Tink I did some clothes shopping for DD today too. Bought shirt and short ensembles, 2 dresses, socks and denim cap that looks darling on her. Do need to get some more appropriate summer shoes, she isn't liking the flip flops too much yet. Actually, all she wants to wear are the damn ladybug rubber boots we bought her last month, I mean, all the time! This morning, I pulled out her sneakers to wear, and she said, "No no no", shaking her head, put them away and put on the boots! lol At least she put the sneakers away, I suppose. Grin

Gorgeous day here today, off to bake cookies for play date tomorrow and DD will be up in time to scoot off to the park a bit before dinnertime. Grin I love summertime! So much easier wearing the little beggars cutey pies out for a good night sleep.

Evening,

I am just off to bed, so just a flypast.

GA, my dd was seriously obsessed with her rainbow wellies for months, so much so that I've had to order them in the next size up. She used to get up in the morning and put them straight on and that's all she'd wear on her feet. Until I bought her a pair of slippers last week. They were in favour with the wellies very much in second place until yesterday, when she suddenly switched allegiance back to the beloved wellies. Grin Her little friend is the same with her wellies as well - I think perhaps its because they're so easy for them to get on and off on their own.

Tink, I bought dd some lovely tunic/blouses in H&M on Wednesday for a fiver each in the sale. She looks so lovely in them. Also got her a fab rainbow striped sundress in GAP, which was daft money by comparison, but she was desperate for as soon as she saw it on the rail. Grin

Are we noticing a bit of a rainbow theme going on with dd here? (She also has a rainbow sunhat and two pairs of rainbow mittens. Grin)

Best shoe bargain we've had was a lovely pair of kickers t-bar shoes, rrp £40, but got them for £16 in the sale. She looks sooo cute in them too. Smile

missjackson · 09/04/2011 21:02

dog thanks for making me smile ... hope the hangover wasn't too [ouch].

I am here, just reading rather than getting around to posting - usually reading while bf-ing - had forgotten how endless it is.

Sounds like some good shopping has been done by tink, GA, and MM - I can only contribute lovely pair of denim boden baggies which are nice and light. Did spend ridiculous amount in recent frugi sale on clothes for DD for when she's 1 - that's silly I know, but they were too gorgeous not to.

Waves to everyone.

DOG You are a riot. Grin

This morning I was under the impression DD and I were going over to one of my mama friends place for a playdate and an 'interview' by her nursing master student friend for her thesis. Well, I got there, slightly late as usual, and it was a surprise baby shower!! Grin I couldn't believe they pulled it off. It was fab. They bought a slew of white one-zees and we painted them with holiday stuff and birthdays and it was just fun. The big present was the stroller I've been eyeballing too! How awesome is that!!! I'm beaming. I'm so lucky to have such a great bunch of mummy friends.

Now, off to crash on couch. DD was almost asleep before I got her out of her clothes. lol

hackneyzoo · 09/04/2011 22:04

Grin Dog.
Booking marking am up in the toon with PILs. Glorious weather here (a mil would say!) Have found most gorgeous house to buy and have almost persuaded DP.....it backs onto a river...need to go and do a bit more persuading...Wine

GotArt · 10/04/2011 01:02

HKZ I watched an episode of Dr. Oz, (not sure if you get him in the UK) but it was about relationships, etc, etc, and it is proven to be very beneficial to ask your husband for something, or win him to your side of things, by taking him for a walk. Grin Hmm... walk to the pub, have a pint, or two, walk him home, tell him about buying house. Grin

missjackson · 10/04/2011 08:48

Post us a link hkz! How exciting. Wouldn't you miss Hackney though?

I will remember that GA for future negotiations, how interesting.

dog wedding sounds like fun. I like your hangover tip - also I forget that you are very youthful and that helps, I seem to remember. We almost made mojitos last night but no mint. N is a total sweetheart at night - we co-sleep and she snuffles a feed down every 3 or so hours, but she goes straight back to sleep, and I mostly sleep thru her feed too - so all good so far. She's actually hardly been awake since being born, only for an hour or so at a time, so I do slightly wonder how she will ever learn to do things like smile?! Anyway, not complaining... she is a much more relaxed baby than DS was.

LOL at Dog being ancient at 26, yes dear.............oestoporosis will be setting in very soon, better get down to cash and carry and stock up on the Tena lady tooWink

MissJ- baby N sounds adorable, must pop up and see you guys in the summer and enjoy that lovely part of Wales.

Big waves to everyone else, Tink, Got art, Moose,120, Tree and Stripey (hope the tiredness has subsided a little).

Well, off to enjoy the sunshine after spending the morning circuit training, it certainly is hard to motivate myself in this weather but the thought of having to wear more revealing clothes as it gets warmer is keeping me on the case!

Trend stroller. It comes with everything you see but only one car seat. Truly amazing.

Pat Sounds like you are doing a fab job at the exercising... I can't wait to get back at too.

DH bought DD a complete works of nursery rhymes and the very first one is about a hunter shooting the heads off ducks! lol. Good grief. And people are worried about what kids are exposed to now. lol

Teaandcakeplease · 11/04/2011 22:25

Just a quick fly by. I'm busy packing for bonny Scotland. So I'll probably not get on here much until I'm back. I'll miss not checking in with you all until back. Unless FIL can give me the key to his broadband if it's wifi, then I could check in from my phone
