Eek it's going so fast!

Well my night out has been cancelled so it's not an urgent rush round the shops but we are going to have z look for some summery clothes anyway.

Aw, Mock, poor you. Well, we have lovely babies at the end of it, so got to be grateful for that.

HarrietJones · 25/06/2011 20:04

Sorry mock/tribble Friday is now out for me. Week is filling up!

tribble and mock and others who had traummatic births, I'm really sorry to hear that. My sil has had to have several operations post-forceps and my friend had post traumatic stress disorder from her birth, so I have seen how much it can affect people. They seem to be a lot more 'recovered' another year down the line I hope that gives you some comfort.

Am wishing I was up north and could join your meet up!

I never realised it was near the beach, which is where it will win dh over Grin

floozietoozie · 26/06/2011 22:39

Have a lovely meet up you lot. I've never been to the lake district though ivbeen through en route to Scotland many, many times.

I'm home alone, ie minus dp, for four days and ds is being helpful as usual and is STILL BLEEDING AWAKE. When oh when will I learn not to let the little blighter lie in even if it is a Sunday morning??? I'm paying for not running him round in the heat today. Trouble is he has new splints and can't walk very well in them yet. I've also been a complete muppet about shopping before dp went away and now have nothing prepared for tomorrow, including formula for dd. I tried to go this aftrnoon but I didn't have the pram as dp had removed it to get his stuff in the car when I dropped him off at be station and ds just couldn't manage the walk from the car to the shop so I had to turn back.

busyprocrastinating · 26/06/2011 23:58

I hope that you all enjoy your meet up. Am sure that you will have a brill time.
Sounds like you are having fun and games floozie hope that DS has gone to sleep and you manage to get to the shops.
It has been lovely here today and we have had a lovely day at DBs with his children in the garden.
Its my last week before work so fully intend to make the most of it. I've got a very busy day planned tomorrow so hoping the weather stays fine.

HarrietJones · 27/06/2011 11:57

Dh is currently altering the bannister to fit a safety gate on. I took dd3 off the stairs three times in 20 mins before 9 this am. We can't find one to fit so he is doing some alterations. If she can climb one stair she can do the lot she just doesn't know it yet. I've also removed the bin & coffee table which were safe but she's worked out how to get there now

TribbleWithoutACause · 27/06/2011 12:07

HJ My friend has an extendable stair gate that she got in Morrisons for about a tenner.

DS is currently munching his way through some toast. I've decided that today is a house day. There is way too much clutter that needs to be decluttered. Freecycle is calling me thinks.

HarrietJones · 27/06/2011 12:14

Stairs are a height problem rather than width. The bannister is too short for the fittings.
We also have patio doors than are too wide for the extensions but too short for baby dan combos.

Any advice regarding dd's leg keep getting stuck in the bars of her cot and hurting her? Is there something out there to stop this happening? It is driving me mad :(

SpringFlowers · 27/06/2011 20:15

It is way too hot Sad...we are all hot and grumpy here. And fiinding it difficult to sleep...

TribbleWithoutACause · 27/06/2011 21:33

Ty Airwrap cot liner might be worth a look at or alternatively put a cot bumper where her legs are. Is she in a sleeping bag?

TyDontWannaMissAthing · 27/06/2011 21:39

They look ideal Trib, thanks :)
