July 2010: C'mon threadbabes: eat like MLIC's; drink like TSC's; smile like Memphis's; laugh like Cakes's; crawl like nearly all of them (except Cake's)... but mainly: sleep like Spireals

I want a trampoline for L and have done for over a year but DH keeps saying that we've got too much stuff for her already. He's probably right but I still want one. They just added a bit to the local park and there's one there now so I should probably just go there more often.

Yea, I don't want a huge garden one, just a little bouncy one. [should've gone to tesco's emoticon]

That is the thing that makes the spark plugs fire at the right time. A new one costs about a tenner (I think) plus fitting costs, it involves taking a bit apart but I don't think it's a huge job tbh.

WhatSheSaid · 05/05/2011 19:26

Is the Krypton Factor blokey still local newsreader tsc? Or is he long gone? I remember back in "the day" when it was Richard Madeley and Tony Wilson.

Evening all,

so interesting to read what all the babes are up to. I'm too knackered now to think about ours, so will post it in the morning.

I really have to laugh at the monkey walk. I imagine them doing it while singing I wanna be like you and whistling. Hehe.

Oh, I meant to ask chulita and cake. Are you still using your AngelCare for your toddlers? What happens if they leave the bed when you are not there? Will you always go and switch off the alarm?

Also, to all toddler parents: When did you stop using sleeping bags and how did that work out? I can't imagine M ever staying under a duvet, she moves about in her cot so much so I'm planning on keeping her in sleeping bags for as long as possible, but they all seem to stop at size 1 year, or am I wrong there?

Tata.

DesperateHousewife21 · 05/05/2011 20:20

tsc oooh go on tell me! You DO have an accent Grin

WhatSheSaid · 05/05/2011 20:31

Trudyla I can't remember exactly when A stopped going in a sleeping bag - but they do them up to age 3.

Woodlands · 05/05/2011 20:31

Trudy J is in 6-18 month sleeping bags, though I don't know if they'll fit much past a year. I know they do sell 18-36 month sleeping bags so I'll be getting some of them when the time comes. They had lovely Grobag ones in TKMaxx the other day with tractors on and I was tempted, but they were still £16.

trudyla I don't use the monitor any more and haven't for several months. He kept moving off it and setting the alarm off. As for grobags they do them up to age 7/8 but L's been out of hers since the summer. I never thought we'd get there but in the warm weather it was too hot for one so we switched to a light quilt and never went back. I'm thinking of doing the same for S cos our 18-36 mth grobag is Princess Lucy so not one for a boy Grin

Sil had her lo this morning by emcs, haven't heard how they are yet but I'm so excited for them having a baby Grin

oooh L is getting a small trampoline for his birthday as he bounces a lot, my dad wants him to have a 12 foot one like he has at his, im not mad or crazy like him so i told him if he buys one it goes to the charity shop!!! can you imagine their faces if i rocked up at oxfam with one!!!
chulita how exciting about sil having a baby!! did they know what they were having?
tsc i think you need to go to night school to become a mechanic!!! i dont think its a big job i always get my parts off ebay then take them to garage or go to local parts shop that is cheap then it saves me money not having to get parts from their rip off suppliers!!
been to puppy class with satan pup tonight so dh has sorted L and I stupidly ate a flapjack and made my stitches bleed (still carried on eating it with the thoughts that the damage had been done!!!) then put together a new tv cabinet with doors on to stop L destroying everything to realise that my sky box wont work while in cabinet duh!! but at least the wii and dvd and the cd's are safe!! L wont know what has happened to them when he wakes up!!
I keep buying food, my cupboards, freezer and fridge are bursting full so next week i buy essentials and thats it!!! im the lowest ive ever been on nappies i usually have at least 100 stockpiled but as he has no bum to speak of he only fits properly in asda ones, huggies and pampers leak but as they have had the baby event on they are sold out of every one in 4 asda's ive been to, i had to buy pampers and they are awful i know he will wake wet in the morning, ive been told tesco ones are similar but they are sold out of size 4's too!!! grr!
