It was getting desperate and since MrsMCJnr suggestion came in last and I was being lazy I just went for that - hope that is ok.

This sums up M to a tee Blush

She had her little dance class today and normally there are maybe 8 kids but today there were 12. So at one point the teacher asked them to get into pairs which I thought M might find difficult as 2 of her best friends go but they always choose each other iyswim so I was waiting for tantrum Blush

But no, M basically goes up to another child and forces her to be her partner (which other child was happy with as she had a partner iyswim)

Anyway at the end of the class on the way home I asked M if she knew the other child and and she said yes her name is Diana and she goes to nursery with her etc, so I said something like "thats nice now you can be her friend" and she said "no mummy, I don't like her I just needed a partner" Hmm

Oh to be 3!!!

madmouse · 04/11/2011 10:56

Oh Simps, are you sure she is 3 and not 13? lol!

Have a poorly Nathan at home - he had this rotten cough and yesterday we thought he was on the mend but this morning he was not well at all. Feverish and working a bit too hard to breathe. So took him to our (fabulous) surgery first thing and he has a chest infection and a sore throat. So we're home with antibiotics and nurofen/calpol. He's not too bad now - eaten some biscuits and is drinking ok.

I could do without this as I'm seeing a therapist on Monday regarding my anxiety relating to Nathan's health....

latrucha · 04/11/2011 14:33

Simpson - Shock That's what we call minx behaviour round here! It does show some really complex thought processes. I'm not sure S could really formulate all that to herself and articulate it. Is it like this?

Madmouse - Sorry to hear Nathan's poorly. Good on you for getting some help with regard to your feelings about N's health. At least the issues will be uppermost in your mind [silver lining emoticon]? Thanks for the ipod information. Between you, you and DH have put me off.

S is really into building things at the moment. I wanted to get her some Duplo so posted an ask for discount codes and have ended up being offered this second had by another mnetter. I am chuffed. She will now officially adore her Christmas, birthday and Reyes presents and I can relax! I always get very anxious about Christmas and birthdays these days but am trying really hard to overcome it. it's not resent centered anxiety, but having ones I'm pleased with helps me.

simpson · 04/11/2011 15:50

LaT - it is a more expensive version like that. My dad bought it for me last Xmas. I love it!!!

M has her first reading book from nursery Shock

latrucha · 04/11/2011 18:09

Currently invoved in a stand off with a starving Sabela who is nonetheless refusing to eat one of her favourite foods because she wants a yoghurt.
Sigh. I thought we were over this but Friday night tiredness has brought all our worst behaviours back!

Thanks Simpson. I assume you have to read it to her?

latrucha · 04/11/2011 19:02

Resolved! And we both won after a sort - that os we ended up with cuddles and kisses.

simpson · 04/11/2011 20:00

Had a look at M's book, it is one of the dreaded Biff, Kipper ones

There are no words just pictures in a story so she has to tell me the story.

She can read some words ie she knows all the characters Biff, Chip, Floppy etc and she can read mum & dad.

Grrr on the stand off.

Feel sorry for M as they are making porridge in nursery on tues and although she can make it she won't be able to eat it, I predict tears Sad

simpson · 04/11/2011 20:01

Envy on the duplo castle, M would love it!!!

latrucha · 04/11/2011 20:03

You can make porridge with water, Simps.

simpson · 04/11/2011 20:13

she gets special milk on prescription but unfortunately is very severely intolerant to oats.

Don't suppose you can make porridge without oats Sad

latrucha · 04/11/2011 20:26

Sorry Simpson. I had forgotten that. Baby porridge's often don't contain oats [hopeful emoticon]

simpson · 04/11/2011 20:28

may have a look, thanks. Smile

simpson · 04/11/2011 21:03

Riven has just suggested millet so will try and get some of that Grin

madmouse · 05/11/2011 16:56

I looked in our mega Tesco Simps and they had buckwheat and quinoa but no millet

madmouse · 05/11/2011 17:05

Quinoa porridge for Simps

here

here

simpson · 08/11/2011 21:57

thanks Smile

I managed to get millet for M which made today and the nursery staff said it came out a little thick but she ate it!!!

Having a few problems with M at nursery She is in a group of 3 or 4 girls (she has known them all before she began nursery) so problems begin when they have to work in pairs etc as they all want to be with someone else

And lots of stories at home about so and so says I cannot be her friend, or play with X, bla de bla is not my best friend anymore.....

What is she going to be like in 10yrs time???? Shock

latrucha · 09/11/2011 09:27

Sabela is a total threenager at the moment. She is also staggeringly jealous of Danny all of a sudden .This morning I was trying to do the technique of acknowledging her feelings blah di blah. She wasn't remotely interested until I suggested that we might go to the cafe just me and her at the weekend. Cue screaming and crying 'I don't want to go to school. I want to go to the cafe.' Sigh.

Danny's waking is getting earlier and earlier. It was 4am today. He seems to have no control over it. He's just ready to get up. Tried Calpol, CC all the rest of it to no avail.

Patience is a virtue. Repeat until you fall asleep......

Apparently, they CAN get it all out of their system at 3 Simpson. Fingers crossed.

I'm trying to sort out Sabela's birthday party. she plays with everyone at school and every time she is dropped off people throw their arms around her. But she says she wants 'Just only Molly.' Unfortunately that not only leaves out all the people she is friends with who have invited her but also their third corner of their triangle, Abigail who is a shy little thing. Sigh. I think I'll try again in a month or so.

madmouse · 10/11/2011 16:15

I love the word Threenager LaT Grin

latrucha · 10/11/2011 17:21

Oh you should see her sigh and roll her eyes. Grin

simpson · 11/11/2011 21:24

another one who loves threeanger Grin

Got stopped by M's teacher on the way out of nursery today and I admit I had a bit of a way has she done now moment Blush

But the teacher wanted to say how good her fine motor skills are esp for being left handed and how well she "reads" her book to the teacher ie spouts waffle about what is happening in the pictures. The teacher said that for most of the kids there its like extracting teeth getting any information but for M its hard to shut her up Grin Those words not used exactly, but the meaning was there Blush

simpson · 11/11/2011 21:28

what has she done now!!!

latrucha · 11/11/2011 21:44
Smile

S is left-handed too.

simpson · 11/11/2011 22:44

is she ok with it?? I mean M is okish with holding pen etc although complains after a bit saying it hurts

But she is not great with sissors etc and finds it hard Sad Nursery have said they have left handed sissors and what they tend to do rather than encourage them to use left handed sissors, just get M to try both and see which is easier...

She does everything else with her right hand though, like eating etc.

madmouse · 11/11/2011 22:49

Simps I got these scissors for Nathan and he is so good with them.

simpson · 11/11/2011 23:22

Ooh thanks madmouse will order them for Molly tomorrow Grin
