in your town about 12 ish? Saw someone fitting your description looking at make up.

tiredfeet · 01/07/2011 14:16

Oh satsumas sounds like a good plan! Ds loves all fruit but especially raspberries. It looks like a massacre has taken place by the time he has finished with them.

Ds is crawling now, he did a little last weekend and then at nursery this week he has done loads. He doesn't do as much crawling at home as I think he knows we are there to always do his bidding (mainly the back breaking work of holding his hands so he can walk every where!!)

tiredfeet · 01/07/2011 14:19

Funny satsuma picture nohun ! Love the kilt picture too, very cute Grin

Massive fail on the satsuma front. He touched his lip with it and the promptly gagged.

TribbleWithoutACause · 01/07/2011 18:26

HJ Why yes I was , my Mum was looking for bronzer. Sounds rather crimewatchish doesn't it, I saw 'someone fitting your description'. Grin

DS loves satsuma, he had some tonight for his tea.

DS also had his nine month check today, he is 22lbs 4oz Shock and apparently is thriving according the to HV. She did remark about how tall he is though. DS has also learnt to clap today, I have been clapping at him all day to encourage his obvious genius status.

HarrietJones · 01/07/2011 19:11

'you' were at the till when I left with a woman talking to ds while you paid?

OP posts:
TribbleWithoutACause · 01/07/2011 19:26

HJ Was said woman rather loud with long dyed blond hair and glasses, may have called DS chicken at various points? I had cropped jeans on.

HarrietJones · 01/07/2011 19:36

Def blonde, not loud enough as I was hoping to hear his name to check it was you! Y cropped jeans, those that go in at the bottom

Helloo! Got back from the Lake District yesterday afternoon. Had a great time and it was lovely to see Tribble! Trib thank you for meeting me and sorry for being late! (I was an absolute muppet and lost my handbag then when getting it back, promptly lost my mobile phone). Trib's DS is gorgeous with aquamarine blue eyes. I asked him how he was and he said ok!

DD is still having ear problems and after 1hr45 of crying yesterday afternoon in the car, we got her to the GP and they've given us a different kind of antibiotic and have taken a swab. She seems happier today. She's just about to have cheese on toast- yum.

NoHunIntended · 02/07/2011 18:05

Thanks, tf.

Mock, hope you get those little ears sorted. Poor poppet.

All good here. DS is clambering up the stairs most capably now, and shrieking with delight at being allowed to! :)

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 02/07/2011 19:20

I liked the pic of your DS eating the satsuma NoHun. DD eats oranges quite happily and often has them for pudding. The other day we shared a really sour one that made me wince, but she was fine! I just give her the segments and she cracks on. Your DS is doing brilliantly! DD has really made some moves in just a few days. She can pull up, get herself sitting from lying down and is now crawling...albeit backwards! She keeps wedging herself under the dog beds (They have off the floor hammocks).

HarrietJones · 02/07/2011 20:09

Shock Grin at dog hammocks.

TribbleWithoutACause · 02/07/2011 22:04

Mock Thanks Grin, it was lovely to meet you as well. I hope DD is feeling better now, BTW she is adorable!!

Do the hammocks swing back and fourth? I just have this image of your dogs trying to get in them and swinging out the other side.

DS has had his eight month check, he is 22lbs now Shock and is well into his 9 - 12 month clothing. Actually I don't think he'll be in them long tbh so I've only bought him one or two bits.

We have also set out a serious plan of choosing a car seat. I think we're going to go with ERF, but with a three door car I'm still not sure how it will work.

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 02/07/2011 22:47

Wow- a serious child seat plan Grin Wink. We already have one we got before DD was born- a Britax one that is 0-4years, but a friend gave us a maxi cosi one to use as well which has turned out to be really helpful which is one of the ones you can fit onto a pushchair until they're too big for it.

Gosh at 22lbs! DD still wears 0-3 mth vests! That said, I think Sainsbury's sizes are large.

Sadly the hammocks are not your normal tropical paradise ones....They have metal ends so can stand on the floor.

DD seems to be improving- as well as the new abs, I'm putting olive oil drops in her ears twice a day which she hates. The doc said she'd refer her if the swab came back negative and if that happens and the ENT docs say she can have ear irrigation, they'd want the wax to be softened with olive oil so I'm trying to get ahead. She's still in pain and I hate having to give her painkillers so much. However she did go straight to sleep after her feed tonight with no crying or ear pulling, she just turned away and slept immediately so thats better than the previous 2 nights.

Both my mother and my MIL have had falls this week. My mother tripped over a tree stump and got concussed with bruising and a sprained wrist. My MIL tripped in a builders merchants and broke her wrist, blacked her eye and sprained her ankle. Sad.

TyDontWannaMissAthing · 03/07/2011 12:45

Hello Ladies :)
Dd is now sitting strongly, rolling everywhere and trying to crawl, she can also stand Grin
I cant wait till she is toddling, it will make life so much more fun, her and ds will be able to play much better together :)
Dd is going through a not wanting to eat anything but breakfast atm, and she is only little anyway, but she has a bad cold so hoping when that clears up she will get the munchies!
Love the pic with the satsuma NoHun :)
Mock sorry about your mum and mil :(

SeaShellsAndTheInlawInvasion · 03/07/2011 12:54

Mock :( I hope they have a speedy recovery

NoHunIntended · 04/07/2011 12:02

Wow, Mock, that is not nice re the grandmothers. Hope they both recover well, soonest.

Hi, Ty. Hope your LO's cold clears up. Glad she is doing well otherwise.
