I liked the CRESH acronym more than FESH so have used it. Welcome all ESH to your final stop on the journey. Rest your aching lady bits, try one of the many gin based cocktails, and try to molest the gorgeous waiting staff.

pol The agent said the only chance was a very complicated attempt at applying for a small dwelling if it could be proven that it was essential to a business being run on the site. Not sure I've got the energy for that.

We're actually off to look at a couple of houses today. Need doing up, too far away, etc. But MrP wants to 'get a feel for the market'.Hmm Great - a hot day in the car with two kids.

Last night was hell, by the way. Clyde has a terribly blocked nose, in fact I suspect it is his sinuses or something. He has trouble breathing, screams, arches his back, can't sleep and won't be comforted. I am a zombie this morning.

AlpinePony · 23/04/2011 09:55

fanny I thought you husband was flexi/consultant type - you know, issuing orders by email/phone! Wink Like pols though, I've heard success stories by simplying occupying the land and winning permission in time "by default". Need a thick skin, thick coat and hot water bottles/dogs. Grin

pols Massive congrats on your fb announcement - well done! Grin As you'll be a poor student next year I shall definitely buy you lunch at Badminton. Wink

SilverSky · 23/04/2011 10:35

Morning CRESHs.

Bloody horses are bloody rubbish. They have no sense of timing and choose the most inappropriate bloody time to get bloody sick. The one and ONLY time I have plans and CRESH plans to boot, nag decides to worry me senseless with a party trick of "ooh let's see how long I can wheeze and cough for" . I'm so sorry Box. On a more caring note, I do hope he is ok and it's not going to end up as a Ventapulmin job.

I think that Glos may just be a tad too far for me. Tho I will investigate proper.

So will we go xc day for Badders next year?? Or the whole weekend?

AlpinePony · 23/04/2011 10:54

Well I reckon we need a day for x-country and a day for shopping. Blush

SilverSky · 23/04/2011 11:09

A child free weekend right?? Camping and Pimms anyone??

CluckyKate · 23/04/2011 11:28

2 days for shopping are required - one to browse and visit every single stand and then another to go back and actually make your per-chases. Then a day is needed to tootle round the course, pref. before the crowds appear, to go OMFG at the fences. Trot-up on the last day is essential viewing and, if we're there for that, we may as well stay for the SJ.

I actually enjoy watching the horses bucking & rearing dressage too. So, whole weekend for me. Have e-mailed them to suggest they offer some glamping for next year....give me a yurt over a tent any day and sod the money Grin

Crap news on the ponio Silv - presume he's just as upset at missing the party on Monday. This heat is not good for older, wheezy horses, esp. now the rape is flowering etc. Fingers crossed all settles down without expensive vet intervention.

SilverSky · 23/04/2011 15:12

cluck was so bad even in walk that I had to get orf and lead the poor bugger back to stables. His head was on the floor and o could hear every breath and I kept thinking "bloody hell lets get back to yard!" That rape travels for miles once airborne. No need to even be next door to the stuff.

Liking your Badders plan. Just got home and it's not on the red button. Instead its snooker.

SilverSky · 23/04/2011 20:16

Just remembered it's xc tmw.

AlpinePony · 24/04/2011 12:31

If cunty's (where isssss she?) not wandered off with the "bad mummy" grown again, can I have a go?

Was making a coffee and ignored the wailing... came back to find him with bloody chops - looks like he'd bounced his face off the carpet. :(

CUNextTuesday · 24/04/2011 13:50

Ah you know, horses schmorses. Here, catch

Muser · 24/04/2011 19:04

Dinner with a 9 month old, 6 month old and 10 week old is an experience. I think I need some gin.

Backinthebox · 24/04/2011 19:38

Try watching 6 hrs of Badminton with a chocolate-fuelled 3 and 2 year old, a 7 monther and an 8 weeker. It's going to take me days to get over it!

CluckyKate · 24/04/2011 20:50

Oh my God, it was hell wasn't it Box ....made worse by the telly breaking down just as it was getting exciting.

SJ tomorrow only MrCluck will be in charge of the kids so I can watch in peace!!

Medee · 25/04/2011 11:54

Hello all, just to let you know that we are back in hospital with EA. She had started having fits in her legs, and then Saturday evening (just as my ham cooked in Coca-cola a la Nigella beeped in the oven) she had a fit with both arms and legs going, so we hotfooted it to A+E. She's been seen by the consultant neurologist who was going to be seeing her soon anyway, he luckily was on duty on Sunday, and they've started her on an oral anti-convulsant, that she'll continue to get at home. Hopefully we're just in for a couple of days while they tweak the dose and check her response, but it is certainly a response to the brain bleeds from her previous seizures. However, these ones shouldn't cause her any more brain damage. Phew, it's a rollercoaster this parenting lark.

AlpinePony · 25/04/2011 12:16

Medee I'm so sorry you're going through all of this. Is there anything we can do to help you as a family even from afar? We can't even cook/clean/iron for you. :(

Medee · 25/04/2011 12:27

Thanks Alps. I need some bread :) Seriously, MrM's mum is coming up tomorrow, and mine is up on Saturday, so we are fine.

Casserole · 25/04/2011 12:40

I'm so sorry too x

PerfectDromedary · 25/04/2011 17:01

Meds Is shite. Thinking of you.

Muser · 25/04/2011 17:37

Lots of love Medee.

SilverSky · 25/04/2011 18:26

Same here meds. MB and I sending you unESHly hugs.

FannyPriceless · 25/04/2011 21:54

meds Have just seen your update. Thinking of you and EA so much. xxx

rollerbaby · 25/04/2011 21:56

Meds - nothing to say except my thoughts are with you during all of this stress. I really hope little one is ok and you get some answers from the doctors soon. x

CluckyKate · 25/04/2011 22:18

Sorry to hear little EA is back in hospital - this parenting lark has been pretty tough on you so far....fingers crossed for a smoother ride to follow.

In other news, MrCluck has been a total and utter fuckwit and put my mobile phone on the roof of the car without telling me. It is now somewhere along about a 5-mile stretch of road, most likely smashed to smithereens (which would explain why it can't be seen). A replacement is somewhere in the region of 400 smackers - am hoping I can claim on our contents insurance. Am I being unreasonable to want to throttle him Angry

Silv - how's the hoss?
Same question to Boxer and did he enjoy the party?

Backinthebox · 25/04/2011 22:35

Med hope things are better soon with EA, I really do. You haven't had the easiest of starts and you deserve a bit of a let-up.

Cluck Little horse was awesome! We pallied up with the ladies in the trailer next to me and cantered (err, OK, galloped occasionally like Pony Club kids) over the jumps and walked in between because it was ver' ver' hot. Little horse didn't know what had hit him. He had to get better at going down steep hills rather quickly, and by the end was skipping along down hill easily. The river crossings were fab and we ended up in the river up to the saddle flaps. Was also very pleased to have some people come over to me and say they had recognised us from a long way off as Little horse is so handsome and recognisable. Was spoilt with Big horse's good looks.

Backinthebox · 25/04/2011 22:37

PS Cluck MrCluck gets the special award for fuckwittedness this weekend, I think. No more cricket for him?
